Please read the following instructions carefully to avoid malfunctions, damage and injuries:

Pure electrical circuit lines without any symbolsBefore using for the first time
- Familiarize yourself with the unit before using for the first time. Observe the safety instructions and only use the unit in compliance with these operating instructions.
- Remove all packaging compo
- Clean the unit, as describe
Inserting batteries and filling
- Hold the container (5) with one hand and turn the housing cover (8) counter clockwise with the other hand. Pull the cover upright to remove it from the container.
- Pull the drive unit (3) and the transparent battery cover upright.
- Insert 4 fresh batteries of the type LR6 (AA) into the battery compartment (2). Observe the right polarity. The battery polarity symbols are shown in the battery compartment.
- Fill the container up to approx. 80 % with pepper or salt through the filling hole (4).
- First, place the transparent battery cover on the drive unit and then place the drive unit with the included batteries in the container. Make sure the connecting wires are directed above the screws on the container. Press the drive unit firmly on the container.
- Put the housing cover over the drive unit. Turn the housing cover clockwise and tighten the container.

- Press and hold the ON/OFF and to switch on the built-in LED (6).
- You can set the required grinding size by turning the screw (7):
clockwise = finer;
counter clockwise = coarser.
- If the grinding unit does not to select a coarser setting. If the grinding unit still does not turn, it may be blocked. Select the coarsest setting and shake the pepper mill back and forth until the grinding unit operates again.
- If the grinding unit fails to turns very slowly, the batteries are flat. In this case, replace the 4 batteries with a complete new set. Do not mix rechargeable batteries with ordinary batteries or new ones with flat batteries.
Cleaning
- Preferably, clean the container immediately before you intend to fill it with new pepper or salt. Shake the container empty first and remove any residue with a small, non-food contaminating brush. Do not wash the container with water or any other liquid.
- Only use a lightly moistened cloth to clean the outside housing.
- Do not immerse the pepper
