How do I set the time on the WS 7236?

Long press the MODE button for more than 2 seconds to enter time setting. Use UP or DOWN to adjust and press MODE to confirm. The setting order is: 12/24HR > time zone > hour > minute > language > year > month > date > exit. The unit will exit automatically after 30 seconds of inactivity.

Why is my outdoor sensor not showing a reading?

Ensure the sensor is powered on and within range (approximately 30-50 meters). After powering the weather station, it searches for sensors for 3 minutes. If no signal, long press the CH button to re-initiate sensor searching. The antenna symbol on the display indicates signal reception.

How do I set an alarm?

Press ALARM to select AL1 or AL2, then press MODE to switch to alarm time. Long press MODE to enter alarm setting, adjust hour and minute using UP or DOWN, and press MODE to confirm. Press ALARM to toggle alarms on/off.

How does the snooze function work?

When the alarm sounds, press the SNOOZE button (light/snooze) to delay the alarm by 5 minutes. The alarm will ring again after the delay. Press any other button to exit the alarm completely.

What is DCF77 time signal and how does it work?

DCF77 is a German time signal transmitter (77.5 kHz). The weather station automatically searches for it 3 minutes after power-on and then daily at 1:00, 2:00, and 3:00 AM. If unsuccessful, it retries at 4:00 and 5:00 AM. The tower icon blinks during search. You can manually start a search by long pressing the DCF button.

How do I switch between sensors?

Press the CH button to cycle through connected sensors: CH1, CH2, CH3, and back to CH1. To delete a paired sensor and start a new search, long press the CH button.

What do the display icons mean?

The weather station has various icons for time, date, alarms, sensor channels, DCF77 signal (tower), and battery status. Refer to the manual's LCD full display graph for exact symbols. The manual includes detailed descriptions of each icon.

How do I reset the weather station?

Press the RESET button (usually on the back or inside the battery compartment). After reset, the display will show all segments for 1 second, then it will search for sensors for 3 minutes, followed by a DCF77 time search for 7 minutes. Default settings: date 1 Jan 2009 0:00, alarm 0:00, temperature in °C, sensor CH1, language German.

Can I use more than one outdoor sensor?

Yes, the WS 7236 supports up to 3 outdoor sensors. Each sensor communicates on a different channel (CH1, CH2, CH3). You can add sensors by following the pairing instructions and assigning each to a different channel.

How do I turn on the backlight?

Press the LIGHT button (usually the moon/snooze button) to activate the LCD backlight for 5 seconds. The backlight will turn off automatically after that time to conserve battery.

RESET

• After resetting, the weather station displays full segment for 1 second, then the weather station launches the sensor searching for 3 minutes, after 3 minutes launch the DCF 77 time searching automatically for 7 minutes.

• After power on the weather station launches the sensor searching for 3 minutes.

- If it fails (the signal is not received), long press to re-activated the external sensor searching.

DFC77 TIME

• 3 minutes after power on, the weather station will automatically search for the DFC77 (77,5 kHz) time signal.
• Searching takes 7 minutes.
• While the DFC77 time signal is seeking, the tower-shaped icon will be blinking.
• The DFC77 time signal searching is automatically launched every day.
• The weather station will automatically search for the DFC77 time signal on am1:00, am2:00 and am3:00 every day. If the reception is not successful, the clock will attempt am4:00 and am5:00. If still the reception is not successful, the clock will not search for the signal on the current day.
• If it fails (the signal is not received), long press to re-activated the DFC77 time signal searching.

ALARM

BUZZER alarm time is 2 minutes and will alarm as follow:

• 0-10 seconds: beep once each second
• 10-20 seconds: beep twice each second
• 20-30 seconds: beep four times each second
• More than 30 seconds, beep continuously
- AL1 and AL2 is the same length of time and form
- When alarm, press " " will delay 5minutes to alarm, press other buttons exit alarm.
