Warnings

  • Proper conguraon of all passwords and other security sengs is the responsibility of the installer and/or end-user.
  • In the use of the product, you must be in strict compliance with the electrical safety regulaons of the naon and region. Please refer to technical specicaons for detailed informaon.
  • Input voltage should meet both the SELV (Safety Extra Low Voltage) and the Limited Power Source with 24 VAC or 12 VDC according to the IEC60950-1 standard. Please refer to technical speciaons for detailed informaon.
  • Do not connect several devices to one power adapter as adapter overload may cause over-heang or a re hazard.
  • Please make sure that the plug is rmly connected to the power socket. When the product is mounted on wall or ceiling, the device shall be rmly xed.

- If smoke, odor or noise rise from the device, turn o the power at once and unplug the power cable, and then please contact the service center.

Cauons

  • Make sure the power supply voltage is correct before using the camera.
  • Do not drop the camera or subject it to physical shock.
  • Do not touch sensor modules with ngers. If cleaning is necessary, use clean cloth with a bit of ethanol and wipe it gently. If the camera will not be used for an extended period, please replace the lens cap to protect the sensor from dirt.
  • Do not aim the camera at the sun or extra bright places. Blooming or smearing may occur otherwise (which is not a malfuncon), and aect the endurance of sensor at the same me.
  • The sensor may be burned out by a laser beam, so when any laser equipment is in using, make sure that the surface of sensor will not be exposed to the laser beam.
  • Do not place the camera in extremely hot, cold (the operang temperature shall be -30^ +60^ , or -40^ +60^ if the camera model has an "H" in its sux), dusty or damp locaons, and do not expose it to high electromagnec radiaon.
  • To avoid heat accumulaon, good venlaon is required for operang environment.
  • Keep the camera away from liquid while in use.

  • While in delivery, the camera shall be packed in its original packing, or packing of the same texture.

  • Regular part replacement: a few parts (e.g. electrolyc capacitor) of the equipment shall be replaced regularly according to their average enduring me. The average me varies because of dierences between operang environment and using history, so regular checking is recommended for all the users. Please contact with your dealer for more details.
  • Improper use or replacement of the baery may result in hazard of explosion. Replace with the same or equivalent type only. Dispose of used baeries according to the instrucons provided by the baery manufacturer.
  • If the product does not work properly, please contact your dealer or the nearest service center. Never aempt to disassemble the camera yourself. (We shall not assume any responsibility for problems caused by unauthorized repair or maintenance.)

For the camera support power over Ethernet (PoE), the power is passed along with data on Ethernet cabling. And a switch supports PoE funcon is required.

2 Installaon

Before you start:

  • Make sure the device in the package is in good condition and all the assembly parts are included.
  • The standard power supply is 12 VDC or 24 VAC, please make sure your power supply matches with your camera.
  • Make sure all the related equipment is power-o during the installaon.
  • Check the specicaon of the products for the installaon environment.
  • Make sure that the wall is strong enough to withstand four mes the weight of the camera and the bracket.

Wall Mounng 2.1

Steps:

  1. Fix the wall mounng bracket to the wall with the screws.

Insert the expansion screws rst if the camera is mounted to a cement wall. And you can use the self-tapping screws directly if camera is mounted to a wooden wall.

  1. Align the camera to the pedestal, and x the camera with the supplied screws.

  1. Adjust the camera to the opmal surveillance angle.

1). Loosen the adjusng screw.
2). Adjust the panning posion from 0^ to 360^ .
3). Adjust the Ing posion from -45^ to 15^ .
4). Tighten the adjusng screw.

  1. (Oponal) Install the waterproof jacket. Refer to Secon 2.3 for details.

Ceiling Mounng 2.2

Before you start:

Ceiling moung bracket is not included in the package. You need to prepare a ceiling moung bracket if you choose ceiling moung. The ceiling moung bracket shown below is only for reference.

Steps:

  1. Install the ceiling mounng bracket to the ceiling with screws.

  1. Remove the screw on top of the camera to expose the screw hole.

  1. Align the screw hole on the top of the camera with the ceiling mounng bracket and rotate the camera to get it xed.
  2. Tighten the nut to secure the camera on the bracket.

  1. Adjust the surveillance angle.

Pan: 0^ to 360^

1). Loosen the adjusng knob.

2). Rotate the notch to face or be back to your surveillance scene according to your actual need.

Note:

To obtain larger angel adjustment range, place the notch back to the surveillance scene if your camera monitors downwards, and place the notch facing the surveillance scene if your camera monitors upwards.

3). Adjust the panning position from 0^ to 360^ .
4). Adjust Ing posion from 0^ to 90^ .
5). Tighten the adjusng knob.

  1. (Oponal) Install the waterproof jacket. Please refer to Secon 2.3 for details.

It is recommended to adopt the waterproof jacket (supplied) for the network interface when the camera is installed outdoor.

Steps:

  1. If the network cable has been seled down, cut o the plug of the network cable rst.
  2. Route the network cable through the following components in sequence: x nut, waterproof ring, and the main body of the waterproof jacket, as shown in the gure.
  3. Insert the waterproof ring into the main body of the waterproof jacket, to increase the sealing ability of the components.
  4. Wire the plug and network cables up.
  5. Fix the O-ring to the network interface of the camera, and then connect the network cables.
  6. Wrap the network interface with the main body of the waterproof jacket, and then rotate the x nut clockwise to assemble it to the main body of the waterproof jacket.

3 Set the Network Camera over the LAN

Note:

You shall acknowledge that the use of the product with Internet access might be under network security risks. For avoidance of any network aacks and informaon leakage, please strengthen your own protecon.

If the product does not work properly, contact your dealer or the nearest service center for help.

Acvate the Camera 3.2

You are required to acvate the camera rst by seng a strong password for it before you can use the camera.

Acvaon via web browser, acvaon via SADP, and acvaon via client soware are all supported. We will take acvaon via SADP soware and acvaon via web browser as examples to introduce the camera acvaon.

Note:

Refer to the User Manual of Network Camera for acvaon via client soware.

Acvaon via Web Browser 3.2.1

Steps:

  1. Power on the camera. Connect the camera to your computer or the switch/router which your computer connects to.
  2. Input the IP address into the address bar of the web browser, and press Enter to enter the acvaon interface.

Notes:

  • The default IP address of the camera is 192.168.1.64.
  • The computer and the camera should belong to the same subnet.
  • For the camera enables the DHCP by default, you need to use the SADP soware to search the IP address.

And we recommend you reset your password regularly, especially in the high security system, reseng the password monthly or weekly can beer protect your product.

  1. Conrm the password.

  2. Click OK to save the password and enter the live view interface.

Acvaon via SADP Soware 3.2.2

SADP soware is used for detecting the online device, acvang the camera, and reseng the password.

Get the SADP soware from the supplied disk or the ocial website, and install the SADP according to the prompts.

Follow the steps to acvate the camera.

Steps:

  1. Run the SADP soware to search the online devices.
  2. Check the device status from the device list, and select the inacve device.

Note:

The SADP soware supports acvang the camera in batch. Refer to the user manual of SADP soware for details.

  1. Create and input the new password in the password eld, and conrm the password.

You can check whether the acvaon is completed on the popup window. If acvaon failed, make sure that the password meets the requirement and try again.

Modify the IP Address 3.3

Purpose:

To view and congregate the camera via LAN (Local Area Network), you need to connect the network camera in the same subnet with your PC.

Use the SADP soware or client soware to search and change the IP address of the device. We take modifying the IP Address via SADP soware as an example to introduce the IP address modicaon.

For IP address modicaon via client soware, refer to the user manual of client soware.

Steps:

  1. Run the SADP soware.
  2. Select an acve device.
  3. Change the device IP address to the same subnet with your computer by either modifying the IP address manually or checking the checkbox of Enable DHCP.

Note:

You can enable the Hik-Connect service for the device during acvaon. Refer to Chapter 5.1 for detailed informaon.

  1. Input the admin password and click Modify to acvate your IP address modicaon.

The batch IP address modicaon is supported by the SADP. Refer to the user manual of SADP for details.

4 Access via Web Browser

System Requirement:

Operang System: Microso Windows XP SP1 and above version

CPU: 2.0 GHz or higher

RAM: 1G or higher

Display: 1024×768 resoluon or higher

Web Browser: Internet Explorer 8.0 and above version, Apple Safari

5.0.2 and above version, Mozilla Firefox 5.0 and above version and

Google Chrome 18 and above version

Steps:

  1. Open the web browser.
  2. In the browser address bar, input the IP address of the network camera, and press the Enter key to enter the login interface.

Note:

The default IP address is 192.168.1.64. You are recommended to change the IP address to the same subnet with your computer.

  1. Input the user name and password.

The admin user should congregate the device accounts and user/operator permissions properly. Delete the unnecessary accounts and user/operator permissions.

Note:

The device IP address gets locked if the admin user performs 7 failed password aempts (5 aempts for the user/operator).

4. Click Login.

  1. Install the plug-in before viewing the live video and managing the camera. Follow the installaon prompts to install the plug-in.

You may have to close the web browser to nish the installaon of the plug-in.

  1. Reopen the web browser aer the installaon of the plug-in and repeat steps 2 to 4 to login.

5 Operate via Hik-Connect App

Purpose:

Hik-Connect is an applicaon for mobile devices. With the App, you can view live image of the camera, receive alarm nocaon and so on.

Note:

Hik-Connect service is not supported by certain camera models.

Enable Hik-Connect Service on Camera 5.1

Purpose:

Hik-Connect service should be enabled on your camera before using the service.

You can enable the service through SADP soware or web browser.

Enable Hik-Connect Service via SADP Soware 5.1.1

Steps:

  1. Check the checkbox of Enable Hik-Connect on:

1). "Acvate the Device" page during camera acvaon, refer to Chapter 3.2.2.
2). Or "Modify Network Parameters" page during modifying IP address, refer to Chapter 3.3.

  1. Create a vericaon code or change the vericaon code.

  1. Click and read "Terms of Service" and "Privacy Policy".
  2. Conrm the sengs.

You need to acvate the camera before enabling the service. Refer to Chapter 3.2.

Steps:

  1. Access the camera via web browser. Refer to Chapter 4.
  2. Enter plaorm access conguraon interface: Conguraon > Network > Advanced Sengs > Plaorm Access.

  2. Check the checkbox of Enable.
  3. Click and read "Terms of Service" and "Privacy Policy" in pop-up window.
  4. Create a vericaon code or change the vericaon code for the camera.

Note:

The vericaon code is required when you add the camera to Hik-Connect app.

  1. Save the sengs.

Hik-Connect Setup 5.2

Steps:

  1. Download and install the Hik-Connect app by searching "Hik-Connect" in App Store or Google Play ^TM .
  2. Launch the app and register for a Hik-Connect user account.
  3. Log in Hik-Connect app aer registraon.

Add Camera to Hik-Connect 5.3

Before you start:

You need to enable the Hik-Connect service on camera before adding it to your Hik-Connect account. Refer to Chapter 5.1.

Steps:

  1. Use a network cable to connect the camera with a router if the camera does not support Wi-Fi.

Note:

Aer the camera connects to the network, please wait one minute before any operaon on the camera using Hik-Connect app.

  1. In the Hik-Connect app, tap "+" on the upper-right corner and then scan the QR code of the camera to add the camera.

You can nd the QR code on the camera or on the cover of the Quick Start Guide of the camera in the package.

Note:

If the QR code is missing or too blur to be recognized, you can also add the camera by tapping the icon and inpung the camera's serial number.

  1. Input the vericaon code of your camera.

Note:

  • The required vericaon code is the code you create or change when you enabling Hik-Connect service on camera.
  • If you forget the vericaon code, you can check the current vericaon code on Plaorm Access conguraon page via web browser.

  • Follow the prompts to set the network conneccon and add the camera to your Hik-Connect account.

For detailed informaon, refer to the user manual of the Hik-Connect app.

Initialize the Memory Card 5.4

Steps:

Check the memory card status by tapping on the Storage Status in the Device Sengs interface.

If the memory card status displays as Uninialized, tap to inialize it. The status will then change to Normal. You can then start recording any event triggered video in the camera such as moon detecon.
