Warnings
- Proper conguraon of all passwords and other security sengs is the responsibility of the installer and/or end-user.
- In the use of the product, you must be in strict compliance with the electrical safety regulaons of the naon and region. Please refer to technical specicaons for detailed informaon.
- Input voltage should meet both the SELV (Safety Extra Low Voltage) and the Limited Power Source with 24 VAC or 12 VDC
according to the IEC60950-1 standard. Please refer to technical specicaons for detailed informaon.
- Do not connect several devices to one power adapter as adapter overload may cause over-heang or a re hazard.
- Please make sure that the plug is rmly connected to the power socket. When the product is mounted on wall or ceiling, the device shall be rmly xed.
- If smoke, odor or noise rise from the device, turn o the power at once and unplug the power cable, and then please contact the service center.

Cauons
- Make sure the power supply voltage is correct before using the camera.
- Do not drop the camera or subject it to physical shock.
- Do not touch sensor modules with ngers. If cleaning is necessary, use clean cloth with a bit of ethanol and wipe it gently. If the camera will not be used for an extended period, please replace the lens cap to protect the sensor from dirt.
- Do not aim the camera at the sun or extra bright places. Blooming or smearing may occur otherwise (which is not a malfuncon), and aect the endurance of sensor at the same me.

The sensor may be burned out by a laser beam, so when any laser equipment is in using, make sure that the surface of sensor will not be exposed to the laser beam.

Do not place the camera in extremely hot, cold (the operang temperature shall be -30^ to +60^ , or -40^ to +60^ if the camera model has an "H" in its sux), dusty or damp locaons, and do not expose it to high electromagnec radiaon.
- To avoid heat accumulaon, good venlaon is required for operang environment.
- Keep the camera away from liquid while in use.
- While in delivery, the camera shall be packed in its original packing, or packing of the same texture.
- Regular part replacement: a few parts (e.g. electrolyc capacitor) of the equipment shall be replaced regularly according to their average enduring me. The average me varies because of dierences between operang environment and using history, so regular checking is recommended for all the users. Please contact with your dealer for more details.
- Improper use or replacement of the baery may result in hazard of explosion. Replace with the same or equivalent type only. Dispose of used baeries according to the instrucons provided by the baery manufacturer.
- If the product does not work properly, please contact your dealer or the nearest service center. Never aempt to disassemble the camera yourself. (We shall not assume any responsibility for problems caused by unauthorized repair or maintenance.)

1 Appearance Descripon
This series of camera has dierent models. Some models have the lens that zoom and focus levels must be manually adjusted via zoom/focus lever and some models have a motor-driven lens that zoom and focus adjustment can be completed via web browser or client soware. Please refer to the actual device.
Type I Camera 1.1

2 Installaon
Before you start:
- Make sure the device in the package is in good condition and all the assembly parts are included.
- The standard power supply is 12 VDC or PoE (802.3af). Make sure your power supply matches with your camera.
- Make sure all the related equipment is power-o during the installaon.
- Check the specicaon of the products for the installaon environment.
- Make sure that the wall is strong enough to withstand four mes the weight of the camera and the mount.
For the camera that supports IR, you are required to pay aenon to the following precautions to prevent IR reecon:
- Dust or grease on the dome cover will cause IR reecon.
Please do not remove the dome cover lm unl the installaon is nished. If there is dust or grease on the dome cover, clean the dome cover with clean so cloth and isopropyl alcohol. - Make sure that there is no reecve surface too close to the camera lens. The IR light from the camera may react back into the lens causing reecon.
- The foam ring around the lens must be seated ush against the inner surface of the bubble to isolate the lens from the IR LEDS. Fasten the dome cover to camera body so that the foam ring and the dome cover are aached seamlessly.
Preparaon 2.1
Purpose:
Before mounng, you have to disassemble the camera and install the memory card rst.
2.1.1 Disassembling
Steps:
- Loosen the three screws on the edge of the bubble with the screw driver.
- Li and put aside the bubble.
- Remove the inner black liner.

2.1.2 Memory Card Installaon
Steps:

Rotate the camera body to completely expose the memory card slot.

Insert the memory card into the memory card slot, and push to get it mounted.

- (Oponal) To unmount the memory card, push to eject it.
Mounng 2.2
2.2.1 Ceiling Mounng
Steps:
-
Paste the drill template (supplied) to the place where you want to install the camera.
-
Drill three screw holes and cable hole (oponal) in the ceiling according to the drill template.

Note:
If you need to route cables through the ceiling, dill a cable hole according to the drill template. Skip this step if you want to route the cables on the surface of the ceiling.
- Route the cables of the camera.
- Align the holes of the back box with the drilled screw holes on the ceiling. And secure the camera with the supplied screws.

Note:
- The supplied screw package contains self-tapping screws, and expansion bolts.

For cement ceiling, use expansion bolts to secure the camera. For wooden ceiling, use self-tapping screws

Connect the corresponding cables, such as power cord and network cable.

Power on the camera, and set the network conguraon (for details, refer to 3 Set the Network Camera over the LAN and 4 Access via Web Browser) to check whether the image is goen from the opmum angle. If not, adjust the surveillance angle (for details, refer to 2.3.1 3-Axis Adjustment).

Install the inner black liner back to the camera.
- Install the bubble back to the camera and secure it with screws.

2.2.2 Conduit Installation on the Side
If you want to route the cables from side of the camera, you need to install a conduit for cable round.
Steps:
- Rotate the waterproof plug counterclockwise to remove it from the camera.

Before you start:
Connect the camera to a monitor with supplied auxiliary video output cable, and power on the camera.

Note:
For certain camera models, the auxiliary video cable is not included in the package. Instead, you can connect the video out interface of the camera to a monitor for image and focus adjustment.

2.3.1 3-Axis Adjustment
Steps:
- View the camera image by using the monitor.
- Loosen the lt adjusng screw to adjust the lt angle [0° to 70°], hold the black liner to adjust the pan angle [0° to 355°], and hold the lens to rotate the camera [0° to 355°].

2.3.2 Zoom and Focus Adjustment
Manually Adjustment:
Some camera models of this series have the lens that zoom and focus levels must be manually adjusted via zoom/focus lever and you can use zoom lever and focus lever to adjust the lens.
Steps:

View the camera image by using the monitor.
-
Loosen the zoom lever and move the lever between T (Tele) and W (Wide) to obtain the appropriate angle of view.

- Tighten the zoom lever.
- Loosen the focus lever and move the lever between F (Far) and N (Near) to obtain the opmum focus.
- Tighten the focus lever.
Motor-driven Lens:
Some camera models of this series are equipped with a motor-driven lens. You can adjust the zoom and focus level on PTZ control panel by vising the camera via web browser or client soware.

3 Set the Network Camera over the LAN
Note:
You shall acknowledge that the use of the product with Internet access might be under network security risks. For avoidance of any network aacks and informaon leakage, please strengthen your own protecon.
If the product does not work properly, contact your dealer or the nearest service center for help.

Acvate the Camera 3.2
You are required to acvate the camera rst by seng a strong password for it before you can use the camera.
Acvaon via web browser, acvaon via SADP, and acvaon via client soware are all supported. We will take acvaon via SADP soware and acvaon via web browser as examples to introduce the camera acvaon.
Note:
Refer to the User Manual of Network Camera for acvaon via client soware.
3.2.1 Acvaon via Web Browser
Steps:
- Power on the camera. Connect the camera to your computer or the switch/router which your computer connects to.
- Input the IP address into the address bar of the web browser, and press Enter to enter the acvaon interface.
Notes:
- The default IP address of the camera is 192.168.1.64.
- The computer and the camera should belong to the same subnet.
- For the camera enables the DHCP by default, you need to use the SADP soware to search the IP address.

And we recommend you reset your password regularly, especially in the high security system, reseng the password monthly or weekly can beer protect your product.

Conrm the password.

Click OK to save the password and enter the live view interface.
3.2.2 Acvaon via SADP Soware
SADP soware is used for detecting the online device, acvang the camera, and reseng the password.
Get the SADP soware from the supplied disk or the ocial website, and install the SADP according to the prompts.
Follow the steps to acvate the camera.
Steps:
- Run the SADP soware to search the online devices.
- Check the device status from the device list, and select the inacve device.

Note:
The SADP soware supports acvang the camera in batch. Refer to the user manual of SADP soware for details.
- Create and input the new password in the password eld, and conrm the password.

You can enable the Hik-Connect service for the device during acvaon. Refer to Chapter 5.1 for detailed informaon.
- Click Acvate to start acvaon.
You can check whether the acvaon is completed on the popup window. If acvaon failed, make sure that the password meets the requirement and try again.
Modify the IP Address 3.3
Purpose:
To view and congregate the camera via LAN (Local Area Network), you need to connect the network camera in the same subnet with your PC.
Use the SADP soware or client soware to search and change the IP address of the device. We take modifying the IP Address via SADP soware as an example to introduce the IP address modicaon.
For IP address modicaon via client soware, refer to the user manual of client soware.
Steps:
- Run the SADP soware.
- Select an acve device.
- Change the device IP address to the same subnet with your computer by either modifying the IP address manually or checking the checkbox of Enable DHCP.

Note:
You can enable the Hik-Connect service for the device during acvaon. Refer to Chapter 5.1 for detailed informaon.
- Input the admin password and click Modify to acvate your IP address modicaon.
The batch IP address modicaon is supported by the SADP. Refer to the user manual of SADP for details.
4 Access via Web Browser
System Requirement:
Operang System: Microso Windows XP SP1 and above version
CPU: 2.0 GHz or higher
RAM: 1G or higher
Display: 1024×768 resoluon or higher
Web Browser: Internet Explorer 8.0 and above version, Apple Safari
5.0.2 and above version, Mozilla Firefox 5.0 and above version and
Google Chrome 18 and above version
Steps:
- Open the web browser.
- In the browser address bar, input the IP address of the network camera, and press the Enter key to enter the login interface.
Note:
The default IP address is 192.168.1.64. You are recommended to change the IP address to the same subnet with your computer.
- Input the user name and password.
The admin user should congregate the device accounts and user/operator permissions properly. Delete the unnecessary accounts and user/operator permissions.
Note:
The device IP address gets locked if the admin user performs 7 failed password aempts (5 aempts for the user/operator).
- Click Login.

- Install the plug-in before viewing the live video and managing the camera. Follow the installaon prompts to install the plug-in.
Note:
You may have to close the web browser to nish the installaon of the plug-in.

5 Operate via Hik-Connect App
Purpose:
Hik-Connect is an applicaon for mobile devices. With the App, you can view live image of the camera, receive alarm nocaaon and so on.
Note:
Hik-Connect service is not supported by certain camera models.
5.1 Enable Hik-Connect Service on Camera
Purpose:
Hik-Connect service should be enabled on your camera before using the service.
You can enable the service through SADP soware or web browser.
5.1.1 Enable Hik-Connect Service via SADP Soware
Steps:
- Check the checkbox of Enable Hik-Connect on:
1). "Acvate the Device" page during camera acvaon, refer to Chapter 3.2.2.
2). Or "Modify Network Parameters" page during modifying IP address, refer to Chapter 3.3.
- Create a vericaon code or change the vericaon code.

Tips To enable Hik-Connect service, you need to create a verification code or change the verification code. Verification Code ********** 6 to 12 letters or numbers,case sensitive.You are recommended to use a combination of no less than 8 letters or numbers. Confirm Verification Code ********| The Hik-Connect service will require internet access. Please read the "Terms of Service" and "Privacy Policy" before enabling the service. The vericaon code is required when you add the camera to Hik-Connect app.

5.1.2 Enable Hik-Connect Service via Web Browser
Before you start:
You need to acvate the camera before enabling the service. Refer to Chapter 3.2.
Steps:
- Access the camera via web browser. Refer to Chapter 4.
- Enter plaorm access conguraon interface: Conguraon > Network > Advanced Sengs > Plaorm Access.

- Select Plaorm Access Mode as Hik-Connect.
- Check the checkbox of Enable.
- Click and read "Terms of Service" and "Privacy Policy" in pop-up window.
- Create a vericaon code or change the vericaon code for the camera.
Note:
The vericaon code is required when you add the camera to Hik-Connect app.
- Save the sengs.
5.2 Hik-Connect Setup
Steps:
- Download and install the Hik-Connect app by searching "Hik-Connect" in App Store or Google Play ^TM .
- Launch the app and register for a Hik-Connect user account.
- Log in Hik-Connect app aer registraon.
5.3 Add Camera to Hik-Connect
Before you start:
You need to enable the Hik-Connect service on camera before adding it to your Hik-Connect account. Refer to Chapter 5.1.
Steps:
- Use a network cable to connect the camera with a router if the camera does not support Wi-Fi.

Note:
Aer the camera connects to the network, please wait one minute before any operaon on the camera using Hik-Connect app.
- In the Hik-Connect app, tap “+” on the upper-right corner and then scan the QR code of the camera to add the camera.
You can nd the QR code on the camera or on the cover of the Quick Start Guide of the camera in the package.

Note:
If the QR code is missing or too blur to be recognized, you can also add the camera by tapping the icon and inpung the camera's serial number.
- Input the vericaon code of your camera.
Note:
- The required vericaon code is the code you create or change when you enabling Hik-Connect service on camera.

If you forget the vericaon code, you can check the current vericaon code on Plaorm Access conguraon page via web browser.

Follow the prompts to set the network conneccon and add the camera to your Hik-Connect account.
Note:
For detailed informaon, refer to the user manual of the Hik-Connect app.
Initialize the Memory Card 5.4
Steps:
Check the memory card status by tapping on the Storage Status in the Device Sengs interface.
If the memory card status displays as Uninialized, tap to inialize it. The status will then change to Normal. You can then start recording any event triggered video in the camera such as moon detecon.
