Device assembly

  • Clean the device and all accessories before the first use. Refer to the chapter CLEANING AND CARE.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Using juice extractor

• Prepare the fruit / vegetables before processing. Refer to the General tips section
- Connect the power cord (8) to a suitable outlet. Move the power switch (9) to position I, to turn it on. The juice extractor is now ready.
- Slowly put the fruit / vegetables into the filling opening.
- Use the filling slider (1) to push the ingredients down slightly. Observe the notches of the slider when pushing. Keep the filling slider in the filling opening whenever possible in order to avoid splashing.
- Continue putting fruit / vegetables in until the collection cup (11) or juice container (10) is full.
- Caution: Only use the filling slider (1) to push the ingredients downwards. Never use your fingers or other objects.
- The freshly-pressed juice runs into the juice container (10). The waste is pushed into the collection cup (11).
• Make sure that the collection cup (11) does not become overfilled during the juicing process.
- If the collection cup (11) or juice container (10) becomes full, switch the device off using the power switch (9) (Position 0). Empty each container before continuing with juicing.
- Switch the device off by using the power switch (9) after juicing (Position 0) and pull the plug (8). Clean your juice extractor immediately after each use.

Duration of operation

• The device is designed to process normal household quantities.
- Extreme stress on the device may cause an overload of the motor. In this case, the motor needs a cooling down phase to room temperature.
- The device must not be in continuous use for longer than 7 minutes. Let it then cool to room temperature before you bring it back into operation.
- If the device becomes noticeably warm, switch it off immediately and unplug the power cord.
- Allow the unit to cool completely before you bring it back into operation.

General tips

  • Use fresh fruit and vegetables because they contain more juice. Pineapple, celery, apples, cucumbers, carrots, melons, tomatoes and citrus fruit in general are particularly suitable for juicing.
  • Wash the fruit / vegetables before processing.
  • In general, skins and small seeds must not be removed before juicing. Peel fruit with a hard or inedible skin such as bananas, pineapple, oranges or melons.
  • Some fruits, such as plums, apricots and peaches contain large pits. Remove the pits before processing so as not to damage the device.
  • Cut large fruits and vegetables into smaller pieces that fit into the filling opening.
  • Apple juice will quickly change into a brown colour in the fresh air. Serve apple juice immediately after juicing, or add some lemon juice to it.
  • Figs, avocados, eggplant, raspberries, blackberries, currants, elderberries, rhubarb, blueberries, cranberries, beets, papaya, mango are unsuitable for juicing.
  • Add bananas only as flavouring because they provide very little juice.
  • Serve the juices freshly squeezed because they lose flavour and important nutrients in the air.

CLEANING AND CARE, TECHNICAL DATA

• Unplug the power cord (8) and allow the device to cool completely before cleaning.
- Remove all removable parts of the device and clean them immediately after each use. Cleaning is difficult once fruit and vegetable residue dries.
- Clean the strainer (3) under warm running water with a soft plastic brush and a mild dishwashing detergent. Dry it off. Caution: The strainer has sharp cutting edges.
- Clean all the other removable parts of device and accessories under warm running water with a sponge and mild dishwashing detergent. Then dry all parts completely.
- Clean the exterior surfaces of the device with a damp cloth and then dry them completely.
• Make sure that no water gets into the motor.
- Never immerse electrical parts of the device in water during cleaning or operation. Never hold the device under running water.
- Never use solvents and abrasives, hard brushes, metallic or sharp objects for cleaning. Solvents are harmful to health and attack the plastic parts. Abrasive cleaners and tools scratch the surface.
