Approved use

The item is meant as protection against the sun for outside use and is manufactured for personal use. It is not intended for long-term use outside as it is only partially weatherproof. The item is not aimed at commercial use.

- The item should only be used under adult supervision and not as a toy.

- Before using the article, make sure it is properly stable.

- No open fire, BBQs, patio heaters should be placed near the item.

- Make sure that the parasol cover was fully opened before you use the article.

- Before using, examine the article for damage or signs of wear and tear.

- Before every use, verify that all parts were assembled properly. If the item is not correctly assembled it may not be safe or work properly.

• The item should not be used in unfavourable weather conditions such as strong wind, rain or snow.
• Under no circumstances use the item as protection in storms.
• Before opening and closing the item, make certain that no individuals or objects are standing too near.
• The item offers protection against direct sunshine outside. Due to reflective UV radiation you should not forget to use appropriate sunscreen.

⚠️ How to avoid material damage!

- Close the article if the wind becomes stronger or in other adverse weather conditions. Secure the article with a strap (not included in the scope of delivery) to protect it from unintended opening.

- Secure the item in extreme weather conditions, as for instance in strong wind. Store the item in a sheltered area.

- Do not leave the erected item unattended.

- Make sure that the item is standing in a suitable balcony parasol stand on a stable, flat surface. The balcony parasol stand must be suitable for a parasol of this size. It must weigh at least 25kg so that the parasol stands firmly and safely.

• Do not make any alterations to the item.
• Do not hang anything from the item's cross struts.
• Regularly check that all joints are secure.
• We accept no responsibility for accidents that occur through disregard of the above-mentioned safety instructions or through improper handling.

Assembly

Join the two poles together and firmly tighten the fixing screw. Make sure that the parasol pole drops at least 10cm into the pole below (Fig. A). Secure the fastening strap (3) to the balcony railing. Feed the umbrella post through the loop on the fastening strap and place the article in a suitable umbrella stand (not in cluded in the scope of delivery) (Fig. B). To open the shade, push up the catch until you hear it click. To close the shade, push the button on the catch and slowly let it down. Be careful not to trap your fingers.

Dismantling

To dismantle the item follow the following instructions:

Close the umbrella and pull the post out of the fastening strap and the umbrella stand. Undo the fixing screw to take the poles apart.

Cleaning and care instructions

Clean the item with a damp cloth and with a mild detergent.

Do not use petrol, solvent or strong detergent. Allow the item to dry with the shade fully open.

Storage

We recommend that you always store the article in a dry, clean and temperature-controlled room in order to enjoy it for as long as possible.

Disposal

Please dispose of the product and packaging in an environmentally friendly manner, separating different materials for recycling as required! Dispose of this item through an authorised disposal company or through your local waste disposal facilities - ask your local authority for information if further guidance is required.

Ensure that you comply with all regulations currently in force.
