Frequently Asked Questions - Explore 7 E7CB1-80SM ELECTROLUX

What is the maximum capacity of the blender jug?
The maximum capacity for the mini jug is 500 ml. Do not exceed the maximum level indicated on the jug to avoid spillage.
Can I blend hot liquids?
Yes, but allow liquids to cool to a maximum of 90°C. Fill the jug only half full and start on low speed. The blender jug can become warm, so protect your hands and vent steam through the filler hole.
How do I clean the blender?
For quick cleaning, pour warm water with a few drops of detergent into the jug and run a few pulses. For thorough cleaning, all parts except the motor base are dishwasher safe. The blade assembly is sharp; handle with care.
Can I crush ice with this blender?
Yes, use the Ice Crush program (O button). The blender will stop automatically when finished. Do not process hard and dry substances other than ice in the jug; use the multi-chopper for nuts, coffee beans, etc.
What accessories are included?
The package includes a mini jug with lid and measuring cup, blender blade assembly, sealing rings, a take away bottle with drinking lid and carry handle, a cooling stick, and a multi-chopper jar with blade assembly (accessories may vary by model).
How does the cooling stick work?
Unscrew the cap, fill with tap water, and freeze the stick. Place the frozen stick in the take away bottle to keep your smoothie cool for longer. The cooling stick is dishwasher safe.
Why does the blender stop during operation?
The blender has a thermal cut-out safety feature. If it stops, unplug and let it cool down for 15 minutes. Also check that the jug is properly locked onto the base.
Can I use the blender to grind dry ingredients?
For dry grinding (e.g., coffee, nuts, rice), use the multi-chopper accessory. Do not use the blender jug for dry substances except ice cubes, as it may damage the blades.
What is the maximum processing time for heavy loads?
Do not process heavy loads continuously for more than 1 minute. Allow the appliance to rest before next use.
How do I lock the jug onto the base?
Place the assembled jug on the blender base and rotate it clockwise until it locks into position. The symbol √ on the blade assembly base should align with the ^ symbol on the motor base.

14 Place the frozen cooling stick in the take away bottle. Pour your freshly prepared blend into the take away bottle (I) and fasten with the drinking lid with carry handle (J). The cooling stick can be cleaned in a dishwasher.

CLEANING AND CARE

To avoid crazing of the jug, always rinse the jug with only clean water right after usage. This is to prevent acids or essential oils from the ingredients that may attack the plastic material. After rinsing the jug, it can be washed by hand with detergent, or placed into the dishwasher for cleaning.

Avoid leaving the ready dishes (e.g. soup, smoothie, juice) in the jug for a long time, especially when acidic ingredients (e.g. lime, lemon) is processed.

However, if crazing would appear, the effect is purely cosmetic and it does not have any impact the integrity of the jug.

15 Always rinse the jug thoroughly with only clean water before placing it to the dishwasher.

Quick cleaning: Pour warm water into the jug, add a few drops of detergent.

Mix water and detergent by pressing the PULSE button then speed 2 button a couple of times. Finally, rinse the jug under running water.

16 Thorough cleaning of the blender base and interface: Switch off the blender and unplug the power cord. Wipe the blender base with a damp cloth.
