Frequently Asked Questions - WCL 1 TEAM

How to install the WCL 1 on my lens?
Screw the WCL 1 directly onto your lens's filter thread after removing the cap. Ensure the thread matches (52 mm).
Is the WCL 1 compatible with all lenses?
It is compatible with lenses having a 52 mm filter diameter and a focal length of at least 50 mm. For wider lenses, there is a risk of vignetting.
Does the WCL 1 affect image quality?
It may introduce slight barrel distortion and reduced sharpness at the edges. Use a medium aperture to optimize quality.
How to clean the WCL 1?
Use a dry, soft microfiber cloth in circular motions. For stubborn stains, slightly dampen the cloth with distilled water.
Can I use the WCL 1 with a lens hood?
Yes, if the hood has a 52 mm thread, you can screw it on after the WCL 1. However, watch out for vignetting.
Is the WCL 1 supplied with a case?
It is usually sold with a soft case to protect it from dust and scratches.
What is the conversion factor of the WCL 1?
The conversion factor is approximately 0.5x, which halves the focal length. For example, a 50 mm becomes 25 mm.
Can I stack multiple filters on the WCL 1?
It is not recommended to stack multiple filters as it may cause vignetting and reduce image quality.
How to avoid reflections when using the WCL 1?
Use a hood if possible and avoid pointing the lens at direct light sources. The multi-layer coatings help reduce reflections.
Where can I find spare parts for the WCL 1?
Since this accessory is not repairable, no spare parts are available. If damaged, replace it.
