Frequently Asked Questions - B130i ACER

How do I connect my laptop to the Acer B130i projector?
Use a VGA or HDMI cable depending on your laptop's output. Connect one end to the projector's respective VGA or HDMI port, and the other to your laptop. Then select the correct input source using the Source button on the remote or projector.
How do I replace the lamp on the Acer B130i?
Turn off the projector and unplug it. Wait for it to cool. Remove the lamp cover screw, slide out the old lamp module, insert the new one, and replace the cover. Reset the lamp timer via the on-screen menu: Settings > Lamp Settings > Reset Lamp Timer.
Why is there no image displayed from my device?
Check that the projector is powered on and the lens cap is removed. Verify the correct input source is selected (e.g., HDMI, VGA). Ensure the connected device is outputting a compatible resolution and is not in sleep mode. Try a different cable.
How do I clean the air filter on my Acer B130i?
Turn off the projector and unplug it. Locate the air filter (usually on the side). Remove it and gently vacuum or rinse with water. Let it dry completely before reinstalling. Clean every 500 hours of use to prevent overheating.
Can I use the projector with a 4K source?
The Acer B130i has a native SVGA resolution (800x600). It can accept a 4K signal but will downscale it to its native resolution. For best quality, use a source outputting SVGA (800x600) or XGA (1024x768) via PC or HDMI.
How do I adjust the keystone effect?
Press the Keystone button on the remote or navigate to the Image menu. Use the arrow keys to correct vertical distortion (up/down tilt) in a range of ±40 degrees. Adjust until the image appears square.
What is the recommended projection distance for a 100-inch screen?
For a 100-inch diagonal image, the projector should be placed approximately 3.5 to 4 meters (11.5 to 13 feet) away from the screen, depending on the zoom setting. Use the manual zoom ring for fine adjustment.
Does the projector have built-in speakers?
Yes, it includes a single 2W mono speaker. For better audio, connect external speakers to the audio output jack or use HDMI audio passthrough.
How do I reset the lamp timer after replacing the lamp?
Go to the OSD menu: Menu > Settings > Lamp Settings. Select 'Reset Lamp Timer' and confirm. This resets the hour counter so the projector tracks the new lamp usage correctly.
Can I mount the projector on the ceiling?
Yes, the Acer B130i supports ceiling mounting. Use a compatible universal mount with a VESA pattern (typically 100x100mm or 200x100mm). Ensure the mount is securely attached to a ceiling beam, and configure the projector's projection mode to 'Ceiling' in the OSD.
