How to clean the cooker properly?

The plate turns off and on during cooking, is this normal?

Safety Instructions

• Read all the safety and operating instructions carefully and retain them for future reference.

CORRECT USE OF ELECTRICITY

• Use of an extension cord is not recommended as it may overheat and cause risk of fire. However, if an extension cord is used, the marked electrical rating of the extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance, and the long cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over.
• To prevent overloading and blowing fuses, ensure that no other high power appliance is plugged into the same socket, or another socket which is connected in the same circuit.
• DO NOT PUT the cord under the carpet, blankets. Always keep the power cable away from walkway in room. DO NOT TRY TO REPAIR the broken fuse by yourself, the user should take the set to your local authorized maintenance center to replace it with the new one.
• The appliance is indoor use only.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
• The surfaces are liable to get hot during use

• When the appliance is not in use and before cleaning, unplug the appliance from the outlet.

SAFETY IN OPERATION

• DO NOT OPERATE this hot plate near water sources or flammable liquids.
• DO NOT OPERATE this hot plate on or near any hot surface. (Hot plate, electric stoves etc).
• Always operate this from an earthed domestic 220V-240 \~ 50/60 Hz power socket.
• Ensure the hot place is placed on a stable, secure surface to eliminate the possibility of tipping over or avoid any water in the appliance.
• Never try to touch the hot surface of this hot plate before it is cooled down.

Before first Use

• Clean the hot plate with a soft damp cloth. Place your hot plate on the level and stable surface near the electrical socket. Check that the voltage marked on the product corresponds with your supply voltage. Ensure the controller is in the "OFF" position before plug in.
• Always use flat bottom saucepans or containers that make close contact with the heating element. Ideally, the saucepans or containers should be 180-200mm in diameter. Keep the surface of the heating element clean and dry.
• Close supervision is extremely necessary when this hot plate is used by or near children.

Getting Started

• Put water and/or food in the container (The total amount of water and /or food should not exceed 80% of the container to avoid overflowing), put a lid on the container and place it on the hot plate. If there is smoke for the first use, that is normal. To make the unit heat without any pot about 10 Minutes before cooking.
• Connecting to the power supply socket. Turn the switch from "OFF" TO "MAX" position and the indicator light is on for working, the hot plate is in a state of heating.
• Two points to be reminded by the user when using the new hot plate:
• When using this hot plate for the first time, there may be a smell of smoke coming from the surface of the heating element. This is normal because of the invisible protective coating in production.
• Before the water is boiling, the indicator light on the hot plate may be temporary off due to the temporary disconnection of the thermostatic control.
• This is a safety issue for the working on the hot plate.
• When you have finished using the hot plate, turn the switch to "OFF" position and unplug it from the socket. Wait until the appliance is completely cooled down before moving or cleaning.

Cleaning and Care

• Make sure the plug is removed from the power supply socket.
• After the hot plate set is completely cooled down, clean it with the mild cleaner or gel-like cleaner by using soft cloth.
• PLEASE DO NOT CLEAN THE SET WHEN IT IS STILL HOT.
• DO NOT USE hard brushes, scratchy materials and/or alcohol, petrol or any organic cleaner for the cleaning purpose.
• Except the removable frying pan, do not immerse the main body in water to clean.
• Put the hot plate on the cool place right after the cleaning.
