Use

Plug the appliance to a wall outlet. The switch's indicator light comes on. Press the switch for around 1 second and the display shows 160 (the preset temperature) and a beep is heard. If you want to change the temperature, set the wanted temperature between 130-200°C by means of the + and - buttons on the handle. Select temperature setting depending on your hair type, see the recommendations below. The temperature bars go on and off alternately until the set temperature has been reached.

The temperature bars are permanently lit.

120-160°C low temperature - thin, fine hair/coloured hair

160-190°C medium temperature - normal hair 190-200°C high temperature - very thick and dense hair

Position the curling iron with the ON/OFF button facing upwards in order that the curling iron is resting on the stand. Make sure that the support is even and heat-resistant.

Make sure that the hair is completely dry before you use the curling iron. Open the clamp of the curling iron and press an approximately 5 cm wide hair section. Spread the hair section evenly in the clamp and roll the iron towards the scalp. If you just want to curve the hair ends with the curling iron, you just place the ends in the clamp and wind the hair half a turn or a full turn as you wish. Hold it for about 5-8 seconds depending on the length and texture of the hair. Open the clamp carefully and release the curl from the iron. To maintain the curl let the hair cool before combing or brushing.

If you want screw curls, roll up less hair. If you want to have bigger and softer curls, roll up more hair.

Make sure that the hot parts of the curling iron do not touch your scalp, your face, neck or hands. Do not use the appliance for wigs, hair extensions or artificial hair without having tested the appliance on a small section of hair, as there may be a risk that the hair will melt.

Button locking function

In order to lock the buttons in order to avoid inadvertent changing of the temperature setting or switching off the curling iron, slide the lock button on the side of the handle to the “locked padlock”. The symbol in the display changes to locked. To unlock it again, slide the button to the “open padlock”. The symbol in the display changes to unlocked.

NB! If the curling iron cannot be started once plugged in, check first that the lock button function is not activated.

Auto-off function

The curling iron automatically turns off after around 40 minutes. The display then switches off completely while the switch will remain lit. Note that the curling iron is not switched off completely until it has been unplugged. In order to reactivate the curling iron press the ON/OFF button and set the wanted temperature. The auto-off function is a supplementary safety function, but as a main rule, the appliance should always be unplugged after use.

Cleaning and maintenance

- Switch off the appliance by pressing the ON/OFF button until the display switches off and a beep is heard. Unplug and let the curling iron cool completely on a heat-resistant mat before cleaning. The curling iron reaches very high temperatures during use and consequently it takes some time before it has cooled off completely. Make sure that the appliance is out of the reach of children.

  • Never immerse the appliance and the cord in water of any other liquid.
  • Be careful that water does not penetrate into the housing!
  • Wipe dry the housing and the plier of the appliance with a damp cloth. Wipe with a dry cloth.
