How to fix the suction cup vise to a table?

Place the vise on a smooth, stable and clean surface. Turn the suction cup lever counterclockwise to the stop to secure the suction cup. To release, turn clockwise.

Can I use the vise with a drill or grinder?

No, it is prohibited to use the vise with a hand-guided power tool due to the risk of slipping or loosening of the workpiece, which can cause serious injury.

How to orient the vise?

Turn the vise to the desired position, then secure the ball joint using the locking handle of the ball joint (number 8).

How to clamp and release a part?

To open the jaws, turn the locking handle of the jaws (number 3) counterclockwise. Place the workpiece, then tighten by turning clockwise. To release, turn counterclockwise.

What is the material of the vise?

The vise is made of die-cast aluminum, which gives it good rigidity but limited impact resistance.

How to maintain the vise?

Safety advice

KEEP ALL THE SAFETY ADVICE AND INSTRUCTIONS IN A SAFE PLACE FOR FUTURE REFERENCE!

CAUTION! DANGER OF INJURY! When working with hand-held electrical power tools you can be seriously injured if the clamped workpiece slips or becomes loose. Never work on a clamped workpiece using hand-held electrical power tools.

• Check the product before each use for any damage. Do not use the product if you discover it is damaged in any way.
• Check all threaded connections on the product for proper seating before each use.
• Check regularly the lever suction pad for proper seating and retighten if necessary.
• Attach the vice to a smooth, stable, flat, undamaged surface, free of dust and grease.
• The vice is an aluminium injection casting and therefore is only impact resistant to limited extent.
• Do not use extension tubes on the tommy bars. There is the danger of overloading (fracturing) the spindle.
  ■ Wear safety gloves and glasses.

● Fixing in place

1. Place the vacuum base vice down on to a suitable flat, smooth surface.
2. Turn the suction pad lever 5 anticlockwise as far as it will go to fix the suction pad 7 in place.

Note: If you fix the suction foot 7 in place directly at the edge of the bench, you will be able to clamp long workpieces vertically to work on their ends.

☐ Turn the suction pad lever 5 clockwise to release the suction pad 7.

Use

- Clamping and releasing a workpiece

1. Turn the vice into the desired position and fix the ball joint 6 in position with the ball joint tommy bar 8.
2. To open the jaws 2 turn the vice jaws tommy bar 3 anticlockwise.
3. Place the workpiece between the jaws 2 and clamp it by turning the vice jaws tommy bar 3 clockwise. Ensure that the workpiece is tightly clamped.

☐ You can now work on the workpiece.

□ After completing work on the workpiece, release it by turning the vice jaws tommy bar 3 anticlockwise.

- Cleaning and care

□ Clean the product with a dry, fluff-free cloth.
□ Never use aggressive or corrosive cleaning agents, as they may damage the product.
