Frequently Asked Questions - 351.115 SKYTRONIC

How do I recover the password if I forgot it?
The default password for the DVR is 123456. If you have forgotten a custom password, you can use the master code 0800808 to reset it.
No video signal on the DVR. What should I check?
First, ensure all BNC connections are secure. Replace the cable if necessary. Verify that the video format is correct: use PAL for Europe and NTSC for America. Also check that the camera power supply is working.
How can I access the DVR remotely over the internet?
Connect the DVR to your router via Ethernet. In the Network Setup menu, choose either DHCP, Static IP, or PPPoE. Forward the Media Port and Web Port on your router to the DVR's IP address. Then use your browser to access http://your-public-IP:web-port.
Can I use a PC hard drive in the DVR?
Yes, you can use a standard SATA hard drive up to 1 TB. The DVR will format the drive for its own use, making it unreadable on a PC afterward.
Why does the DVR beep continuously?
The buzzer sounds for alarms: motion detection, HDD loss, HDD full, or video loss. Check the Alarm Setup menu and disable the buzzer for specific events if needed. Also ensure the HDD is detected and has free space.
How do I set up motion detection recording?
Go to Main Menu > Device > Motion. Enable motion detection on the desired channel, adjust sensitivity (1–8), and define the motion area by clicking on the grid. Then set the recording mode to Schedule and select 'Normal' for the times you want motion-triggered recording.
The remote control does not work. What can I do?
Ensure there are no obstacles between the remote and the DVR. Replace the batteries with fresh ones. If the front panel buttons work but the remote does not, the remote may be faulty or the DVR's IR receiver may be blocked.
How do I export recorded footage?
In Record Search mode, select the files you want to export and click Backup. Connect a USB flash drive or external HDD to the DVR's USB port. The files will be saved in H.264 format. You can also back up via the network using the Web Client.
Can I delete individual recorded files?
No, the DVR does not support deleting individual files. To free up space, you can format the hard drive (erasing all data) or enable Overwrite in HDD Management to automatically overwrite the oldest recordings when the drive is full.
Why is the DVR not recording on schedule?
Check that the recording mode is set to Schedule and the schedule is configured correctly in Record > Schedule. Ensure the HDD is formatted and has free space. Also verify that the channels you want to record are enabled and that the recording status is 'Normal' or 'Alarm' as desired.
