How does a condenser dryer work?

These dryers are a little more sophisticated than the evacuation dryers, the air is also heated by electrical heating elements, but after passing it through the drum (hot and humid air) the humidity is extracted by passing it through a cooled exchanger with the outside air, which causes the humidity to condense in it and fall into a water accumulation tray.

The evacuation dryers we have had up to now work with 100% outside air, which means that a lot of hot, humid air, and therefore energy, is discharged to the outside. In condenser dryers, this air, once dehumidified in the exchanger, is returned to the drum and, although it may be necessary to increase the temperature a few degrees, it is not the same as sucking in cold air from outside again, which saves energy compared to evacuation dryers.

Deodorisation and disinfection

These dryers use steam, which is even hotter than boiling water itself and acts as a disinfectant for the laundry. This is an excellent advantage if your clothes are exposed to bacteria.

Apart from bacteria, the steam also removes odours that have been left on your clothes due to wear and tear.

Wrinkle removal

If you are a busy person and don't have time to iron your clothes or simply don't feel like it, don't worry. With these dryers you only have to put your clothes inside for up to 20 minutes and the steam will make your shirts look fresh, new and wrinkle-free.

WARNING! Specifications for heat pump tumble dryers

1. These tumble dryers must operate in temperatures between 10^ and 25^ ambient temperature.
2. They are not designed for outdoor use.
3. The division of the fabrics prior to the drying process will define the drying result. If you wish to mix types of fabrics, you must operate the dryer in manual format.

Do you have problems with the drying of your laundry?

Here we explain how to solve the main questions that arise among users of these products that require special knowledge and extreme care in use. This dryer works by condensation. A temperature sensor will

detect the load of laundry and its humidity.

We have two TYPES OF FUNCTIONS:

• Synthetic

• Cotton

• When using the synthetic function, the garment material should also be synthetic.

• When using the cotton function, the garment material should also be cotton.

In this first point, we must take into account that the nominal load of the dryer must be wet. For example, 8KG of dry towels is not the same as 8KG of wet towels (where there will be much less towels if they are wet).

The humidity sensor is designed to work with this load, so in many occasions we will find:

• An inferior load of laundry.
• Clothes that are too small (underwear or small garments).

These parameters will not be detected by the sensor and it will "think" it is dry after a few minutes of work, leaving the clothes damp or without drying.

How do we solve this problem? By running the dryer by the minute and not by sensor.

To do this, select the programme for heating. After this, we select the time and increase it to:

• 60 minutes for light laundry.
  • 120 minutes for a medium load of 5KG.
  • 160 minutes for a 7KG load.

These dryers are a little more sophisticated, as they heat the air by means of electrical resistances, but after passing it through the drum (hot and humid air) they extract the humidity by passing it through an evaporator cooled by the outside air, which causes the humidity to condense in it and fall into a water collection tray.

In these dryers, the air, once dehumidified in the evaporator, is sent back to the drum so that it does not have to take in cold outside air again, saving energy compared to evacuation dryers.

Location

Before installing this Infiniton appliance, you must choose a location that meets the following requirements:

1. Rigid, dry and level surface

2. Avoid direct sunlight

3. Sufficient ventilation

4. The ambient temperature must be above 0°C

5. Keep the appliance away from any heat source (cookers, boilers, radiators, etc.).

6. Install the appliance in a clean place, where there is no accumulation of dirt. Do not obstruct the air inlets of the product.

WARNING! Stability is important to prevent the appliance from moving. Ensure that the product is level and stable. To ensure that the vibration and noise levels emitted by the appliance during operation are normal, the appliance should be placed on a firm and level surface.

Transport

Move the appliance with extreme care. Do not grip any protruding parts of the product. The door of the product must not be used as a carrying handle under any circumstances. If the appliance cannot be transported in an upright position, it can be tilted to the right less than 30^ .

Do not install the appliance in a room where there is a risk of frost. At temperatures close to freezing point, the product may not operate properly. There is a risk of damage if condensed water is allowed to freeze in the pump and hoses.

Levelling

Once you have positioned the appliance in its normal place of operation, make sure that it is completely level. To do this, you should use a spirit level. If the appliance is not completely level, you should adjust the legs according to the following figure:

1. Loosen the counter nut

Electrical connection

This appliance must be grounded for safety. The power cord of this appliance is equipped with a three-prong plug that fits into a standard three-prong outlet to minimize the possibility of electric shock. Do not, under any circumstances, cut or remove the third grounding prong from the supplied power cord.

When the drying programme is finished, a beep will sound and the display will show "0:00".

1. Open the door and take out the clothes.
2. Take out the tank.
3. Pour out the condensed water.
4. Clean the door filter.
5. Switch off.

Unpacking the appliance

1. Remove the cardboard box and the Styrofoam packaging.
2. Lift the washer and remove the packaging from the base.
3. Make sure to remove the small triangular foam (A) together with the bottom packaging. Otherwise, place the unit on a side surface and remove it manually.
4. Remove the tape securing the power cord and drain hose.
5. Remove the inlet hose from the drum.

Why Easy Play is essential?

Infiniton simplifies your life with our washing machines. These washing machines develop the best technology to make your life much easier.

Doing the laundry is no longer a chore. Make Easy Play and spend your time on the things that really matter. These washers not only take care of your most delicate clothes, they also protect everyday fabrics and textures.

Allow to stand for 2 hours after transport and before the first use, use a soft cloth to clean the inside of the drum.

Place some clean cloths in the drum.

Connect it to the power supply, press On / Off.

Select a programme and press Start / Pause button.

After finishing this programme, follow the "cleaning and care" instructions to clean the filter door.

During drying, the compressor and water will generate a noise which is completely normal.

1. Before drying, spin the laundry well in the washing machine. Centrifuging the laundry at high speed shortens the drying time and saves energy.
2. To obtain an even drying result, sort the laundry according to the type of fabric and select the appropriate drying programme.
3. Before drying, close zips, hooks, buttons, fabric belts, etc.
4. Remove all items from pockets, such as lighters and matches.
5. Sew or remove rings from zips.
6. Close duvet and pillow cases to prevent small items from rolling around inside.
7. Leave jackets open and undo long zips to allow textiles to dry evenly.
8. Do not over-dry clothes, as clothes that are too dry can easily wrinkle.
9. Do not dry garments containing rubber or similar elastic materials.
10. Keep the area around the dryer clean. Coal dust or flour may cause an explosion.
11. The door should only be opened after the end of the tumble dryer programme to avoid steam burns.
12. Clean the lint filter and empty the water container after each use to avoid prolonged drying time and increased energy consumption.
13. Do not dry the laundry after the dry-cleaning process.

Note

The rated capacity is the maximum capacity of laundry that can be dried at one time. Make sure that the laundry loaded in the product does not exceed the rated capacity.

Do not install the dryer in a room where there is a risk of frost. At temperatures close to freezing point, the dryer may not work properly.

There is a risk of damage if condensed water is allowed to freeze in the pump, hoses and/or condensed water container.

1 ON / OFF

3 OPTIONSThese buttons are configured to add special functions.

4 D SPLAYThe display shows the settings, estimated remaining programme time and status messages of your tumble dryer.

5 PROGRAMMESDifferent drying cycles can be selected according to the user's needs and the type of laundry to be dried.

Options for special functions

Programmed start

This function allows you to delay the start of the drying programme for up to 24 hours. When this programme is started, the time starts to decrease on the display and the programmed start icon flashes.

1. Load the laundry and make sure that the door of the dryer is closed.
2. Press the (On/Off) button and then use the programme selector knob to select the desired programme.
3. You can also select the (Wrinkle Control) or (Signal) function according to your needs.
4. Press the (Delay) button.
5. Press the (Delay) button repeatedly to select the desired delay time.
6. After pressing the (Start/Pause) button, the dryer is ready for operation. The drying procedure will be performed automatically when the delay time is over.
7. If you press the (Start/Pause) button again, the delay function will be paused.
8. If you want to cancel the function, press (On/Off) button.

Time

When (Warm) or (Cool) or (Refresh) programme is selected, you can use (Time) button to set the drying time in 10-minute intervals.

Intensity

You can adjust the drying level of the laundry by pressing the (Intensity) button.

There are four levels.

1. The Intensity function can only be activated before the programme starts.
2. Press the (Intensity) button repeatedly to increase the degree of drying.
3. Except for the programmes (Cotton), (Delicate), (Wool), (Hot), (Cold), (Cool), all other programmes can be set with the (Intensity) function.

Light

The drum light will be on for 3 minutes when the button is pressed and for 1 minute when the door is open.

Acoustic signal

Activates or deactivates the acoustic signal. By default, the signal is activated.

When the signal is activated:

1. The dryer will beep to indicate that the function button has been pressed.
2. If the programme button is turned while the dryer is running, the acoustic signal will remind the user that this is an invalid operation.
3. When the drying programme is finished, a beep will sound.

Anti-wrinkle

At the end of the drying cycle, the crease prevention time is 30 minutes (default) or 120 minutes (selected). This function prevents the laundry from creasing. Laundry can be removed during the crease prevention phase.

Except for (Cold), (Wool) and (Refresh), all other programmes have this function.

My Cycle

Used to define and save your favourite, most frequently used programme.

1. Select the desired programme and other drying functions.
2. Press and hold (Light) for 3 seconds until a beep sounds and the desired programme is saved.
3. Turn the programme selector to position (My Cycle) and you can start your favourite programme. If you want to change the setting (My Cycle), repeat steps (1) and (2).

Child Lock

1. This dryer is equipped with a special child safety lock, which can prevent children from inadvertently pressing the buttons or performing an incorrect operation.
2. When the drying cycle is running, press the (Anti-wrinkle) and (Signal) buttons at the same time for 3 seconds to start the child lock function.
3. When the child lock function is activated, the display will show the child lock icon and all buttons will be disabled except the (On/Off) button.

Programmes

Programme selector

1. When the LED display lights up, turn the programme selector to select the desired programme.
2. Select (Programmed Start), (Time), (Intensity), (Wrinkle Control) or (Lamp) functions for additional options.
3. Press the (Start/Pause) button.
4. Press the (On/Off) button when the programme is finished.

Starting the selected programme

Once the programme has started, the drum will rotate. The cycle phase LED on the display will light up and the remaining programme time will be shown.

End of selected programme

1. Once the programme has finished, the drum will stop rotating. The display will show "0:00", the cycle phase LED will show "End" and the corresponding LED will also light up. The dryer will start the (Anti-wrinkle) function if the user does not remove the load (See page 17).

Press the (On/Off) button after unloading the tumble dryer to turn off the power and unplug the tumble dryer.

1. Troubleshoot the problem according to the "Troubleshooting" section, if an unexpected stop occurs during the drying process or if the dryer displays an error code (See page 27).

NORMAL programme test according to Regulation 392/2012/EU for energy labelling, measured according to EN 61121 and suitable for normal load drying of cotton at nominal load capacity.

WARNING! Before cleaning, unplug the power plug first; do not connect or disconnect the power plug with wet hands, as there is a risk of electric shock and injury.

Do not spill water directly on the appliance, thus avoiding rust, electricity leakage and accidents.

Regular cleaning of this appliance helps to prolong its life.

External cleaning

Clean dust accumulated on the surface of the appliance frequently.

After using detergent, be sure to rinse it with clean water and then wipe it dry with a cloth.

Note: Never use metal scouring pads as this may damage painted, chrome and plastic surfaces.

WARNING! Do not use bristle brushes, wire brushes, detergent, soap powder, alkaline detergent, benzene, gasoline, acid, hot water and other corrosive or soluble elements to clean the surface of the appliance, door gasket, plastic decorative parts, etc. to avoid damage. Carefully dry the door gasket, clean the groove with a wooden stick wrapped with cotton thread.

Cleaning the door

Clean the glass and door gasket after each wash to remove possible lint and/or detergent/softener residues, as leaks may occur.

If any rust stains are found inside the drum, they should be removed with non-chlorine detergent.

Cleaning the water tank

Pull out and hold the water container with both hands.

Tilt the water container, pour the condensed water into the sink. Install the water container.

Note:

Empty the water container after each use. Once the water container is completely full, the programme will stop and the word "Ful" will appear on the display.

After emptying the container, the dryer can be restarted by pressing the Start / Pause button.

- Do not drink the condensed water.

- Do not use the dryer without the water container.

Cleaning the filters

This tumble dryer has a main lint filter in the door.

Be sure to clean the door filter after each cycle.

In order for the double-layer filter to close smoothly, it is necessary to align the arrows at both ends, as well as the centre slot and the side slot.

1. Open the door.

2. Remove the door filter.

3. Open the filter and remove the lint from the filter, you can clean it under running water.

4. Dry the door filter thoroughly before reinstalling it.

Let the dryer cool down.

Some water may come out, place a cloth or absorbent paper.

1. Open the cover and the lid on the bottom of the tumble dryer.
2. Leave the cover fully open.
3. Insert the two locking levers.
4. Put the air condenser into water.
5. Clean the air condenser thoroughly and drain it well.
6. Clean and dry the gaskets.
7. Reinsert it.
8. Loosen the two locking levers.
9. Close the bottom cover until it clicks into position.

- Clean only with lukewarm water; do not use hard or sharp-edged objects in the dryer without the air condenser!

- During drying, water may accumulate between the groove and the gasket, but this does not affect the operation of the dryer.

Drum cleaning

• Disconnect the power cord before cleaning.
• Clean the dryer with a damp cloth that is moistened with clean water only.
• Do not use solvents, abrasive cleaners, glass cleaners or all-purpose cleaners. They may damage plastic surfaces and other parts.
  • Use gloves for cleaning.

• Prepare a damp cloth dampened with clean water.
- Clean the door, especially the inner window.
- Clean the seal around the door opening.
- Clean the humidity sensor inside the drum.
- Remove all filters, clean the seal and air flow openings.
• Before starting the dryer, dry all parts with a soft cloth.

Troubleshooting

Whenever there is a problem with the appliance, check if you can solve it by following the tables below. If the problem persists, contact customer service.

- Disconnect the mains plug from the mains and call for service.

Many faults and malfunctions that can occur in daily operation can be easily remedied. You will save time and money because there is no need to call a service technician.
