How do I change the door hinge direction?

The door hinge is reversible. You need a medium cross-tip and flat-headed screwdriver. Follow the step-by-step instructions in the manual (pages EN-20 to EN-21). Ensure the appliance is unplugged before starting.

How do I set the temperature?

Press the SET button once (the indicator flashes), then use the up/down buttons to select the desired temperature. Press SET again or wait 8 seconds to confirm.

How many bottles can this wine cooler store?

Up to 45 standard 0.75 L wine bottles. Maximum load per shelf is 17 kg.

Why is the compressor not running?

If the control element is off, check the power supply and plug. If the control element is on but compressor off, the desired temperature may already be reached; the compressor restarts automatically when needed.

This refrigerator is designed for use in an ambient temperature of +16 °C to +32 °C.

The appliance is designed for use in private households and is not designed for commercial use or multiple use (e.g.: use by several parties in a block of flats).

The appliance is not suitable for storing blood reserves, medical products, laboratory samples, etc.

This appliance is not designed for use as a built-in appliance unless unrestricted circulation of air is guaranteed and the prescribed minimum clearance distances are adhered to (see "Start-up" on page EN-16).

The interior light must only be used to illuminate the interior of the appliance. It is not suitable for lighting a room.

People who are unable to operate the appliance safely due to their physical, sensory or mental abilities or lack of knowledge must be supervised during use.

Do not make any technical changes to the appliance.

■ Do not operate or continue to use the appliance, if it
– shows visible signs of damage, e.g. the supply cord is defective,

■ To disconnect this appliance from the power supply, pull the mains plug out of the socket. The appliance must, therefore, be connected to an easily accessible socket so that it can be quickly disconnected from the power supply in the event of a breakdown.

■ If the mains plug is no longer accessible after installation, an all-pole disconnecting device complying with overvoltage category III must be connected to the house wiring with a contact gap of at least 3 mm; consult

a qualifi ed professional if necessary (see „Service“ on page EN-23).

• When positioning the appliance, ensure the supply cord is not trapped or damaged. Do not kink the supply cord or lay it over sharp edges.
• Keep the supply cord away from naked flames and hot surfaces.
  ■ Always pull on the mains plug and not the mains cable.
  ■ Never touch the mains plug with wet hands.

Risks associated with using refrigerants

Your appliance's refrigeration circuit contains the environmentally friendly, but fl ammable refrigerant R600a (isobutane).

• Do not use mechanical devices or other means to accelerate the defrosting process, other than those recommended by the manufacturer. For example, do not use any electric heating equipment, knives or devices with an open flame such as a candle. The thermal insulation and the interior are scratch and heat-sensitive and can melt.

• Do not use electrical appliances inside the food storage compartments of the appliance, unless they are of the type recommended by the manufacturer.

• Keep the appliance away from open flames and hot surfaces.
  ■ Mechanical intervention in the refrigeration system must only be carried out by authorised specialists.
• Do not damage the refrigerant circuit, e.g. by puncturing the refrigerant channels of the condensate evaporator with sharp objects, bending the piping, or cutting open the insulation.
  ■ Until the point of proper disposal, ensure that none of the cooling fins or tubes on a refrigerating appliance are damaged.
  ■ Refrigerant is fl ammable when spurting out and can damage the eyes. In this case, rinse your eyes in clean water and seek medical assistance immediately.
• To prevent the formation of a fl am-mable gas-air mixture in the event of a leakage in the refrigeration circuit, the installation space must have a minimum size of 1 m ^3 per 8 g of refrigerant in compliance with the EN 378 standard. The amount of re-frigerant contained in your appliance can be found in the technical data at the end of this user manual.
  ■ To avoid the formation of sparks, do not pull out the mains plug in the event of a gas leak.
  ■ Dispose of old electrical appliances at an authorised collection or return point.
  ■ Only use original accessories.

• Do not store explosive substances such as aerosol cans with a fl ammable propellant in this appliance.

■ Clean regularly surfaces that can come in contact with food and accessible drainage systems.
■ If the refrigerating appliance is left empty for long periods, switch off, defrost, clean, dry, and leave the door open to prevent mould developing within the appliance.

Incorrect handling, insufficient cooling or overlapping items can spoil the stored food. This could lead to a risk of food poisoning when consumed!

■ Abide by the storage times recommended by food manufacturers.

The appliance may not operate properly if the ambient temperature exceeds or falls below the specified temperature range for a prolonged period. This can then lead to an increase in temperature inside the appliance.

■ Always ensure the prescribed ambient temperature is maintained (see "Intended use" on page EN-4).

If the cooling unit has been transported horizontally, lubricant from the compressor may get into the cooling circuit.

■ If possible, only transport the appliance in a vertical position.
- Allow the refrigerator to stand upright for two hours before start-up. The lubricant will flow back into the compressor during this time.

Improper handling of the appliance can lead to damage to property.

• Do not pull or lift the appliance by its doors or door handles.
• Place the appliance only on a level and firm surface that can support the weight of the appliance when it is filled.
  ■ Do not use sharp or pointed objects to unpack it.
• When unpacking the appliance, never damage the insulation material on the back of the appliance.
• Do not use mechanical devices or other means to accelerate the defrosting process, other than those recommended by the manufacturer.

■ The interior light must only be used to illuminate the interior of the appliance. It is not suitable for lighting a room.

■ When cleaning, please note:

- Never use harsh, granular, soda, acid, solvent-based or abrasive cleaners. These attack the plastic surfaces. All-purpose cleaners with a neutral pH are recommended.

- Door seals and plastic parts are sensitive to oil and grease. Remove contaminants as quickly as possible.

– Use only soft cloths for cleaning.

- Wait 5 minutes after switching off. Only then switch the appliance on again.

Operation

Requirements for safe use

• You have read chapter "Safety" from page EN-4 and understand all the safety notices.
• The appliance is set up and plugged in as described in chapter "Start-up" from page EN-16.

Switching the appliance on and off

NOTICE

Risk of damage!

If the cooling unit has been transported horizontally, lubricant from the compressor may get into the cooling circuit.

- Allow the appliance to stand upright for approx. 2 hours after transport and before connecting.

Switching on

- Insert the mains plug into an easily accessible socket (220–240 V\~ / 50 Hz). The temperature indicator (13) will light up. The appliance is switched on.

Switching off

1. Disconnect the mains plug from the socket. The temperature indicator (13) will go out. The compressor is switched off. The appliance doesn't refrigerate.
2. Empty the appliance and clean it (see "Care and maintenance" on page EN-14).
3. Leave the glass door (3) slightly ajar to prevent mould from forming.

Controlling the temperature

The current interior temperature can be read from the temperature indicator (13) while in operation.

If you want to control your temperature setting,

- press the SET function button (12) once. The appliance will beep and the temperature indicator (13) will flash the set temperature.

Setting the temperature

WARNING

Health hazard!

The appliance may not operate properly if exposed to low ambient temperatures for extended periods of time. This can then lead to an increase in temperature inside the appliance.

■ Always ensure the prescribed ambient temperature is maintained (see "Intended use" on page EN-4).

Use the control element (2) to set the appliance's inside temperature.

Select the right temperature based on the wine. Further information on the optimum storage temperature can be found in the section "Maintaining quality" on page EN-13.

You can choose settings ranging from +4 °C to +22 °C.

1. Press the SET function button (12) once. The appliance will beep and the temperature indicator (13) light will begin to flash.
2. As long as the temperature indicator is flashing, you can set the temperature.
3. Decreasing the temperature: Push the button (14) until the desired temperature appears.
4. Increasing the temperature: Push the button (8) until the desired temperature appears.

If you hold down the For Button, the temperature indicator will

automatically scroll through the temperature settings.

1. To confirm the temperature selection,

- press the SET button once. The temperature indicator changes back to display the current interior temperature.

- Wait approx. 8 seconds. If no further input is made during this time, the flashing will stop and the setting will be saved.

The current interior temperature will be shown. The desired temperature has been set.

If you set a lower temperature, you will need higher cooling performance.

This increases the energy consumption.

LED light

Switching on

- Push the light switch (11) once. The appliance will beep and the LED light will turn on.

Switching off

- Push the light switch (11) once. The appliance will beep and the LED light will turn off.

Interior equipment

The bottle shelves (6) and (7) can be removed and rearranged as necessary.

Removing the shelves

- Lift the rear of the bottle shelf slightly and pull it out.

The presentation box (5) can also be removed from the appliance by pulling it out.

Inserting the shelves

1. Turn the bottle shelf (7) so that the front rails (16) and back rails (15) are facing up.
2. Insert the bottle shelf into the side brackets, so that the front rail is facing forward.
3. Slide the bottle shelf towards the back of the appliance until it locks into place.

Control indicators Lighting indicator

The lighting indicator (9) lights up when the LED light is on.

Cooling indicator

The ☑ooling indicator (10) lights up when the compressor is on. The refrigerant flows through the pipes and a quiet humming sound can be heard.

If the appliance is making unusual noises, check that it is stable and remove any objects that may be on top of it.

Storing bottles

- Do not store explosive substances or spray cans with flammable propellants inside the appliance, as they may cause ignitable gas-air mixtures to explode.

Filling the appliance

• Place the bottles in the slots between the wooden rails on the bottle shelf (7) and/or presentation box (5). Use the diagrams above as a guide.

• Make sure that the bottles do not directly touch the interior walls of appliance or the glass door.

• Remove the packaging (e.g. cardboard) before placing items in the appliance.
• Systematically fill the appliance so the wine you want is easy to reach so that you do not have to move the wine bottles around a lot.
• Make sure that the appliance is at least 70 % filled in order to counteract fluctuations in temperature.

■ The maximum load is 17 kg/shelf.

The appliance is designed to only hold a certain number of 0.75 l bottles.

The optimum storage temperature varies depending on the type of wine, due to the fact

that wines have different shelf lives and age differently. A temperature setting that is too high or too low can reduce the shelf life of your wine. This leads to greater food waste.

• Avoid strong and frequent variations in temperature.
• Ensure that there is enough space between the bottles to promote the circulation of air inside the appliance.
• The appliance's interior temperatures can increase and lead to increased energy consumption
• if the glass door is opened frequently or for a prolonged period.
• if the temperature falls below or exceeds the prescribed interior temperature.
• if a large number of bottles is put into storage at once.
• if the appliance's nominal capacity is exceeded.

Storage period

The storage periods of wines differs and is dependent on many factors. Use the following storage periods as a general guideline:

Additional factors

• Make sure to move the wine as little as possible during storage. Frequently moving the wine around can lead to rapid ageing.
• Ensure that the wine is kept as far away as possible from light and stored in the dark.
• Switch on the LED light as seldom as possible. Exposure to light can affect the taste.

Checking and cleaning the door seals

The door seals must be checked regularly so that no air can enter the appliance.

1. To test them, clamp a thin piece of paper in various places. The paper should be difficult to pull through at all points.
2. If the seal is not uniform everywhere: Warm the seal in the appropriate places in front of you with a hair dryer and pull it out with your fingers.
3. Only clean dirty seals with clean water.

Clean the exterior

– Coated surfaces Only use light pH-neutral soapy water.
- Stainless steel surfaces Use special stainless steel cleaner from a specialist shop. Never use polish.

Cleaning the back of the appliance

Dust deposits on the back of the appliance can affect the appliance's performance and lead to increased energy consumption.

- Remove dust and clean the back of the appliance and the compressor once or twice a year. Use a soft brush to do this.

Cleaning the inside of the appliance

1. Disconnect the mains plug from the socket.
2. Take out the wine bottles and temporarily store them in a cool room.
3. Remove the presentation box (5) and the bottle shelves (6) and (7).
4. Wipe off all parts with a damp cloth. Use lukewarm rinsing water to remove stubborn stains. Wipe down with clean water.
5. Dry all parts thoroughly.
6. Wash the interior with warm water and washing-up liquid. If ice has formed on the walls, let it thaw. When wiping clean, add a few drops of vinegar to the water to prevent mould from forming.
7. Wipe the interior dry and leave the glass door (3) open for a while to air.
8. Only clean the door seals with clean water; they are sensitive to oil and fat.
9. Replace all removed parts.
10. Put the wine bottles back in the appliance.
11. Insert the mains plug once again.

Replacing the LED light

Touching live parts may result in severe injury or death.

■ Do not remove the LED light covers.
■ Do not attempt to replace the LED light yourself.

Maintenance-free LEDs are used to light the appliance.

Moving and unpacking

Choosing a suitable location

Your appliance's refrigeration circuit contains the environmentally friendly, but fl ammable refrigerant R600a (isobutane).

- Keep the appliance away from open flames and hot surfaces.

Dangers from the refrigerant!

• Do not damage the refrigeration circuit, for example by piercing the refrigerant channels of the condensate vaporiser with sharp objects, cutting off the tubing, etc.
  ■ Refrigerant is fl ammable when spurting out and can damage the eyes. In this case, rinse your eyes in clean water and seek medical assistance immediately.

The appliance may not run properly if operated in unsuitable ambient temperatures for extended periods of time.

■ Always adhere to the prescribed ambient temperature (see “Intended use” on page EN-4).

• To prevent a flammable gas-air mixture from forming following any leakage in the refrigeration circuit, the installation space must have a minimum size of 2.2 ~m^3 .
• The appliance must only be placed on a level and firm surface. The surface must be strong enough to support the appliance's weight when fully laden.
• Suitable locations are dry, well-ventilated areas that are cool if possible.
• Unsuitable locations are ones with direct sunlight or which are directly next to an oven, hob or radiator.

- The following minimum distances must be maintained:

– from electrical hobs 5 cm
– from oil and coal burning stoves 30 cm
– from other cooling appliances 5 cm
– from washing machines/

dishwashers

• If you would like to reduce these distances, you can fit an insulation plate between the appliances.
• If underfloor heating is installed at the setup location, place the cooling appliance on an insulation plate made from solid material.

About climate categories

- Always ensure the prescribed ambient temperature is maintained (see “Intended use” on page EN-4).

Climate category means that the appliance is intended for operation at the specified ambient temperature (see table ‘climate categories’). If the room temperature drops significantly below this, the unit will not switch on as often. This indicates that an unwelcome increase in temperature may occur.

Setting up and aligning the appliance

1. Place the appliance on as flat and as firm a base as possible.

2. To ensure adequate air circulation,

3. keep the entire space above the appliance free.

4. do not place the appliance directly against the wall. Leave a gap of at least 10 cm to the back wall and 5 cm to the side.

5. Check the position with a spirit level.

1. Level out any unevenness on the ground using both of the front screw feet.

2. Close the glass door (3).

3. Tilt the appliance backwards slightly and screw in/unscrew the screw feet (4).
4. Stand the appliance back up again and check the alignment with a spirit level. Repeat the process until the appliance is standing up vertically. The appliance should not move when opening the glass door.

Cleaning before use

Connecting the appliance

Touching live parts may result in severe injury or death.

■ Do not operate or continue to operate the appliance, if it
– shows visible signs of damage, e.g. the power cord is defective,
- starts smoking or there is a smell of burning,
- makes unfamiliar noises.

In such cases, remove the mains plug and contact our service department (see page EN-23).

• Do not connect to a timer or a separate remote-controlled system for distance monitoring and control.
• Do not kink or pinch the mains cord or lay it over sharp edges. This can result in a break in the cord.

CAUTION

Fire hazard!

Improper handling of the appliance can lead to fire and damage to property.

■ Connect the appliance only to a properly installed and earthed electric socket. Do not connect to a multi-socket extension cable or a multi-socket plug.

NOTICE

Risk of damage!

If the cooling unit has been transported horizontally, lubricant from the compressor may get into the cooling circuit.

- Allow the appliance to stand upright for approx. 2 hours after transport and before connecting. This allows the lubricant enough time to flow back into the compressor.

- Insert the mains plug into an easily accessible and properly installed socket (220–240 V\~ / 50 Hz).

The temperature indicator (13) will light up. The appliance is switched on.

Changing the door hinges

! NOTICE

Risk of damage!

Improper handling of the appliance may result in damage.

■ Do not tilt the appliance more than 45^ .
■ Do not lay it on its side.

Depending on the space conditions, you can change the direction of the door hinges on your appliance. This work, however, requires you to have a certain degree of craftsmanship skills. Please read the following steps completely before changing the hinges.

You will need the following tools to change the door hinges:

– Medium size cross-tip screwdriver
– Medium size flat-headed screwdriver

Removing the glass door

1. Ensure that the appliance is not connected to the power supply.
2. Remove the Presentation box (5) and the bottle shelf (7).

1. Gently push the blanking plate (17) and hinge cover (18) upwards with a slotted screwdriver and remove them. Hold onto the blanking plate and hinge cover.

1. Ensure that the glass door cannot slip away (3) and loosen the screws (21) on the upper hinge (19). Use the cross-tip screwdriver.
2. Remove the screws and the top hinge and hold onto all parts.
3. Lift the glass door up and set it aside.

1. Remove the washers (22) from the lower (20) hinge.

1. Loosen the screws (23) and remove the lower hinge from the appliance.

1. Remove the screw (23) and the screw base (4) and screw in both parts on the opposite side.

Installing the glass door

1. Tighten the lower hinge (20) on the other side using the (23) screws.
2. Put the washers (22) on the lower hinge.
3. Rotate the glass door (3) 180° and carefully insert it on the lower hinge. Firmly hold onto the glass door. It is still loose.
4. Ensure that the glass door is positioned properly. Adjust the door if necessary. Repeat steps 1 to 4.

1. Tighten the upper hinge (19) with the screws (21).

2. Place the hinge cover (18) on the upper hinge and firmly press it down.

3. Insert the blanking plate (17) on the opposite side at the top.
4. Check whether the door seal is securely in place (see page EN-14).
5. Reinsert the Presentation box (5) and the bottle shelf (7).

Troubleshooting table

Malfunctions can occur in all electrical appliances. This does not necessarily mean there is a defect in the appliance. For this reason, please check the tables to see if you can correct the malfunction.

Never try to repair a defective or suspected defective appliance yourself. You can put your own and future users' lives in danger. Only authorised specialists are allowed to carry out this repair work.

	Ambient temperature too low or too high.	Adjust ambient temperature (see “Intended use” on page EN-4).
	Compressor seems defective.	Set the temperature to ‘4’. If the compressor does not switch on within an hour, please contact our service department (see page EN-23).
Appliance is making a noise.	Operating noises are functional and are not a sign of malfunction.	Humming: Refrigeration unit is running.
		Flowing noise: Refrigerant is flowing through the pipes.
		Clicking: Compressor is switching on or off.
	Disturbing noises. Check that it is stable.
