Use

Consider what results you want for your hair, less defined waves or bigger waves. Press the two buttons located on the handle at the bottom of the rotatable waving plate. At the same time turn the plate 180° so that the side you want to use (big or small waves) is against the bottom fixed side of the tongs. NOTE! Do not rotate more than 180°, otherwise the handle may break. Then release the buttons. You will hear a click when the plate is in the correct position.

Plug the appliance in and select the preferred temperature. The hair waving tongs have 3 temperature settings. Select the temperature based on your hair type:

160 °C low temperature – thin fine hair/coloured hair
180 °C medium temperature – normal hair
200 °C high temperature – thick and resilient hair

Always start on the lowest settings and then increase the temperature if necessary. Place the waving tongs on a heat-resistant surface while they heat up.

Make sure your hair is dry before using the tongs. Clamp a section of hair around 5 cm wide between the plates. Start at the scalp and distribute the hair evenly between the tongs. Hold for a few seconds, depending on the length and type of hair, and then carefully open the tongs. Continue down to the ends of the hair, overlapping slightly on the already styled hair for even results. To ensure the hair holds its wave, do not comb or brush the hair until it has cooled.

The more hair you place between the tongs, the softer your waves will be. Make sure that the hot parts of the tongs do not come into contact with your scalp, face, neck or hands.

Do not use the tongs on wigs, extensions or artificial hair without testing them first on a small strand of hair to check if there is a risk of the wig/artificial hair melting.

Lock function

The tongs have a practical lock function which makes them easier to carry with you. Activate the lock function by pressing the plates together and pushing the lock button on the upper side of the appliance upwards. To unlock it again, press the plates together and push the button in the opposite direction so that the plates are released.

Cleaning and maintenance

- Unplug the appliance at the wall socket and allow it to cool down completely on a heat-resistant surface before cleaning. Make sure that the appliance is out of the reach of children. The appliance reaches very high temperatures when in use, and therefore takes a long time to cool down.

- The appliance and cord must not be immersed in water or other liquids and must not come into direct contact with water.

- Make sure that water does not get into the casing!

- Wipe the exterior of the appliance and the tongs with a damp cloth. Wipe with a dry cloth.

- The cord must not be wrapped around the appliance.

- Make sure that the appliance has cooled completely and is dry before putting it away.

- Place the plastic cover provided over the rotatable large tong. Keep the appliance in a safe, dry place out of the reach of children after use.
