Frequently Asked Questions - LKK-210RB Ravanson

How do I set the temperature on my Ravanson LKK-210RB refrigerator?
Turn the thermostat knob to a position between 1 and 5. Position '0' stops the refrigerator. Lower numbers provide higher cooling temperature. Position '5' is for fast freezing. After rapid freezing, return to a normal operating position.
Why is my refrigerator making a noise like running water or tapping?
These sounds are normal. Running water is typical of a working compressor. Tapping occurs due to sudden temperature changes. Also, the compressor can reach 90°C and the side walls up to 55°C during operation.
How do I defrost the freezer?
When ice builds up to 3-5 cm, set the thermostat to '0' and unplug the appliance. Remove food and open the door to let ice melt. You may place a bowl of hot water inside to speed up. Do not use metal tools or electric heaters. Wipe up water, clean, dry, and restart.
How do I clean the refrigerator?
Unplug the refrigerator. Use a soft damp cloth with neutral detergent to clean inside and outside. Avoid solvents, gasoline, benzene, alcohol, or abrasives. Pay special attention to door seals. Dry thoroughly before reconnecting.
How do I replace the interior light bulb?
Set thermostat to '0' and unplug. Remove food from top shelf and pull shelf forward. Open the light cover at the rear of the thermostat housing. Twist out the old bulb and replace with a new one (LED 1W). Close the cover.
What should I do if the refrigerator stops cooling?
Check that the thermostat is not set to '0', the plug is properly inserted, and power supply is on. Wait at least 5 minutes after a power outage before restarting. If still not cooling, check for overloading, poor ventilation, or proximity to heat sources. If problem persists, contact service.
Is it normal for the sides of the refrigerator to feel hot?
Yes, during operation the side walls can reach an average temperature of 55°C. This is normal heat dissipation. Ensure at least 10 cm clearance on sides and back for proper ventilation.
Can I store flammable substances like gasoline or alcohol in this refrigerator?
No. Do not store flammable or explosive materials such as ether, methanol, gasoline, or alcohol. The refrigerator uses flammable refrigerant R600a; keep away from ignition sources.
How long should I wait before plugging in the refrigerator after moving it?
After positioning the refrigerator, wait at least 2 hours before connecting to power. This allows the refrigerant to settle and prevents compressor damage.
What is the correct way to transport this refrigerator?
Transport only in the vertical position. Tilt should not exceed 45 degrees. Use original packaging to protect against humidity, dust, and mechanical damage.
