Frequently Asked Questions - BAT 2 Imperial

How do I connect the BAT 2 to my TV?
Connect the BAT 2 via the included 3.5 mm RCA cable or adapter to the headphone or AUX output of your TV. Then power the BAT 2 via USB. The transmitter will automatically enter pairing mode. Activate Bluetooth on your headphones or speakers and they should connect automatically.
What does the LED indicate?
The green LED flashes quickly (4 times/sec) when searching for new devices, slowly (2 times/sec) when searching for a previously connected device. A solid blue LED indicates a successful Bluetooth connection. Extremely slow green flash (twice every 5 seconds) means standby mode.
Can I connect to multiple devices at once?
No, the BAT 2 can only connect to one Bluetooth device at a time. To switch devices, terminate the current connection by pressing the button or disabling Bluetooth on the connected device, then pair the new device.
How do I reset or clear the paired device memory?
The BAT 2 automatically switches to 'new' connection mode after 40 seconds without finding a known device. To force a new pairing, press the button to restart the search. There is no manual reset, but the memory is replaced when a new device pairs.
What is the transmission range?
The maximum Bluetooth transmission range is up to 10 meters (33 feet) in open space. Walls and obstacles may reduce the range.
Does it support aptX or high-quality audio codecs?
No, the manual does not mention aptX. It uses standard Bluetooth 3.0 audio transmission. Audio quality depends on your source and receiving device.
Why does the BAT 2 go into standby mode?
If the BAT 2 does not find any device to connect within 60 seconds after power-up, it automatically enters standby to save power. The green LED flashes very slowly. Press the button on top to wake it and re-enter connection mode.
Can I use it with non-Bluetooth devices?
Yes, the BAT 2 is designed to add Bluetooth capability to any device with a 3.5mm headphone or AUX output, such as older TVs, stereos, or music players.
Is it compatible with Bluetooth 5.x devices?
Yes, Bluetooth is backward compatible. The BAT 2 (version 3.0+EDR) can connect to newer Bluetooth 5.x devices, but will operate at its own version's capabilities.
How do I update the firmware?
The manual does not mention any firmware update procedure. The device likely does not support user-upgradable firmware.
