Frequently Asked Questions - Speed Iron V2 Klarstein

How to fill the water tank?
Unplug the appliance and open the tank cap. Pour tap or distilled water up to the MAX level. Do not exceed the capacity.
How to use the steam function?
Make sure the tank is filled. Set the steam dial to the desired level. When the iron heats up, steam is produced continuously.
Why is my iron not producing steam?
Check the water level in the tank. If the tank is empty, fill it. Also make sure the steam dial is not on the minimum position.
How to descale the iron?
Use the self-cleaning function: fill the tank to 3/4, plug in the iron, set it to maximum, then press the self-cleaning button. Then rinse with clean water.
What is the anti-drip function?
The anti-drip function prevents water drops from staining laundry when the temperature is too low to produce steam.
How does the automatic shut-off work?
If the iron remains still horizontally for 30 seconds or vertically for 8 minutes, it turns off automatically for safety reasons.
Can I use tap water?
Yes, but to avoid scale buildup, it is recommended to use distilled water or demineralized water, especially in hard water areas.
How to maintain the ceramic soleplate?
Let the soleplate cool down, then wipe it with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive products to avoid scratching the ceramic coating.
What to do if the iron does not heat up?
Check that the plug is properly inserted and that the thermostat is set to a sufficient temperature. If the problem persists, contact customer service.
How to store the iron after use?
Unplug the appliance and empty the tank. Wrap the cord around the heel, then store the iron in an upright position on a stable surface.
