COME UTILIZZARE IL PRODOTTO
Congratulations on having purchased the Medifit Baby Monitor MD-609. Thanks to this nice product, you can always monitor your baby; the product is also provided with night light that will make your baby sleepy. Before starting using this appliance, it is advisable to read carefully this instruction manual. It is also advisable to save this manual for a future use.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
The baby monitor doesn't replace the adult supervision over children
ATTENTION: the product is not a toy and should be kept out of the children's reach. Make sure the baby unit and adapter cable are always out of reach of the baby, at least one metre away. Never place the baby unit inside the baby's bed or playpen. Use this appliance only for the purposes shown in this instruction manual. Any other purpose should be consider dangerous. Before connecting the appliance, check that the voltage shown on the rating label of the adapter corresponds to the local mains voltage. Before starting using the appliance, please check that the product is in perfect condition, without damages. In case of doubts, please address to a specialised centre. Unplug always the appliance when the product is not in use, before cleaning it and whenever a disturbance occurs. Switch always the product off before unplugging it. Check regularly both the product and the cable: in case of damages, do not use the appliance. Do not insert objects into any openings. Do not block air inlets. In case the product is not used for a long period, it is advisable to remove batteries. Never sit or stand on the massager heavily. Never use the appliance while you are having a bath or a shower. Never store the appliance in places from where it can easily fall into a basin or a tub. Should the appliance becomemoist or wet, remove themains plug from the socket immediately. NEVER TRY TO REACH THE PRODUCT INTO WATER!
Always place and store the product away from heating sources, sun light, dampness and sharp objects. When you store the products, never wrap the cable around it. Never try to unplug the product pulling it from the cable or from the product itself but pull always from the plug. In case of damages to the correct product functioning always address to specialised centre. Never try to repair the product by yourself, otherwise the warranty will be not valid anymore.
Do no place the appliance under blankets or pillows, as excessive heating may occur thus causing fire, electric shocks or other injuries to the user. This product is for indoor use only.

ATTENTION: the rounded loop type antenna on the parent unit (j), should not be used to carry the unitself; this will cause weak or no reception and reduce product performance.

Baby Unit
Place the baby unit on a flat and stable place, within 3 metres from the baby. Baby unit can be fed both by AC/DC adapter (supplied with the product) and by batteries not incl. To operate the product by the mains adapter, plug the adapter into a convenient wall power socket and the DC plug (v) to the DC jack (c). Switch the product on pressing the on/off button (g); now the LED light (h) is on. Select the transmission channel between A and B, using the special button (i).
ATTENTION: channel switch on both parent and baby unit must be in the same position, otherwise the product would not function in the correct way (A-A or B-B channel)
Light button
Pressing the night light button (f) it is possible to switch the light on and off.
Parent unit
This unit too can be fed both by AC/DC adapter (supplied with the product) and by batteries not incl. To operate the product by the mains adapter, plug the adapter into a convenient wall power socket and the DC plug (v) to the DC jack (1). Switch the product on pressing the on/off button (m); now the led (o) is on, in order to show the product is working. Check the selected channel is the same as the baby unit.
LIGHT BULB REPLACEMENT
ATTENTION: light bulb replacement should be carry out by an adult only and following the instructions here-below: switch the baby unit off (in case the unit is connected to a wall power socket, please unplug it). Remover the screws placed at the back of the product. Then remove the character diffuse (b) pulling it upwards. Unscrew the bulb, turning it clockwise. Now you can replace the old bulb with a new one (T-10 DC 6.3V 0.15 A type), turning it counter clockwise.
Cover the light bulb holder by inserting the character light diffuser and screw to fix the diffuser with the base.
POWER BATTERY SUPPLY
Warning:
- When you insert batteries both in the parent and in the baby unit, please pay attention in respecting the polarity shown on the battery compartment.
- Never use batteries that shows signs of leaking or cracking.
- In order to avoid product damaging, it is advisable not to match batteries of different type, brand, age or charge.
- Keep the batteries away from children reach
- NEVER USE RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES
BATTERIES INSTALLATION
Baby unit
Open the battery compartment, at the base of the product, using a cross screw driver. Insert the 4 batteries type "AA" (not incl.), paying a particular attention to battery polarity, shown on the compartment itself. Close the battery compartment turning the three screws clockwise.
Parent unit
Open the battery compartment, at the back side of the product, using a cross screw driver. Insert the 4 batteries type "AAA" (not incl.), paying a particular attention to battery polarity, shown on the compartment itself. Close the battery compartment turning the three screws clockwise. Lithium batteries are advisable.

If the supply cord is damaged, it must be changed by manufacturer or by its service agent or by a qualified person in order to avoid an hazard.
If the item is used in bathroom, unplug it after use since the proximity of water presents an hazard even when the item is switched off.

DISPOSAL
The device (including its removable parts and accessories) must not be disposed of together with municipal waste at the end of its life, but in compliance with Europea Directive 2002/96/EC. Since it must be handled separately from household waste, either carry it to a separately collected waste disposal centre for electrical and electronic appliances or give it back to the retailer on purchasing a new device with the same purpose. Any infringement will be severely prosecuted.
