Frequently Asked Questions - RSC050WW8E HYUNDAI

How do I set the temperature on my Hyundai RSC050WW8E refrigerator?
Plug in the appliance. The thermostat knob has 6 settings: 0 (off), 1 (warmest), and 5 (coldest). For normal ambient temperatures (21-28°C), set to 2-3. Adjust based on your needs.
Can I reverse the door opening direction?
Yes, the door is reversible. To change from left to right opening, follow the detailed instructions in the manual: remove upper hinge cover, screws, lift door, remove lower hinge, move front leg, install hinge on opposite side, and reattach door. Always unplug before starting.
How do I defrost the evaporator compartment?
When frost becomes thick, perform full defrost: unplug the appliance, remove all food, keep door open, place a basin underneath to collect water. Never use sharp tools. After defrosting, dry interior thoroughly and plug back in.
Why is the refrigerator making unusual noises?
Normal sounds include compressor and refrigerant circulation. If unusual, check if the appliance is level (adjust feet), ensure it isn't touching walls or other objects, and verify rear components aren't vibrating against each other.
How do I clean the interior?
Before cleaning, unplug the appliance. Use a cloth with lukewarm water and mild neutral soap. Avoid abrasive cleaners, powders, or steam cleaners. Dry thoroughly before reconnecting.
What should I do if the appliance does not cool?
First, check that the thermostat is not set to '0'. Ensure the mains plug is fully inserted, check the fuse/circuit breaker, and verify the socket is working. If the problem persists, contact a qualified technician.
Can I store frozen food in the freezer compartment?
No, the evaporator compartment is not designed for freezing. It is only a frost-collecting area. Store frozen food only in a dedicated freezer. The temperature here is not low enough for safe freezing.
Where can I find the model and serial number?
The type plate is located inside the appliance (on the back side or near the bottom). It contains the model name (RSC050WW8E) and serial number (SN). Also on the energy label.
How do I replace the interior LED light?
The LED light is a 'special use lamp'. To replace it, contact a qualified technician. Do not attempt to replace it yourself as it may involve electrical hazards.
