Frequently Asked Questions - UT332+ Uni-T

How do I replace the battery in the UT332+?
Turn off the meter, remove the screw on the back cover, lift the cover, and replace the 9V battery with a new one (6F22). Ensure correct polarity.
What does the Data Hold function do?
Press the DATA H button to freeze the current reading on the display, useful for capturing values in difficult positions.
How do I measure AC voltage?
Set the rotary switch to the V~ position. Connect the test leads: black to COM, red to VΩmA. Touch the probes to the circuit and read the display.
What is the maximum voltage the UT332+ can measure?
The UT332+ can measure up to 600V AC and 600V DC safely.
Does the UT332+ have a continuity test?
Yes. Set the rotary switch to the continuity/diode position (often marked with a sound wave symbol). A beep indicates continuity if resistance is low.
How can I clean the multimeter?
Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the casing. Do not use any solvents or abrasive cleaners. Keep the input jacks clean.
What safety category does the UT332+ comply with?
It complies with CAT II 600V, suitable for measuring circuits directly connected to the mains.
How do I measure resistance?
Set the rotary switch to the Ω position. Connect the test leads across the resistor. Ensure the circuit is de-energized for accurate readings.
Why does the display show 'OL'?
'OL' means Overload. The measured value exceeds the range for the selected function. Switch to a higher range if available.
Can I measure current without breaking the circuit?
No, the UT332+ is a standard multimeter and requires the circuit to be opened to insert the test leads in series. For non-contact current measurement, consider a clamp meter.

Warning

A warning identifies conditions and actions that pose hazards to the user to avoid electrical shock or personal injury, follow these guidelines:

- Inspect the case before using Meters. Do not use Meters if it appears damaged. Look for cracks or missing plastic. Pay particular attention to the insulation around the connectors.

- Replace the batteries as soon as the battery indicator "☐" appears.

- Do not use Meters if it operates abnormally. Protection may be impaired. When in doubt, have Meters serviced.

- Donot operate Meters around explosive gas, vapor, or dust.

- When servicing Meters, use only specified replacement parts.

- Do not use Meters with any part of the case or cover removed.

- Do not clean the sensor with water. Turn to dose the protective sensor cover when not in use. To avoid damage to the device, please use with care.

● Never charge the battery.

- Use the approved alkaline battery (AAA 1.5V) only.

- Pay attention to "+" and "-" marks when installing the batteries.

- Close the sensor cover and remove the batteries if Meters is not used for a long time.
