Frequently Asked Questions - 007341 Meec Tools

How do I start the compressor?
Ensure the power switch is in the ON position and the air tank is relieved of pressure. Check the oil level and that the safety valve works. Connect the air hose, then pull out the power switch to start. The motor stops automatically when set pressure is reached.
How do I set the working pressure?
Turn the adjuster knob on the pressure regulator clockwise to increase pressure, counterclockwise to decrease. The set pressure is shown on the output pressure gauge. Never exceed the maximum working pressure of your equipment (10 bar).
What type of oil should I use and how often should I change it?
Use standard compressor oil (sold separately). The oil capacity is 0.35 L. Change the oil after the first 50 hours of use, then every 200 hours or every 3 months. Check the oil level before each use.
How do I drain condensation from the tank?
After use, relieve the pressure in the tank. Tilt the compressor to access the drain plug underneath. Carefully loosen the plug, let any liquid drain out, then retighten firmly. In freezing temperatures, do not fully tighten the plug.
What should I do if the compressor overheats or shuts off automatically?
The compressor has overheating protection that shuts it off automatically. Allow the product to cool for a few minutes, then press the power switch to restart. Ensure adequate ventilation and do not block air intakes.
How do I connect and disconnect the air hose?
To connect: press the hose coupling into the quick-coupling until it clicks. To disconnect: push the coupling further in, slide back the sleeve, and pull out the hose. Always switch off and unplug the compressor before changing hoses.
What safety precautions should I take when using the compressor?
Always wear safety glasses and ear protection. Do not direct air at people. Keep the work area clean and away from flammable materials. Use the compressor in a dry, well-ventilated area. Never touch hot surfaces (risk of burns).
The motor won't start. What could be wrong?
Check that the power switch is on, the mains voltage matches the rating, fuses haven't tripped, and extension cord is sufficient. Also ensure ambient temperature is not too low. If the problem persists, contact a service center.
How do I clean or replace the air filter?
Check the air filter every 3 months. Allow the compressor to cool, remove the filter cover, clean with dry air or replace if necessary, then replace the cover.
Can I use an extension cord with this compressor?
Yes, but only use extension cords designed for outdoor use with adequate cross-sectional area. Ensure the cord is not damaged and avoid length that could cause voltage drop. Always follow the manufacturer's recommendations.
