Safety
Intended use
The spiralizer is intended exclusively for the production of continuous strips or sliced spirals from solid fruit (e.g. apples, pears, etc.) and vegetables (such as carrots, courgettes, potatoes, cucumbers, etc.).
It is not suitable for chopping or crushing ice cubes, dry and hard foods (e.g. nuts, coffee beans, etc).
The spiralizer is designed for use in private households and is not designed for commercial use or multiple use (e.g. use by several parties in a block of flats).
Use the spiralizer only as described in this user manual. Any other use is deemed improper and may result in damage to property or even personal injury.
The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage caused by improper use.

Safety instructions
In this chapter you will find general safety instructions which you must always observe for your own protection and that of third parties. Please also observe the warning notices in the individual chapters on operation, cleaning, etc.

WARNING
Risk of electric shock!
Touching live parts may result in severe injury or death.
■ Check the appliance and the power supply cable regularly for damage.
■ If the housing or the power cord is damaged, the appliance is dropped or leaking or if there is other visible damage, do not start the appliance. In such a case, please contact our customer service (see page GB-15).
■ Only use the appliance indoors and never operate it in damp rooms or expose it to rain.
■ Never repair a defective or suspected defective appli-
ance yourself. You can put your own and future users' lives in danger. Only authorised specialists are allowed to carry out this repair work.
■ Always connect the appliance to an easily accessible socket, so that you can quickly unplug the mains plug in an emergency.
■ Do not operate the appliance with an external timer or a separate remote control system.
■ Do not let the power cord hang down to prevent children or pets from pulling on or getting caught in it.
■ Place the power cord in such a way that it cannot be reached or damaged by either children or pets.
■ To avoid hazards, have a damaged power cord replaced only by the manufacturer, the after-sales service or a similarly qualified person.
■ If the appliance is giving off smoke, a burning smell or making unusual noises, immediately switch off the
appliance and unplug the mains plug. Do not start the appliance after that.
■ Never open the housing.
■ The appliance may only be repaired by an authorised specialist company. Only parts corresponding to the original appliance specifications may be used. This appliance contains electrical and mechanical parts which are essential for protection against potential sources of danger.
■ Do not immerse the appliance itself, the power cord or the mains plug in water. Do not allow any liquid to enter into the housing.
■ Never store the appliance in such a way that it can fall into a bathtub or sink.
■ Never touch an electrical appliance if it has fallen into water. In such a case, immediately unplug the mains plug from the socket.
■ Never touch the mains plug with wet hands.
■ Keep the appliance, the mains plug and the power
cord away from hot surfaces and open flames.
■ Always pull the mains plug out of the socket,
– when the appliance is not in use,
– before cleaning,
- if a malfunction occurs,
- if there is a storm with thunder and lightning.
■ Never use the power cord as a carrying strap.
■ Do not use a steam cleaner or high-pressure cleaner to clean the appliance.
Risk of suffocation!
Children can become entangled when playing in the packaging film and suffocate.
■ Ensure that the packaging film remains out of the reach of children.

CAUTION

Danger to children and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities (for example, people with disabilities to some extent, older persons with impaired physical and mental abilities) or who lack experience and knowledge (for example older children).
■ This appliance can be used by children aged eight years and above and by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental abilities, or who lack experience and knowledge, if they are supervised or have been instructed in the safe use of the appliance and understand the dangers associated with its use.
■ Children must not be allowed to play with the appliance.
■ Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by children.
The blades of the spiralizer are sharp.
■ Be careful when handling blade inserts.
■ Unplug the mains plug before assembling and disassembling the appliance, before cleaning and when the appliance is left unattended.
■ In all cases, work with the pusher supplied. Do not use any other aids to press the food into the filler neck.
■ Never grasp into the filler neck.
! NOTICE
Risk of damage!
■ Do not use solvent-based, corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents (e.g. pan scourers or similar). These can scratch the surfaces.
■ Only use the spiralizer if it is standing on an easily accessible, level, dry and sufficiently stable work surface.
■ Do not use the spiralizer any more if the plastic is torn, cracked or deformed. Only use appropriate original spare parts to replace damaged parts.
■ Slip-resistant plastic feet are located on the underside of the collecting container. Furniture panels/surfaces treated with certain care products can attack and soften the plastic feet. If necessary, place a non-slip pad underneath the appliance.

CAUTION
Risk of injury!
The blades in the cutting inserts are sharp.
■ Be careful when unpacking and do not grasp into the cutting inserts.
- Unpack all parts and check them for transport damage.
- If anything is missing or damaged, contact our service centre (see page GB-15).
WARNING!
Risk of electric shock!
Never use a damaged appli- ance.
Cleaning before use
Before first use, wash all parts of the spiralizer, except the motor unit, (4) with conventional washing liquid or place them in the dishwasher.
Assembling the spiralizer

- Place the motor unit (4) on the collecting container (5).
Cutting inserts
These cutting inserts are suitable for the following products:


- Select the desired cutter insert (3) and insert it into the opening of the motor unit.

- Place the filler neck (2) onto the motor unit and turn it towards the closed lock symbol → 🔒. It must click audibly into place.

Operation

CAUTION
Risk of injury!
The blades in the cutting inserts are sharp.
■ In all cases, work with the pusher supplied. Do not use any other aids to press the food into the filler neck.
■ Never grasp into the filler neck.

NOTICE
Risk of damage!
The spiralizer is designed for short-term operation of up to 30 seconds.
■ Allow the appliance to cool down for at least one minute after this time.
Which foods are suitable?
Solid fruits and vegetables such as:
- Apples
- Pears
- Carrots
- Courgettes
- Potatoes
- Cucumbers
The food to be processed must be within the following dimensions:
– Diameter: 30–60 mm
- Length: 60–125 mm
If necessary, cut the food to these dimensions.
Operation
Requirements:
- You have read and understood all the safety instructions.
- You have inserted the desired cutting insert.
- You have assembled the appliance as described above.

- If you have not already done so, press the pusher (1) together.
- Place the food on the spikes on the underside of the pusher.
- Now insert the pusher with the food into the filler neck.

Depending on the cutting insert, noodles or spiral slices are now produced and collected in the collecting container.

Cleaning

CAUTION
Risk of injury!
The blades in the cutting inserts are sharp.
■ Unplug the mains plug before cleaning.
■ Be careful when cleaning.
Risk of short circuit!
A short circuit may by caused by water entering into the housing.
■ Never immerse the motor unit (4) in water.
■ When cleaning, make sure that no water reaches the motor unit.

NOTICE
Risk of damage!
Incorrect cleaning agents can damage surfaces.
■ Do not use solvent-based, corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents (e.g. pan scourers or similar).
The appliance must be cleaned after each use. Acidic foods or fruit can discolour the plastic. These discolourations do not constitute damage.
- Unplug the mains plug before cleaning at all costs.
- Only use a slightly moistened cloth to wipe the motor unit (4).
- All other parts can be washed as usual or cleaned in the dishwasher.
Troubleshooting table
Malfunctions can occur in all electrical appliances. This does not necessarily mean there is a defect in the appliance. For this reason, please check the tables to see if you can correct the malfunction.
