Safety instructions for rechargeable batteries
WANGER! TO LIFE!
Rechargeable batteries are not intended to be in the hands of children. Do not leave batteries lying around. They may otherwise be swallowed by children or pets. If accidentally swallowed seek immediate medical attention.
EXPLOSION HAZARD! Never short-circuit and/or open rechargeable batteries. The battery may overheat, ignite or explode. Never throw rechargeable batteries into fire or water. The batteries could explode.
■ Regularly check rechargeable batteries for leaks.
■ Skin contact with leaking or damaged rechargeable batteries could cause chemical burns; in this case therefore always wear suitable safety gloves!
- When inserting the battery ensure the correct polarity! The correct polarity is shown inside the battery compartment. The rechargeable batteries could otherwise explode.
■ Regularly check rechargeable batteries for leaks.
■ Skin contact with leaking or damaged rechargeable batteries could cause chemical burns; in this case therefore always wear suitable safety gloves!

Assembly
- Select a suitable place for installation
Ensure that
- the motion detector will not be functionally inhibited at the desired place of installation due to obstacles or constantly moving objects.
- the motion detector is not installed where there are strong temperature fluctuations, e.g. due to heating devices or air conditioners.
- Mounting the light
☐ Secure the light to a stable and solid surface according to the instructions in figures A–C.
Initialuse
Note: the rechargeable batteries are always factory installed.
☐ To achieve a long battery life, fully charge the rechargeable batteries in OFF mode (approx. 2 days).
☐ Then fully discharge the rechargeable batteries, preferably in ON mode.
☐ Repeat this process once or twice.
☐ If the product has not been used for more than 6 months please repeat this process.
Use
☐ The light features three settings (see Figure D):
OFF: light always off
AUTO: Light always on (ECO mode)
PIR: Motion detector controls the light
In „PIR“ the light will switch on if the surroundings are very dimly lit and motion is detected (infrared sensor). The light will automatically switch off after 90 seconds if motion is no longer detected.
Attention: a light sensor is located inside the solar panel. The panel must therefore be mounted far away from artificial light sources.
●Troubleshooting
☐ This product contains delicate electronic components. This means that if it is placed near an object that transmits radio signals, it could cause interference. This could be, for example, mobile telephones, walkie talkies, CB radios, remote controls and microwaves. If interference occurs, move such objects away from the appliance.
Electrostatic discharges can lead to malfunctions. In the event of such malfunctions briefly remove and reinsert the rechargeable batteries.
- Cleaning and Care
■ Never use cleaners or a rough cloth. These could dame the motion sensor 3.
□ Clean the product with a dry, lint-free cloth.
●Disposal

The packaging is made of environmentally friendly materials, which may be disposed through your local recycling facilities.
Do not dispose of used and / or defective bulbs with household waste! Dispose of these items in a collection centre provided by your local council.

Do not dispose of electrical equipment in the household waste!
In accordance with European Directive 2002 / 96 / EC relating to old electrical and electronic appliances and its translation into national law, used electrical equipment must be collected separately and recycled in an ecologically compatible way.
If you wish to part with the product, please dispose of it in accordance with the regulations applicable at such time. Advice is available from your local council.

Environmental damage through incorrect disposal of the rechargeable batteries!
Rechargeable batteries may not be disposed of with the usual domestic waste. They may contain toxic heavy metals and are subject to hazardous waste regulations. The chemical symbols of the heavy metals are: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead. For this reason, dispose of used rechargeable batteries at a local collection point.
● Warranty and Service
This product has a 3 year guarantee from the date of purchase extended only to the original buyer, not transferable. Please keep your receipt as proof of purchase. The guarantee applies to material or manufacturing defects only. It does not cover wear items or damage caused by improper use. Any modifications will void the guarantee. This warranty does not limit your legal rights. In the event of a warranty claim, please contact the service centre. This is the only way to return your product free of charge.
Serviceaddress
Please contact us before returning the defective product. We will gladly also call you back! The guarantee will only be honoured if the defective device is accompanied by a copy of the receipt. We cannot accept parcels sent carriage forward, please request a return label.
