6. Cleaning the device

Application
Driver Software - USB 3.1 Interface
The use of the USB 3.1 interface requires an installed USB 3.1 (Gen 2) controller on your system. Please install the USB 3.1 driver software for the controller.
By connecting to a USB 3.1 host interface the IB-367-CPD+ normally will be automatically detected.
Windows ≥8 has integrated driver for the USB 3.1 interface. By connecting the device, the OS will update the driver and connect the USB 3.1 device automatically. After the device installation has completed, you can access the new device. For older operating systems (e.g. Win 7), you need to install the USB 3.1 driver at first.
Manual IB-367-CPD+
Starting up
You need power supply to get enough electricity to drive the HDDs. With the USB 3.1 Type-C" data cable you can connect the IB-367-CPD+ to a USB 3.1 Type-C" interface. For mini DP usage a USB 3.1 (Gen 2) Type-C" port with DisplayPort™ alternate mode is necessary. For USB Power Delivery 2.0 Charging a USB 3.1 (Gen 2) port with USB Power Delivery 2.0 support for
5 V/3 A, 9 V/2 A or 12 V / 2 A is necessary.
Attention: Depending on the host system, most won't charge while in use. The delivered power is suitable for charging the host computer while it is idle or turned off.
HDD/SSD Installation
- Mount your hard drives onto the removable drive tray and secure it with the screws included in the

Connect the enclosure unit to the computer via the delivered USB 3.1 Type-C™ cable.

Attach the AC power cable to the DC power adapter then connect one end to the power socket on the enclosure unit and the other end to the power socket.

Once completed, you may power on the unit. Once your computer has also booted, your operating system should recognize the drive automatically.

If the hard drive installed requires formatting, follow the formatting instructions given by the operating system to format the drive volume to your preference. Once the formatting has been completed, the device is ready for use.
Application - Using the external drive
Connect the device via the USB cable to the computer. Then connect the power adapter and switch the power button on.

Attention: A new HDD/SSD must first be initialized, partitioned and formatted by the operation system to be displayed by the system.
Attention: Please await end of read/write operations before disconnecting the HDD/SSD to avoid data lost.
If the hard disc will not be recognized instantly by the operating system, please check:
• If the driver software has been installed.
- If the HDD/SSD has been initialized, partitioned and formatted.

Power Delivery 2.0
The USB Power Delivery 2.0 feature a 5/9/12 V power supply via the USB Type-C ^™ cable with up to 24 W in total. If a notebook or handheld device is used as host it can be charged simultaneously.
Note: The Power Delivery function must be supported by the hosts Type-C™ interface!
If the host reboots while connected, the IB-367-CPD+ must be turned off and on as well to ensure further charging.
DisplayPort™ alternate mode
Just connect a screen via the mini DisplayPort™ interface and the host device should automatically recognize an additional screen.
Note: Your host device must support DisplayPort™ alternate mode on the chosen USB Type-C™ interface!
