Frequently Asked Questions - HDMC9800L/1W HOOVER

How to install the Hoover HDMC9800L/1W hood?
Installation must be carried out by a qualified professional. Ensure that the exhaust duct is suitable (diameter 150 mm) and that the minimum distance between the hood and the hob is respected (65 cm for an electric hob, 75 cm for a gas hob). Fix the wall bracket with wall plugs suitable for the wall.
How to clean the grease filter?
The metal grease filter can be cleaned in the dishwasher or by hand with a non-abrasive sponge and detergent. It is recommended to clean it every month for optimal efficiency. Replace it completely dry.
When to replace the carbon filter?
The activated carbon filter must be replaced every 3 to 6 months depending on usage. It is not washable. A saturation indicator may be present on some models. Replace it more frequently with heavy use.
Why is my hood noisy?
Abnormal noise can come from a dirty grease filter, poor wall mounting, or a blocked exhaust duct. Check that the hood is level and that the filters are clean. If the noise persists, contact customer service.
How to adjust the suction speed?
Use the touch controls: press the desired speed button (usually 3 speeds). The 'Boost' or 'Intensive' button activates maximum power for a few minutes before returning to the previous speed.
What to do if the hood does not suck properly?
First check that the grease filter is not clogged and that the exhaust duct is not blocked. Make sure the hood is installed at the correct height. If using recirculation mode, replace the carbon filter. If the problem persists, contact a technician.
Can I use the hood in recirculation mode?
Yes, the hood can operate in recirculation mode, provided that an activated carbon filter (sold separately) is installed. In this mode, the air is filtered and returned to the kitchen. Remember to change the carbon filter regularly.
What is the power consumption of the hood?
The motor power is 220 W and the LED lighting is 3 W. Under normal use, consumption is about 0.22 kWh per hour at full power. The hood is rated A+ for energy efficiency.
Is the hood supplied with a remote control?
