Frequently Asked Questions - DT22M-O AOPEN

How do I clean the touch panel?

Use a clean, dry, soft cloth. For sanitization, use isopropyl alcohol. Do not spray liquids directly; apply to cloth first. Avoid harsh chemicals, compressed air, or steam.

The touch function is not working. What should I do?

Reconnect the USB touch cable. Check if the touch panel is detected in Device Manager. If not, test with a different USB cable. Ensure the correct driver (PenMount) is installed.

How do I update the touch firmware?

Only update if you have issues. Open PenMount PCIMSet, select 'Field Update', click 'Load Firmware' to choose the correct firmware file, then click 'Update'. Wait for 'PASS' confirmation.

The display shows no image. What can I check?

Ensure power is connected and the power LED is on. Check HDMI/VGA cable connection. Verify the input source is correct via OSD (press SOURCE key). Test with another device.

How do I mount the DT22M-O?

It supports VESA 100x100mm rear mounting and side mounting on all four edges. Use M4 screws. For side mount, use the provided bracket kit; follow the diagram in the manual for cut-out dimensions.

Can I use this monitor outdoors?

The front is IP65 rated (dust and water jets), but the operating temperature is 0-50°C. For direct sunlight, an optional anti-UV design (ASTM G154 500HR) is available. Avoid rain or extreme conditions.

What is the power input requirement?

DC 19V (12-19V range accepted) via the included 65W adapter. Use only the provided adapter or a compatible one to avoid damage.

How do I lock the OSD keys?

Press and hold the MENU and SELECT keys simultaneously to activate Key Lock. The LED will indicate lock status. Repeat to unlock.

What operating systems support the touch driver?

Windows, Linux, and Android are supported. Ensure you download the correct PenMount driver for your OS.

What is the expected lifespan of the monitor?

MTBF is 50,000 hours demonstrated. With proper care, the touch panel and LED backlight should last many years.

3-1. VESA-bracket support

The system support standard 100x100mm VESA mount, so other VESA mount bracket followed this standard spec can be assembled. Please use the system attached VESA screw - M4, otherwise will be broken system's VESA screw hole.

3-2. Side Mount bracket support

Can option Side mount bracket, suggest assembly way as following

installation notes :

1. attach bracket -A.2 to touchscreen (all four side) with M4 screws

2. attach bracket -A.1 to customer panel per cut-out drawing(all four side)

3. attach bracket -B to bracket -A.1 on all four sides with M4 screw

4. adjust depth of bracket -B so monitor is flush with customer panel

5. place touchscreen into customer panel opening

6.secure touchscreen to bracket-B from behind with M4 screws

Key Pad Keys Define: Total 6 keys

Special Note:

• Press "MENU" key & "SELECT" key at the same time to turn on the "Key Lock" Mode.
• 1 bi-color led. The led must be blue permanently when the video signal is correct. If is not connected a video cable or if the video signal is wrong then must be in red color

Appendix A: TroubleShooting

• Non-functional Display

1. Make sure power is connected.
2. Please press the system power switch (ensure small power light at right rear of screen is on).
3. Please ensure HDMI cable or VGA cable is connected.
4. Please confirm OSD menu is functioning.
5. Please confirm the display signal of connected player or host is normal.

• Non-functional Touch Operation

1. Reconnect the Touch USB Cable.
2. Please confirm whether a touch panel device is installed in device manager. If not, please check whether Touch USB Cable damaged or switch to a different Cable.
3. Please ensure the correct driver is in use.

Appendix B: Touch Panel Maintenance and Cleaning

The maintenance and cleaning of the touch panel is quite simple. We recommend that you wipe it down with a clean, dry, and soft cloth regularly and use alcohol or isopropyl alcohol for decontamination and sanitization only when necessary. When using other solvents or cleaners, be sure to follow the manufacturer's precautions and guidelines.

• Do not use any chemicals to clean the touch panel.
• Do not spray detergent directly on the touch panel. These cleaners may seep into the screen or contaminate the front cover.
• Spray the cleaning agent on a soft cloth to wipe down the touch panel.
• After cleaning, make sure that no residual detergent on the surface of the touch panel will seep into the screen.
• Be careful when cleaning the touch panel. Do not use excessive force when wiping or push down on the touch panel.
• Do not use compressed air, water jets, or steam to clean the surface of the touch panel as they may damage the function of the touch panel.
• If food or drink falls on the surface of the touch panel, please remove immediately.

Notes:

1. If there is liquid on the surface of the touch panel, it must be dried first before the touch panel can operate normally.
2. There must be no foreign objects on the surface of the touch panel when booting.

Appendix C: Updating Touch Panel Firmware

If you currently have no problems with the touch panel, you do not have to upgrade firmware version. • If need to update firmware, please follow the steps below:

1. Open “PenMount PCIMSet” and select “Field Update.” Select “Load Firmware” and select suitable firmware.

1. Select "Update" to update firmware.

1. If "PASS" is shown, update was successful.
