AF Lock - Locking the focus position When the scene is ®4 @ or :®, you can lock the focus position by pressing V7. Press V7 again to cancel the AF lock. Shoot pictures by comparing previews of different effects Select one ofthe [1 Shoot w/ effects preview] options from the ISHOOTING GUIDE ] menu to preview a live, multi-frame window on the monitor showing four different levels of the selected shooting effect. You can use the four preview frames to compare the desired setting/effect. +_ Use the arrow pad to selectthe frame with the desired settings and press ©). Operations during movie playback 1 playing time/Total recording time A: increases the volume. V: Reduces the volume. D: Each time you press the button, the playback speed changes in the following order: 2%; 20% and back to 1x. <} Plays the movie in reverse. Each time you press the button, the playback speed changes in the following order: 1x; 2x; 20x; and back to 1x. + Ifyou press &F/? during movie playback, the stopwatch starts. (This type of lamp is amp 1 mainly used in homes.) Fluorescent For shooting under a neutral white fluorescent lamp. (This type of lamp 2 amp is mainly used in desk lamps.) (This type of lamp is lamp 3 mainly used in offices.) 150 Changing the ISO sens AUTO Sensitivity is automatically adjusted according to the conditions of the subject 64/100/200/400/ À low value lowers the sensitivity for daylight shooting of clear, sharp 800/1600 pictures. The higher the value, the better the camera's light sensitvity and abilty to shoot with a fast shutter speed and in low light conditions. However, high sensitivity introduces noise into the resulting picture, which may give it a grainy appearance.
«Using sequential (continuous) shooting =] Shoots 1 frame at a time when the shutter button is pressed. So Focus and exposure are locked atthe first frame. The sequential shooting speed varies depending on the image quality setting. EA Pictures can be taken at à faster speed than normal sequential shooting. You can take a sequence of pictures at one time by holding down the shutter button. Shooting tips FFocusing on the subject There are several ways to focus, depending on the subject. Notes after use + Any foreign material may be adhered to the periphery of the lens cover, after you use the camera in an environment containing foreign material including dirt, dust or sand, or when the lens cover won't move smoothiy. Appendix CHE Battery Handling Precautions Follow these important guidelines to prevent batteries from leaking, overheating, burning, [exploding, or causing electrical shocks or burns. À DANGER + The camera uses à lithium ion battery specified by Olympus. Charge the battery with the specified charger. Do not use any other chargers. Never heat or incinerate batteries.
