You have chosen a high quality product. These operating instructions form a part of this product. They contain important information on safety, use and disposal. Make yourself familiar with all the operating instructions and safety advice for the product before use. Use the product only as described and for the indicated purpose. If you pass the product on to anyone else, please ensure that you also pass on all the documentation with it. Check that the correct mains voltage is available and that all the parts have been properly assembled before bringing into use.

Never leave children unsupervised with the packaging materials. Packaging materials present a suffocation hazard.

Children often underestimate danger. Always keep the product out of reach of children.

To avoid danger to life from electric shock

Before connecting the lamp to the mains, always check it and the mains lead 4 with plug 5 for any damage. Never use your lamp if you discover that it is damaged in any way.

If the external flexible lead of this lamp becomes damaged, avoid danger and have it replaced by the manufacturer, his servicing agent or an equivalent electrical appliance repair specialist.

CAUTION! A damaged mains lead presents a serious danger to life from electric shock. In the event of damage, repairs or other problems with the lamp, please contact the Service Centre or an electrician.

■ Never let the lamp come into contact with water or other liquids.
- Never open any electrical devices such as switches, fittings etc. or allow any object to be inserted into them. This sort of interference can lead to a serious danger to life from electric shock.
■ Only touch the insulated part of the plug when connecting to or disconnecting from power!
This light is not suitable for dimmer or electronic

switches.

The illuminant in this light is not replaceable; if the illuminant reaches the end of its life, replace the entire light.
Before installation ensure that the available mains voltage agrees with the operating voltage required for the lamp (230–240 V \~).

To avoid danger of fire and injury

⚠️DANGER OF INJURY! Do not look directly into the light source (light bulb, LED etc.).

DANGER OF BURNS! Ensure the lamp has been switched off and allowed to cool before you touch it. In this way you will avoid the danger of burns. Light bulbs develop a great deal of heat.

Do not allow any objects to cover the lamp. Fire can result from the development of too much heat.
■ Position the lamp so that it is protected from moisture and dirt.
■ Never leave the lamp operating unattended.
This lamp is not suitable as a night light.

Operation

• Using the lamp

□ Completely unwrap the power cord 4.
□ Connect the power cord 4 to the light.
☐ Insert the mains plug 5 into the mains socket.
□ Adjust the desired height of the lamp head 1 with the telescopic arm 2.
□ Adjust the desired position of the lamp head 1.
☐ Press the ON/OFF switch 3 to switch the light on.
☐ Press the ON/OFF switch 3 to switch the light off.

CAUTION! DANGER TO LIFE FROM ELECTRIC SHOCK!

Before cleaning, always pull out the mains plug 5 out of the socket.

• Do not use solvents such as petrol and the like as they could damage the lamp.
  ☐ For electrical safety reasons, never clean the lamp with water or other fluids or immerse it in water. Use a dry, fluff-free cloth for cleaning.
  ☐ The lamp is maintenance-free.

- Disposal

The packaging consists entirely of environmentally friendly materials. They can be disposed of at your local recycling facility.

The symbol of the wheelie bin with a cross through It means that, in the European Union, the product has to be disposed of in a separate refuse collection. This applies to the product and to all components bearing this symbol. Products marked in this way may not be disposed of with normal domestic waste but have to be handed in at a recycling collection point for electrical and electronic appliances. Recycling helps to reduce the consumption of raw materials and to ease the burden on the environment.

WarrantyDeclaration

A 36 month warranty is extended for this appliance at the time of purchase. The appliance has been manufactured with care under strict quality control. During the warranty period any defects in material or manufacture will be replaced free of charge. In the event of a defect during the warranty period, please send the appliance to the service address listed, indicating the following item number: 7317-012L / 7317-014L/7317-015L/7317-016L.

Expendable parts (such as bulbs) and damage caused by improper handling, failure to observe the instructions for use or modification by unauthorised persons are excluded from the warranty. The performance of services under the warranty does not extend or renew the warranty period.
