SETTING UP THE DEVICE
Installation of Batteries
Wireless heat sensor
- Open the rear battery cover.
- Select signal transmission channel number and select measurement scale °C/°F.
- Insert 2 batteries (type AAA 1.5 V) with the correct polarity.
- Replace the battery cover.
Station
- Open the rear battery cover.
- Insert 3 batteries (type AAA 1.5 V) with the correct polarity.
- Replace the battery cover.
Notes and Warnings:
Insert batteries into the main unit first, then into the other sensors. Use alkaline batteries only, not rechargeable ones. The station can measure up to 3 outside temperatures via 3 sensors. The pack includes only one sensor. Place the wireless heat sensor 20–30 metres away from the station. The transmission range is influenced by the construction material in the way of the transmission, as well as the mutual position of the main unit and the wireless sensor. Do not place the sensor on metal objects or in their vicinity. For best results, test various settings on the device. Though the sensors are resistant to weather conditions, they should be placed away from direct sunlight, rain or snow. Ideal placement is on the north side of the house.
Time Settings
DCF77 radio signal reception
The clock receives DCF77 radio signal in hourly intervals throughout the day. The radio signal reception takes 3 to 5 minutes. During DCF signal reception, the icon will flash. If the icon is not displayed, the DCF signal is not being received. After proper
reception of the DCF signal, the 📁 icon will be displayed permanently. If the clock has not been automatically set and the 📁 icon is not displayed within 10 minutes, the receiver is likely badly placed (most common cause). Test reception in various places. Do not place the clock on metal objects. Do not place the clock in the proximity of electrical appliances, such as TVs, computers, monitors, microwave ovens etc. Interfering electrical fields from these appliances can reach up to 2 metres. DCF signal reception can be activated manually by long pressing the DOWN button. Deactivate searching for signal by short pressing the DOWN button.
The radio controlled clock provides the most accurate time on the European continent. The radio signal propagates via radio waves (77.5 kHz) from a site near Frankfurt on the Main in Germany within a range of 1 500 km. This radio time signal automatically takes into account summer (DST) and winter time, leap years and date changes. In standard conditions (at safe distance from sources of interference, such as TV sets, computer monitors), the reception of time signal takes several minutes. If the clock does not detect the signal, follow these steps:
- Move the weather station to another location and try to detect the DCF signal again.
- Make sure the distance of the clock from sources of interference, such as computer monitors or television sets, is at least 1.5 to 2 meters when receiving this signal. When receiving DCF signal, do not put the weather station in the proximity of metal doors, window frames and other metal structures or objects (washing machines, dryers, refrigerators etc.).
-
In reinforced concrete structures (cellars, high-rise buildings etc.), the DCF signal reception is weaker, depending on the conditions. In extreme cases, place the weather station close to a window toward the transmitter. Reception of the DCF77 radio signal is affected by the following factors:
-
thick walls and insulation, basements and cellars
- unsuitable local geographic conditions (difficult to predict beforehand)
• atmospheric disturbances, thunderstorms - appliances with no disturbance elimination
- television sets and computers placed near the DCF receiver
Manual Setting of Time and Other Indicators on the Weather Station
If you hold down the MODE button for 2 seconds, the year value will begin flashing. Using the UP/DOWN buttons, you can then set: year; month; day; 12/24 hour mode; time zone; hours; minutes; day of the week language; °C/°F scale and finally hPa/inHg pressure display unit. Set the desired values and units using the UP/DOWN buttons and move in the menu by pressing the MODE button. If searching for radio signal is currently active, the setting mode cannot be used.
Calendar languages are as follows:
GE - German
IT - Italian
NE - Dutch
DA - Danish
EN - English
FR - French
ES - Spanish
Time/Date Display Mode
Pressing the MODE button switches between time and date on the display. After pressing the MODE button, the display will show date instead of time and will switch back after 8 seconds.
Sensor Channel Change and Connecting Additional Sensors
- Short press the UP button on the back of the weather station to select the desired sensor channel - 1, 2 or 3. Then long press the UP button; the icon will start flashing.
- Remove the cover from the battery compartment and insert batteries (2× 1.5 V AAA).
- Use the CH button to set the desired sensor channel No. - 1, 2, 3 which will be shown on the front panel display. Data from the sensor will be loaded within 3 minutes.
- If the sensor signal is not detected, remove the batteries and reinsert them.
Displaying Maximum and Minimum Readings of Temperature and Humidity
Repeatedly pressing the DOWN button will gradually display the maximum and minimum readings of temperature and humidity. In the MAX/MIN display mode, long press the DOWN button to delete the memory of values measured.
Atmospheric Pressure and Pressure Trend
The atmospheric pressure indicator to the right of the time shows with an arrow whether pressure is rising, stable or dropping and shows the exact hPa/inHg value next to it. You can switch between the hPa and inHg pressure scale in the mode for manual setting of time and other indicators on the weather station.
| Indication on the display | |||
| Pressure trend rising constant falling |
Setting and Activating Alarm
Repeatedly press the ALARM button. Values set for alarm 1 (A1) and alarm 2 (A2) will be displayed. To set or change the alarm time, hold the ALARM button for 2 seconds, then set the time using the UP/DOWN buttons. The settings go in this order A1-hour > minute > A2-hour > minute. Activate alarm 1, 2 or both using the DOWN button when the ALARM time is displayed on the
screen the display will show these icons:

Snooze Feature
Pressing the [SNOOZE] button while the alarm is ringing activates the snooze function. Every 5 minutes, the alarm will trigger again automatically. The alarm icon will be flashing. If you do not respond to the ringing within 2 minutes, the device will automatically switch to snooze mode. To turn off the alarm, press any button other than SNOOZE; the alarm icon will stop flashing.
Weather Forecast
The unit is able to detect changes in atmospheric pressure. Based on the readings gathered, the station can forecast weather for the next 12 to 24 hours.
Note:
• The accuracy of forecast based on air pressure is ca 70 %.
- The icon on the display indicates the weather forecast for the next 12 to 24 hours and may not correspond to the current weather.
- The sun symbol at night-time means clear skies without clouds.

Outside Temperature Alert – Setup
The activation of the temperature alert is indicated on the display by the ≈ icon. Pressing the TEMP ALERT button turns the temperature alert on and off. Holding the TEMP ALERT button activates the setting of the maximum and minimum for the outside temperature alert. Set the temperature alert values using the DOWN/UP buttons (1 °C resolution). For each sensor, the temperature limits can be set separately. After reaching the set temperature, the weather station will start beeping; press the TEMP ALERT button twice to cancel the alert. The temperature alert is active for all 3 sensors simultaneously, regardless of the sensor number shown on the display.
Snow and Hoarfrost Temperature Alert
If any of the connected outdoor sensors measure a temperature between 0 and 3 °C, the neon will be displayed.
Time Projection
After pressing the SNOOZE-LIGHT button, the projector will project the current time onto a wall. If you want to turn the projector display by 180°, hold the SNOOZE-LIGHT button for 3 seconds. To revert the change, again hold the SNOOZE-LIGHT button for 3 seconds.
