Introduction The Nokia Wireless Image Headset uses Bluetooth wireless technology to provide an esyway to manage calls and display favorite images. You can carry your headset around your neck usingthe provided neck strap, or attachit to your dothing withthe dip onthe back of the device. Readthisuser guidecarefully beforeusingthe headset. More detailedinfonretion about general usageis given in the user guide of your mobile phone. Do not use this user guide in place of the user guide of your phone, sinceit provides inrportant safety and rreintenance information. BH Bluetooth wireless technology The Nokia Wireless Image Headset supports Bluetooth wireless technology which allows you to connect the headiset to a corrpatible device within 10 rreters. The connection can besubjert to interferencefromobstructions such as walls or other dectronic devices. This deiceis corpliant with Bluetooth Sperification 1.1 supportingthe following profiles: Generic Access Profile, Hands- Free Profile. Generic Object Exchange Profile, Object Push Profileand File Transfer Profile. Here, Profile means a set of Bluetooth wireless technology conrrands that your phone uses for contrallingthe heacket. H Bluetooth passcode You need a Bluetooth passcodeto pair the Nokia Wireless Image Hendset with compatible devices, The passcode is 0000, and you cannot change it. In adkition, use the passcodke to protect the headset against unauthorized use. M Charge the battery Checkthe model nurber of any charger before use withthis device. This device is intended for use when supplied with power fromthe Nokia ACP- 12, ACP-8, and LCH- 12 chargers.

Warning: Use only batteries, chargers, and'enhancements approved by Nokia for

usewith this particular model. The use of any other types ray invalidate any approval or warranty, and may be dangerous. 1. Openthe charger cover, and connect the lead fromthe charger to the charger

connector. See Figure 3.

2. Gonnect the charger to an AC wall socket.

Thetext Charging is displayed briefly if the headiset is switched on. The battery chargeindicator scrolls on the display until the battery is full. M Switch the headset on and off Press and hold the power key. Bluetooth wirdess technology is activated by default when the headset is tumed on forthefirst time.

Warning: Do not switchthe device on when wireless useis prohibiter or when it

Switch the headset on for the first time When you switch the headiset on for the first time, you must pair it with your mobile phone: Pairing is important, because each time you switch on the hendset, it autoretically atterpts to connect to thefirst device with which you have paired. Create a connection from your mobile phone to the headiset using Bluetooth wireless technology. Follow the instructions in the user guide of your phone. The passcode of your headiset is 0000. Send the download application to the mobile phone The download application must be running when you copy phone book entries fromthe rrobile phone to the hendset. If the rrobile phone does not have the application needed to copy the phone book to the headset, the headset automatically attempts to sendit to the phonethe first time you connect the phone to the headset. H Make a call You can rake a call by voice dialing or by usingthe nurrbers stored in the phone book or call register. Duringa call, pres (€) toincreese and() to deresethevaure. Make a call using the phone book Saect Menu > Contacts >Names Gps) inthestandby mode). Scroil to the narre or nurrber you want, and select Options > Call. Make a call using the call register Sadect Menu > Call register >Dialled numbers, Missed calls, or Received calls. Scroll tothe name or nurrber you want, and salect Options > Call. ‘The call register contains thelast 10 rrissed andlast 10 received calls, andthe last 20 nurrbers you have called. See Call register on page 23. Make a call using voice dialing Before you use voice dialing, changethe voice dialing language to the language you spesk. See Voice dial settings on page 40. Press Voice dial. Whentheheadset displays Speak now, andsoundsatone, saythe name of the person you want to call. During the ddlay, you can canca the call by pressing Quit, or change the nurrber or person you are calling, If the displayed nameis correct, but you want to call a different ni . for example, the home nurrber instead of the mobile phone nurrber, press (©) or (3) to sdect the correct nurrber. If the displayed nameis press Change, and select the correct name fromailist of similar names. Since the headset autorratically generates a voice tag each time a nameis stored inthe phone book, you do not nead to separately record the voice tags. Note: Using voicetags may be difficult in a noïsy environment or during an emergency, so you should not ray solely upon voice dialing in all dircurrtances. You can use voice dialing only if the name of the person you want to call is inthe phone book of the headset. The headset plays the voice tag only if the voice tag playback is on. See Voice dial settings on page 40. End a call To end the call or to cancel the call attempt, press End call. 1f End call is not available, for earrple, when the call is ruted, sdect Options > End call. Make a conference call Conference calling (network senice) allows up to six persons in a call. Please checkthe availability of the senice with your network service provider.

M Call register C4 The headset registersthe phone nurrbers andthe approimate length of the calls that have been rrissed, received, or dialed using the headiset. In addition, the call register contains the calls that have been missed or received using the connected phone. he head registers rissed and received calls only if the network supports these functions, the headset and phone are switched on and within the network service area, and the Bluetooth connection between the phone and the headiset is active. When you press Options inthe Missed calls, Received calls and Dialled numbers menu, you can, for example, view the date andthetime of the call. Recent calls lists Saect Menu > Call register andone of the following: + Dialled numbers—to vien thelist of thelast 20 phone nurrbers that you have calledor atterptedto call. + Missed callsto iewthelist of the last ten phone nurrbers fromwhich somebody has tried to call you (network senice). Edit a name or a number To edit a name, sdect Menu >Contacts > Edit name. Scrall to the phone book entry you want to edit, and press Edit. To edit a nurrber, select Menu = Contacts Names. Scroll to the name you want, andseect Options > View details. Scroll to the number you want to edit, and sdlect Options >Edit number. To enter letters or nurrbers, see Write with thetext editor on page 18. You can play the voice tag to hear hawthe systempronouncesthe name of a contact. Sdect Options > Play voicetag. Delete names and numbers Sadect Menu > Contacts >Delete. + To ddete names and numbers one by one, select One by one, and scroll tothe name and nurrber you want to delete. Copy from the phone book of the mobile phone You can copy narres and phone numbers to the headset fromthe mobile phoneto whichit is connected! You can copy either the whole phone book or only selected rares and nurrbers. Oniythenameandthe first two phone numbers are copied to the headset's phone book All text iterrs and additional phone numbers are ignored. If your phone does not support File Transfer Profile or have the phone book download application, the headset must sendthe download application to the phone to enable copying, If you did not sendthe download application to the phone when you first connected the hendset, see Download application on page Al.

1. Sdect Menu >Contacts >Copy from phone.

If the head is not connected to a phone or the phone does not support this function, the Copy from phone menu is unavailable.

2. Sdect the source memory fromwhich you want to copy: theintemal memory

of the phone (Phone) orthe SIM card merrory (SIM card).

1f the phone does not support the Selected entries function, the menu itemis unavailable If you select Selected entries, the headset displaysthelist of all namesinthe source memory. Before you can create a connection to a compatible device, you must pair the device with your headset. If required bythe device, you rrust give the daice passcode to enable pairing. When you seethe device you want, press Stop, and sdect the device. If the device has not been previously paired with the headset andit requires a passcode, the headset requestsit. Enter the passcode for the deviceto activate the connection, To enter the nurbers, see Bluetooth passcode on page 7. + Active device to iew infomretion about the deviceto which the headset is currently connected! To endthe connection, select Options >Disconnect. + Paired devicesto view thelist of devices that have been paired with the headset. You can simultaneousiy have a maximumof 10 paired devices. To show or hidethetimeonthe display inthe standby mode, select Show clock or Hide clock. To adjust the dockto the correct time, slect Set the time.
