Frequently Asked Questions - ACR-3888 AKAI

How do I set the time on my AKAI ACR-3888 watch?
Pull the crown out to the first position to set the date, or to the second position to set the time. Turn the crown clockwise or counterclockwise until the correct time is displayed. Push the crown back in to start the watch.
What type of battery does the ACR-3888 use and how long does it last?
The watch uses a SR626SW silver oxide battery. Under normal use, the battery lasts approximately 2 years. When the second hand jumps every 4 seconds, it is time to replace the battery.
Is the AKAI ACR-3888 water resistant?
Yes, it is water resistant to 3 ATM (30 meters). This means it can withstand splashes, rain, and hand washing, but not swimming or diving.
How do I change the strap on my ACR-3888?
Use a spring bar tool to compress the spring bar between the lugs. Remove the old strap and attach the new one by aligning the spring bar with the lug holes and pressing it into place. Ensure the strap is securely attached.
The watch stopped working. What should I do?
First, check if the crown is fully pushed in. If it is, the battery may be dead. Replace the battery with a new SR626SW. If the watch still does not work, contact a professional watchmaker.
Can I wear my ACR-3888 while exercising?
The watch is splash resistant, but sweat and moisture can affect the leather strap. It is best to avoid intense exercise where the watch may get wet or hit hard objects.
How do I set the date on my AKAI watch?
Pull the crown out to the first position. Turn the crown clockwise to advance the date counterclockwise to adjust the day (if applicable). Set the correct date and push the crown back in.
What should I do if the watch fogged up inside?
Moisture inside indicates a seal failure. Remove the watch from moisture, place it in a dry environment with silica gel. If it persists, take it to a watch repair shop for gasket replacement.
How do I clean my AKAI ACR-3888 watch?
Use a soft, lint-free cloth to wipe the case and crystal. For the leather strap, avoid water and use a leather conditioner. Do not use chemical cleaners.
Where can I find spare parts for my ACR-3888?
Batteries (SR626SW) are available at most watch stores or online. Replacement straps (20mm width) can be found at watch accessory shops. For other parts, contact AKAI customer support.
