How do I clean the crumb tray?

Unplug the toaster and let it cool. Pull out the crumbs tray located at the bottom, empty it over a garbage can, wipe with a damp cloth, and slide it back into place.

What should I do if bread gets stuck in the toaster?

Unplug the appliance and allow it to cool down completely. Use a non-metal tool, such as a wooden spatula, to gently dislodge the bread. Never use a fork or sharp object as it may damage the heating elements or cause injury.

Can I toast frozen bread directly?

In order to obtain utmost output from your appliance, please read carefully this user's manual and save it for further use.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

• Make sure that the voltage indicated on the Arzum Altro Toaster corresponds with the mains voltage in your home. Our company shall not be held liable for any failures owing to any discrepancy and such failures shall not be covered by the guarantee.

Do not leave the appliance unattended while under operation.

- Your device is for household use only. Do not use outdoors for commercial or industrial purposes. Otherwise, your appliance shall be treated out of the coverage of guarantee.

• To prevent harming your appliance do not use extension cords that supply insufficient current.

- Keep the appliance away from and out of the reach of children.

- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision of instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the

hazards involved. Children shall not play the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

- Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.

- Do not place your appliance over or near direct heat sources such as a stove or heating oven.

Do not let cord hang over edge of a table or counter, or touch any other appliances or hot surfaces.

- Place the unit on a flat and fixed surface, which would be resistant to heat.

After having used, remove the mains plug from the wall socket and allow cooling down; move only after it has completely cooled down.

- NEVER immerse the appliance into water for cleaning or any other purposes; do not let any water / water steam leak into the unit

Do not touch metal parts when in use.

- Avoid actions that may harm or damage the cord or plug of your appliance. To unplug the appliance, first hold the plug and NEVER pull by the cord.

Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner, such as by dropping down, etc. Do not attempt to repair it by yourself. Immediately

contact an Arzum Authorized Service.

- If you want to switch the appliance off when in use, first press the cancel button; then disconnect the mains plug from the wall socket.

- NEVER insert oversized bread slices, packages with metal foils, or tools into your unit. It may result in the risk of fire or electric shock.

- When in use, do not cover with such flammable materials as curtains, drapery, wall-paper, and similar materials, nor let them contact with the appliance.

Do not forget to empty the crumbs tray in particular intervals.

- Remove the mains plug

- If a bread slice is left inside of the appliance,

- If the unit malfunctions,

- After each use, and

- Before cleaning and care

• Use your appliance as recommended. Do not use your unit for any purpose other than its intended use.

PROPERTIES OF THE ARZUM ALTRO TOASTER

Adjustable Temperature Button;

- Your unit has a temperature setting with 8 levels. You can have warming, slightly, medium toasted, middle toasted or highly toasted bread.

Defrost Button;

- If the bread is just taken from the refrigerator, push the Defrost button in order to deice, extending the toaster time.

NOTE: Defrost time length depends on heating level. It takes longer to toast a frozen bread than a thawed bread.

Reheat Button;

- If you want to reheat your bread you can press the Reheat button. This will heat the bread for 30 seconds only, disregarding the adjustable temperature button in any step.

Cancel Button;

- To stop toaster when the unit is on, push the Cancel button and let the bread be ejected from the unit.

USING THE APPLIANCE

• Remove labels on the product if any and clean the body of the appliance by wiping with a damp cloth.
• Place sliced bread in toast compartment.
• Move temperature adjustment knob to desired position and plug in the appliance. After that, push the operation lever down till it locks in its socket.

Thus the bread will be seated in the lower part and toasting will automatically initiate.
- When the selected temperature is reached the slices of bread will be ejected automatically.
- If you want to stop toaster beforehand, push the Cancel button. Thus the operating handle moves up automatically and the toasting process stops. Do not stop your appliance by unplugging from the outlet.
To ensure equal toasting of both sides of the bread, cut it into slices evenly.

NOTE

It is recommended to operate the device in a ventilated room without bread slices in the highest toasting level in the first use. This process will clean the dust that might have accumulated on heating elements and prevent the bad smell that might result during toasting.

If a slice of bread is left inside;

- Disconnect the mains plug from wall socket and allow the unit to cool down, and then remove the jammed bread using non-metal tools.

NOTE

NEVER use a fork or sharp-edged tool to release the jammed bread, as these may cause damage or injuries.

The toasting degree of your bread may vary according to the intensity of the dough and humidity rate of the bread. Change the temperature adjustment of your appliance and then adjust the desired toasting degree again.

Care and Cleaning

Before starting cleaning, turn the appliance off and disconnect the mains plug from power outlet and allow it to cool down.
- Wipe the outside of the appliance with a clean and damp cloth. NEVER use abrasive cleansers.
- NEVER immerse the unit, its cord and plug in water or other liquids.

• To remove the crumbs, pull and take out the crumbs tray located in the lower part of the appliance. We recommend you to make this process over a garbage can.

- Wipe the crumbs tray with a clean and damp cloth, and then slide it onto its place.
