Intended use

- This device is suitable only for simply blending liquid and solid foodstuffs. Any other use can lead to damage to the device or to injury.

Unpacking and checking

  • Carefully take the device and its accessories out of the packaging. Retain the packaging in case you would like to store the device away or transport it at a later date. If you choose to dispose of the packaging, then please do so according to the applicable legal regulations.
  • Check the packaging contents for completeness and damages. Should the contents in the packaging not be complete or be damaged, do not use the device. Return it to your retail outlet immediately.

Mounting the wall bracket

  • The wall bracket (8) for the stick blender may only be mounted on a suitable wall by experts.
  • Please ensure that there are no power or supply lines running inside the wall, before you drill the mounting holes. In the event that there are power or supply lines in the wall, choose another location to mount the bracket.
  • Hold the wall bracket at the desired location and mark the drilling holes with a ballpoint pen. Drill 2 holes and use a hammer to bang the rawl plugs (10) into the holes. Tighten the screws (9) in the rawl plugs.

Preparation

  • Before using the device for the first time, clean all parts that will come in contact with foodstuffs. Follow the directions in the chapter entitled CLEANING AND CARE.
  • Assemble the device properly, before you connect the power plug (1) to a power socket.
  • Attach the blender wand (6) to the motor unit (5) and turn it until it locks in place. The blender wand is firmly locked, if the marking on the blender wand and the lock symbol 📄 are aligned.

Operate the stick blender

  • This stick blender is suitable for the preparation of baby food, soups, sauces, milkshakes, mixed drinks and mayonnaise.
  • Use the stick blender only in a suitable bowl, measuring beaker, pot or in another suitable container.
  • To avoid splashing, immerse the stick blender in the bowl with the ingredients first and then turn it on.
  • Press on speed button I (3) to switch the stick blender on and to blend at a low speed. Press on speed button II (4) for a faster blending speed.
  • If you use an up and down motion while operating the stick blender, the ingredients will be processed most effectively. Make sure that the mixture does not reach as far as the connection between the motor unit and the blender wand.
  • If the stick blender gets stuck, disconnect the power plug (1) from the power socket. Only then, remove any lodged food particles from the blender wand.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

  • Caution! Do not use the device during the cooking process or when liquids are boiling.
  • Pull the power plug (1) out of the power socket, after using the device. Clean the device immediately after using it each time. Follow the directions in the chapter entitled CLEANING AND CARE.

Operating time

  • The device is designed to be used for processing typical household amounts and soft or pre-cooked food. Subjecting the device to severe strain such as using it to chop raw vegetables (carrots etc.) may lead to overloading the motor. If this occurs, the motor will need to cool down to room temperature.
  • It is recommended that you use the device for no longer than 10 seconds to process uncooked, hard foods. Then, allow the device to cool down for 1 minute. Afterwards, you can operate the device again for 10 seconds, followed by a rest of 1 minute, etc.
  • If the device heats up perceptibly, switch it off immediately and pull the power plug (1). Allow the device to cool down completely (at least 30 minutes), before operating it again.

Tips

• Always start blending at a low speed. Increase the speed gradually as stated in the recipe.
- Refrigerated ingredients, such as butter and eggs are easier to blend, if they have been allowed to reach room temperature in advance.
- Weather conditions, seasonal fluctuations in temperature, the temperature of the ingredients and their properties vary from region to region and affect the blending time and the results achieved.

CLEANING AND CARE, TECHNICAL DATA

  • Disconnect the power plug (1) and allow the device to cool down completely, before cleaning it.
  • Remove the blender wand (6) from the motor unit (5). To do so, turn the blender wand until the marking on the blender wand and the open lock symbol 📋 the motor unit are aligned.
  • Clean the blender wand and the cutting blades immediately after use with warm water and some washing up liquid. Dry the blender wand well, before using it again.
  • Caution! Risk of injury! The cutting blades of the blender wand are very sharp! Proceed with caution when you are handling them.
  • Never immerse the motor unit in water or other liquids, when you are cleaning them. Never hold these parts under running water.
  • Clean the outside surfaces of the motor unit with a slightly moist cloth and rub them dry.
  • Some foods, e.g. carrots, may stain the plastic. Use a cloth dipped in vegetable oil to partially remove the colour residue on the affected area.
  • Never use solvents and scouring powder, hard brushes and metallic or sharp objects to clean the device. Solvents are dangerous to our health and have an adverse effect on plastic parts. Abrasive cleaners and materials scratch the surface.
