Frequently Asked Questions - JVA030658 Jocel

How do I assemble the Jocel JVA030658 pedestal mist fan?
Start by inserting the two standing bars into the base and secure them with screws. Place the weight under the base and attach with 4 screws. Mount the main unit onto the bars, then attach the rear grille, fan blade, and front grille. Finally, place the water tank on the humidifier power base and connect the mist delivery hose. Refer to the manual for step-by-step images.
How do I use the mist function?
Ensure the water tank is filled with clean water and placed on the humidifier power base. Press the MIST button on the control panel or remote to start misting. Use the variable mist setting switch on the power base to adjust mist volume (clockwise for more, counter-clockwise for less). The indicator light turns green when operating, red when water is empty.
How do I set the timer?
Press the TIMER button repeatedly to increase the timer in 30-minute increments, from 0.5 to 7.5 hours. The corresponding indicator lights (0.5H, 1H, 2H, 4H) will show the total time. Press again at 7.5 hours to cancel all timer settings. The fan will automatically turn off after the set time.
How do I clean the fan?
Always unplug the fan before cleaning. Use a vacuum cleaner to remove dust from the rear air vents. Clean the grilles and other parts with mild soap and a damp cloth or sponge. Do not allow water to enter the motor housing. Avoid harsh detergents or solvents.
What wind modes are available?
The remote control has a MODE button to select between Normal Wind, Natural Wind (simulates breezes), and Sleep Wind (progressively quieter). These modes change the fan speed pattern automatically. The main control panel does not have this button, so use the remote.
Does the fan oscillate?
Yes, press the OSC button (oscillation icon) on the control panel or remote to start oscillation. Press again to lock the fan head in a fixed direction.
What type of batteries does the remote control require?
The remote control uses 2 x AAA batteries (not included). Insert them into the remote and ensure correct polarity.
What should I do if the mist stops working?
Check the water tank: fill it with clean water if empty. Also ensure the mist delivery hose is properly connected and not kinked. The indicator light on the power base turns red when water is low. If the issue persists, clean the water tank and hose to prevent blockages.
Is the fan safe to use outdoors?
No, the fan is intended for DOMESTIC USE ONLY and should not be used outdoors. Do not expose it to water, rain, or moisture to avoid electric shock.
How long is the warranty?
The Jocel JVA030658 fan comes with a 2-year warranty for domestic use. The warranty covers manufacturing defects but not damage from improper use, transportation, or unauthorized repairs. Keep your invoice for validation.
