How do I assemble the cotton candy machine?

The machine comes assembled. To disassemble for cleaning, remove the locking ring, splash guard, bowl, and spinner head. Reassemble in reverse order, ensuring the bowl locks securely and the spinner head aligns with the motor spindle.

What type of sugar should I use?

Use regular granulated sugar. Do not use powdered sugar or sugar substitutes as they may not work properly.

Why is my cotton candy not forming?

Ensure the machine has warmed up for 5 minutes before adding sugar. Check that the spinner head is spinning freely and that you are using a level scoop of sugar. Also, avoid overfilling.

How long can I use the machine continuously?

Do not operate for more than 30 minutes continuously. After 30 minutes, turn off and let it cool for at least 10 minutes before using again.

How do I clean the cotton candy machine?

Unplug and let it cool completely. Removable plastic parts (bowl, splash guard, locking ring) are dishwasher safe. The spinner head can be hand washed in warm soapy water. Wipe the motor unit with a damp cloth; never immerse it in water.

Safety

• Incorrect handling of this product could result in personal injury.
• The product should always be disconnected from the mains when it is not in use, when it is to be assembled/disassembled and when it is to be cleaned.
• This product can be used by children aged from 8 years and above if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the product in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised. Ensure that the product and its mains lead are kept out of reach of children under the age of 8.
• Switch the product off and disconnect it from the mains before changing accessories or handling any of the moving parts.
• The product may be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capability, lack of experience or knowledge which could jeopardise their safety, provided they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the safe use of the product and understand the hazards involved.
• Never let children play with the product.

• Ensure that the product is used with the correct voltage. Refer to the rating plate on the product.

• To prevent electric shocks, the product and its mains lead should be kept dry.

• Never lay the mains lead over hot surfaces, sharp edges or corners.
• Always disconnect the product from the power supply by holding and pulling the plug. Do not pull the mains lead.
• Make sure that all parts are correctly assembled and that the product is switched off before it is connected to the power supply.
• Never use the product close to heat sources.
• Only use the included accessories.
• Never use the product for anything other than its intended use.
• The mains lead should be checked regularly. Never use the product if the mains lead or plug is damaged.
• The mains lead must be changed if damaged. This is to prevent the risk of electric shock or fire and should only be carried out by the manufacturer, qualified service facility or qualified technician.
• Do not touch any hot machine parts, as burn injuries may result.
• Never touch any moving parts while the product is in operation.
• Never leave the product unattended during use.
• The product must never be used with a timer, remote control or other equipment which turns the power on automatically.
• The product is subject to overheating if used continuously for more than 30 minutes. Therefore, the product must be allowed to cool for at least 10 minutes for every 30 minutes of use. Use the cooling off period to clean out the bowl before reuse. Allowing the machine to overheat may pose a fire hazard.

- Inspect the heating elements during cleaning to ensure that they are free from any sugar residue before reusing. If there is any sugar residue left on the heating elements, pull out the plug and allow the product to cool. Then scrape any residue away with a wooden or plastic implement. Any residue left on the heating elements may pose a fire risk.

- The product is intended for normal domestic use or under similar conditions such as in staff canteens, offices, hotels and hostels.

Operating instructions

The candy floss machine comes completely assembled. Before using it for the first time it must be disassembled and cleaned.

Disassembly

1. Carefully remove the locking ring (3) and then the splash guard (4).
2. Release the bowl (2) by rotating it until the plastic tabs disengage from the metal locking tabs on the motor unit. Then remove the bowl by carefully lifting it upwards.
3. Remove the spinner head (5) by lifting it straight upwards.
4. Follow the instructions under Care and maintenance.

After cleaning, assemble the parts in reverse order to the directions described above. Be especially careful that the bowl is securely locked into position and that the plastic tabs on the bowl lock onto the metal tabs on the motor unit.

Make sure that the notch in the spinner head spindle is precisely aligned with the pin on the motor unit spindle when attaching.

Making candy floss

1. Place the candy floss machine on a level surface and plug it into a power point.
2. Switch the machine ON and let the machine warm up for 5 minutes.
3. Place the power switch in the OFF position and let the spinner head stop spinning completely.

1. Use the included measuring scoop to measure a level scoopful of sugar and pour it into the centre of the spinner head.
   Note: Never add more sugar than the amount the measure holds = max 1 tablespoon.

2. Set the switch to the ON position. The spinner head will begin spinning.

3. The candy floss machine will now start producing candy floss. Insert a stick into the bowl in a completely upright position. Then slowly rotate the stick between your fingers while simultaneously moving it in a one-way circular direction slightly above the bowl's rim.

1. Once you have gathered a little floss, continue with the same procedure as described above, only this time begin angling the stick into the bowl to make it easier for the floss to build onto it.

2. When finished, set the power switch to the OFF position and unplug the machine.

Caution:

• The product must not be operated continuously for longer than 30 minutes. The machine should be allowed to cool for 10 minutes after every 30 minutes of use. Allowing the machine to overheat may pose a fire hazard.
• Switch off the machine and let the spinner head come to a complete stop before refilling. This is important so as to avoid spilling sugar onto the heating elements under the spinner head. Any residue left on the heating elements may pose a fire risk.

Care and maintenance

All removable plastic parts are dishwasher safe. Clean the motor unit by wiping it with a soft damp cloth. The spinner head can be hand washed in warm soapy water. Always unplug the machine and let it cool down completely before disassembling it for cleaning.

Note: Never immerse the motor unit in water.

Responsible disposal
