6. Start-up

  1. Remove all packaging materials.

  2. Check whether all parts are available and undamaged.

If this is not the case, notify the specified service address.

6.1 Inserting/replacing the battery (B)

Before the first use OR when the light of the LEDs becomes weaker, the 1c/2c batteries must be inserted OR replaced.

For this, proceed as follows:

  1. Switch the product 1c/2c off (see "6.3. Use")

  2. Unlock (1) and remove (2) the cover 3 from the battery compartment 4.

  3. Remove any depleted batteries from the battery compartment 4.

  4. Insert (3) the 3 supplied batteries 1/2 OR 3 new IR6/AA batteries into the battery compartment 4 according to the polarity.

  5. Afterwards, close the battery compartment 4

6.2 Mounting suspension hooks

- Screw the suspension ring 1b/2b into the product 1a/2a. See Fig. C1 for the product 1c OR Fig.

C2 for the product 2.

The product 1a/2a is now ready to use.

Setting up the product

Set up the product 1c/2c in an appropriate place.

NOTE!

- The surface should be even, so that the product 1c /2c cannot fall over. The place should have sufficient free space around the 1c/2c product.

- Place a protective blanket underneath the product 1a/2a. Sensitive surfaces could become scratched by the product 1c/2c.

Hanging up product

Alternatively, you can hang the product 1c/2a on an existing hook on a cord.

NOTE!

- Make sure that the place is suitable.

Make sure that the product 1a/2a is safeguarded from falling down.

Make sure that there is sufficient free space around the product 1c/2d, in case the product 1c/2c starts to swing. It could collide with another object and the pane could break. There is a risk of injury!

Ensure that the materials used, such as hooks and string, are adapted to the load from the weight of the product 1a/2a. If you are not certain, ask a specialist.

6.3 Use

On/Off switching off the product (D)

To turn on the product 1c/2c, slide the switch 5 on the bottom of the battery compartment 1c/2c to the "ON" position. To switch off, slide the switch 5 to the "OFF" position.

Timer function (D)

The product 1c/2c is equipped with a timer function. If you move the switch 3 to the "TIMER" position, the timer function will switch on. If the timer function is switched on, the product 1c/2c will switch off automatically after 6 hours. After another 18 hours, the product 1c/2c will automatically switch back on. As long as the switch 5 is left in the "TIMER" position, this daily rhythm will be repeated.

- only clean with a dry cloth

- do not use any strong detergents and/or chemicals

- do not immerse in water

- store in a cool, dry place and protected from UV light

9. Disposal

Disposal of the packaging

The packaging and operating instructions are made of 100 % environmentally

friendly materials, which you may dispose of at local recycling centres.

The product may not be disposed of with normal household waste. Please find out about disposal options for the product from your local authority or town administration.

Disposal of the battery / rechargeable batterie

- Defective or used rechargeable batteries have to be recycled in accordance with Directive 2006/66/EC and its amendments.

- Batteries and disposable batteries are not permitted to be disposed of with household waste. They contain harmful heavy metals. Marking: Pb (= lead), Hg (= mercury), Cd (= cadmium). You are legally obligated to return used batteries and rechargeable batteries. After use, you can either return batteries to our point of sale or in the direct vicinity (e.g. with a retailer or in municipal collection centres) free of charge. Batteries and rechargeable batteries are marked with a crossed-out waste bin.
