How to use the kettle for the first time?

Fill the kettle with cold water up to the MAX level, boil, empty, rinse, and repeat the operation 2 to 3 times before first use.

What to do if the kettle does not turn on?

Check that the kettle is properly placed on its base and that the cord is plugged in. If the indicator light remains off, contact customer service.

How to clean the kettle?

Unplug and let it cool. Clean the exterior with a soft cloth. For the interior, use a soft brush to remove limescale deposits. Never immerse in water.

How to descale the kettle?

Use a commercial descaling product following the instructions on the package. Rinse thoroughly after treatment.

What to do if the kettle stops before the water boils?

This may be due to a lack of water (level below MIN) or a malfunction. Check the water level and ensure the kettle is properly placed on its base.

Can I use the kettle without water?

No, the kettle is equipped with overheat protection that automatically shuts it off in case of dry operation. If this happens, unplug, wait 10 minutes, then fill with cold water before using again.

How to safely open the lid?

Press the unlocking button after the kettle has stopped and there is no more steam. Beware of hot water splashes.

What is the recommended water level?

Always fill between the MIN and MAX marks. Do not exceed the MAX level to avoid boiling water splashes.

The power cord is damaged, what to do?

The cord must be replaced by qualified service personnel. Do not use the appliance. Contact customer service.

Can I reheat already boiled water?

Yes, but wait for the water to cool sufficiently to allow the kettle to reset. Turn the switch back on.

Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance.

Important: People (including children) who are not able to use the appliance in a safe way, due to their physical, sensorial or mental capacity or their lack of experience or knowledge, must never use the appliance except if they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety or if they previously received instructions concerning the safe use of the appliance. Close supervision is necessary to prevent children from using the appliance as a toy.

☐ Check that your mains voltage corresponds to that stated on the appliance.
☐ Never leave the appliance unsupervised when in use.
From time to time check the cord for damages. Never use the appliance if cord or appliance shows any signs of damage. In that case, repairs should be made by a competent qualified electrician ^() . Should the cord be damaged, it must be replaced by a competent qualified electrician ^() .
☐ Only use the appliance for domestic purposes and in the way indicated in these instructions.
☐ Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid for any reason whatsoever. Never put it in the dishwasher.

☐ Never use accessories that are not recommended by the producer. They could constitute a danger to the user and risk to damage the appliance.
☐ Stand the appliance on a table or flat surface.
☐ Never move the appliance by pulling the cord. Make sure the cord cannot get caught in any way. Do not wind the cord around the appliance and do not bend it.
☐ If your type of appliance has a separate base or a detachable cord, remove them from the water cooker when filling it. If your appliance has a fixed cord, unplug it before filling it.
□ Always fill between the minimum and maximum marks. The water must never be below the minimum mark or the heating element might be damaged. Do not overfill the jug kettle as boiling water might overflow.
☐ When using, make sure the lid is closed correctly. Never raise the lid when the jug kettle is in use and when there are risks of hot water projection due to the bubbling.
☐ Be careful not to get burned by the hot steam that evaporates when the water is boiling and especially when you open the lid.
☐ Use only the base that is supplied with the jug kettle.
☐ Make sure the appliance has cooled down before cleaning and storing it.

BEFORE THE FIRST OPERATION

For the perfect taste, operate the jug kettle with fresh water in order to clean any residue left from the manufacturing process. When the appliance has cooled down, repeat the process 3 times with fresh water, before rinsing.

OPERATION

• Always remove the jug from the power base before filling it.
- Raise the lid and fill the tank with fresh water paying attention not to fill under the "MIN" mark and above the "MAX" mark in the kettle. You can see the level thanks to the transparent water level indicator.
- Close the lid by pressing it down until it you hear a click. Make sure it closes correctly.
- Put the jug onto the power base, plug into the wall socket and switch on. The pilot light on the handle will come on. If it does not come on, check if the jug kettle is placed correctly on its base. If the problem persists, contact the nearest customer service.
- The jug kettle will switch off automatically when the water is boiling. However, you can switch it off anytime by pressing the on/off switch.
• For instant reboiling, wait until water has cooled down and switch on the appliance again.

SAFETY CUT-OUT

• This jug kettle is protected with an automatic safety device if accidentally switched on without water.
• In this case, switch off the appliance and wait about 10 minutes for the element to cool. Then fill the jug kettle with cold water. This will reset the safety device.
  • The kettle may then be used as normal.
• Should the problem persist, please contact the nearest customer service.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• Before attempting any cleaning operation, make sure the appliance is unplugged from the supply socket and fully cooled down.
• To clean the exterior surfaces, simply wipe over with a soft damp cloth and dry thoroughly. To remove scale from the inner walls of the kettle and from the filter you can use a soft brush.
• Never use abrasive products
• On no account must the jug kettle or its power base be immersed in water.

DESCALING

To remove scale from the jug kettle, use products made especially available for this purpose. Make sure to use a type recommended for plastic kettles and follow the product's instruction manual carefully.
