How do I install the LED strip?

Clean the surface thoroughly, remove the protective film from the adhesive tape, and press the strip firmly onto the desired location. For secure mounting, you can also use the included screws and plastic clips. Ensure the surface is dry and grease-free.

Can I cut the LED strip to a shorter length?

Yes, the LED strip can be cut with scissors at the marked cut points. Each cut piece must be reconnected using the provided connectors. Ensure the +GRB markings align when connecting.

How do I connect two LED strips together?

Use the included eight-point plug to connect two 5 m strips. Align the +GRB markings on both strip ends. The total length must not exceed 10 m to avoid overloading.

Why is my remote control not working?

First, remove the insulating strip from the battery compartment. Ensure the remote is aimed directly at the infrared receiver (on the LED driver) within 6–8 m. If the range is reduced, replace the CR2025 battery. Check for obstacles between remote and receiver.

How do I change the remote control battery?

Slide the battery drawer out from the back of the remote. Remove the old battery and insert a new CR2025 lithium battery with correct polarity (+ side up). Reinsert the drawer.

Can I use this LED strip outdoors?

No, this product is designed for indoor use only. It is not weatherproof and should be protected from moisture and high temperatures.

How do I clean the LED strip?

Use only a dry, lint-free cloth to wipe the strip. Do not use water, solvents, or abrasive cleaners as they may damage the LEDs.

What safety precautions should I take?

OVERHEATING! Do not operate the light chain inside the packaging or when it is rolled up.

- Do not expose the product to high temperatures or moisture, otherwise the product may be damaged.

■ Never open a component of the electrical equipment or insert anything into a component of the electrical equipment.
If the light chain is not in use for any length of time (e.g.

holidays), disconnect it from the power supply.

The power cable cannot be repaired! Should the cable be damaged, the product must be rendered useless and must be disposed off appropriately.

- Ensure that the available network voltage agrees with the required operational voltage of the device before use (100–240V\~).

■ Always check the product for damage before connecting it to the power supply.

■ Always unplug the mains adapter from the socket before installation, dismantling or cleaning.

This product does not contain any parts that can be serviced by the user. The bulbs cannot be replaced.

The product is only suited for use with the included mains adapter (model no. SUN-1200300).

■ Please note that the power adapter continues to draw a small amount of power even if the lamp is turned off as long as the power adapter is

plugged into a power outlet. To switch the device off completely, unplug the power adapter from the socket.

LIFE! Batteries are not intended for children. Do not leave batteries lying around. They may otherwise be swallowed by children or pets. If accidentally swallowed seek immediate medical attention.

EXPLOSION HAZARD! Never recharge non-re-chargeable batteries, short-circuit and/or open batteries.

EXPLOSION HAZARD! Never throw batteries into fire or water. The batteries may explode.

- Keep the battery out of reach of children, do not throw the battery into fire, do not short-circuit or take the battery apart.

- Avoid contact with the skin, eyes and mucous membranes. In the event of contact with battery acid, thoroughly flush the affected area with clean water and seek immediate medical attention.

If necessary, clean the battery and device contacts before inserting the battery.

■ When inserting the battery ensure the correct polarity! This is shown in the battery compartment.

■ Only use the same type of batteries.

■ Remove the battery from the device if it is not going to be used for a prolonged period.

■ Remove depleted batteries from the device immediately. There is an increased risk of leaks!

- Avoid extreme environmental conditions and temperatures as they may affect batteries e.g. above radiators. Otherwise there is an increased risk of leaking.

■ Failure to follow safety instructions may drain batteries

beyond their end voltage. This will then pose a risk of leaking. If the battery has leaked inside your device, you should remove it immedi- ately in order to prevent damage to the device!

■ Batteries must not be disposed of in the normal domestic waste!
■ All end users are legally required to dispose of batteries properly.

- Mounting (see Fig. A)

Note: Clean the surface well onto which you wish to mount the product. The surface must be clean, free from grease and dry. Otherwise the stickiness of the double-sided adhesive tape 5 might be limited.

Note: Before use, check on a hidden area of the surface, whether the adhesive can cause damage.

Note: you will need a drill for installation.

CAUTION! Be sure not to damage lines inside the wall.

☐ Remove the protective film from the adhesive on the back of the light strips 3 and attach the LED strip at the desired point.

☐ Attach the LED driver 6 using the included double-sided adhesive tape 5 or the included screws 9.

☐ Connect the adaptor 4 to the LED driver and the LED strip. Note: Ensure when connecting the LED driver 6 with the LED strip that you align the +GRB markings on the LED driver with the +GRB marking of LED strip.

☐ Please ensure that the adaptor 4 is always accessible.

☐ Insert the adaptor 4 into the mains socket before you turn on the product.

Connecting the 2 LED strips (see Fig B):

Note: A maximum of two 5 m LED strips can be connected with the eight point plug 10 and operated with one LED driver and one adaptor 4. Otherwise there is the risk of overloading the components and fire.

Note: Ensure when connecting the ends of the LED strip using the eight point plug that you align the +GRB markings on the ends of the strips with each other.

Shorten the LED strip (see Fig C):

You are able to individually shorten the LED strip. It can be cut with scissors at the marked position, as shown in Fig. C. The cut pieces can be connected together as shown in the diagram.

WARNING! DANGER TO LIFE BY ELECTRIC SHOCK!

Before performing any work, first disconnect the light from the mains power. Remove the adaptor 4 from the socket.

Connect as described below:

☐ Remove the protective foil from the double-sided sticky tape at the ends of the component pieces of the LED strip being connected.

□ Firmly press the end of one LED strip onto the contact spikes of the connector so that this pierces the strip conductor of the LED strip from below.

Note: Ensure that you align the +GRB markings on the connector 2 with the +GRB marking of LED strip.

☐ Press a plastic clip 1 onto the newly-made connection from above.

Note: The clips must engage to secure the connection.

☐ Proceed in the same manner for forming a contact on the other end of the connector.

Note: The connectors can move in every direction, unlike the LED strip.

WARNING! The article contains sensitive solder joints. Do not lead the strip around corners or kink. This could lead to damage of the solder joints and malfunction of the light bands.

- Start-up

- Switching the LED strip on/off using the remote control

Note: The infrared receiver 7 is located on the LED driver 6. Always aim the remote control 8 directly at the infrared receiver for best reception. The range of the remote control is approx. 6–8 m.

eNote: Remove the insulating strips from the battery compartment before using the remote control for the first time.

☐ Ensure that there are no obstacles between the sender and the receiver.

☐ Press the ON button on the remote control to turn on the lights.

☐ Press the OFF button on the remote control to switch off the lights.

- Controlling the light effects using the remote control

The following functions are available:

Note: The off button on the remote control is only suitable for switching off temporarily.

☐ To switch off permanently, remove the adaptor 4 from the mains power socket.

- Changing the battery

If the range of the remote control is reduced, you must change the battery.

To do this, pull the battery drawer out of the back of the remote control and remove the battery 11 (see Fig. D).
☐ Insert a new battery as shown in the figure on the back of the remote control.

- Cleaning and Care

☐ Use only a dry, lint-free cloth for cleaning.

●Disposal

The packaging is made from environmentally friendly materials, which may be disposed through your local recycling facilities.

Contact your local authorities for information on how to dispose of the product at the end of product life.

Never dispose of the product in your regular household waste!

Dispose of the device / article at an authorised disposal centre or at your local council disposal facility. Observe the applicable regulations. In case of doubt, please contact your waste disposal centre.

Defective or used batteries must be recycled in accordance with Directive 2006/66/EC and its amendment. Return batteries and / or the device to the recycling facilities offered.

Improper disposal of batteries can harm the environment!

Never dispose of batteries in your household waste. They may contain toxic heavy metals and are subject to hazardous waste regulations. The chemical symbols of the heavy metals are: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead. Therefore dispose of used batteries through your municipal collection site.

Warranty

The device has been manufactured to strict quality guidelines and meticulously examined before delivery. In the event of product defects you have legal rights against the retailer of this product. Your legal rights are not limited in any way by our warranty detailed below.

The warranty for this device is 3 years from the date of purchase. Should this device show any fault

in materials or manufacture within 3 years from the date of purchase, we will repair or replace it – at our choice – free of charge to you.

The warranty period begins on the date of purchase. Please keep the original sales receipt in a safe location. This document is required as your proof of purchase. This warranty becomes void if the device has been damaged or improperly used or maintained.

The warranty applies to faults in material or manufacture. This warranty does not cover product parts subject to normal wear, thus possibly considered consumables (e.g. batteries) or for damage to fragile parts, e.g. switches, rechargeable batteries or glass parts.
