How do I program the remote to control my Peerless-AV display?

Press and hold the TV button and the OK button simultaneously for 2 seconds until the red LED lights up. Enter code 195 (found in the TV codes list for Peerless-AV). The device should turn off; press TV then Power to confirm.

What batteries does the remote use and how do I replace them?

The remote uses two AAA 1.5V batteries. Remove the two screws from the battery holder, pull it out, replace the batteries observing polarity, reinsert and tighten screws to maintain waterproof seal.

The remote LED does not light up when I press a button. What should I do?

Replace the batteries. If the LED still does not light, ensure the batteries are inserted correctly and the screws are fully tightened. If the problem persists, contact Peerless-AV support.

Can I control other devices like cable boxes and Blu-ray players with this remote?

Yes. The remote can control satellite/cable boxes, DVD/Blu-ray players, VCRs, and audio equipment. Program the appropriate device button (TV, DVD, CBL, or AUX) using the codes listed in the manual.

How do I program the remote for a device not listed in the code tables?

Use the code search method: press and hold the device button and OK, then repeatedly press CH Up until the device turns off. Confirm by pressing the device button then Power.

What is the waterproof rating of the display and remote?

The display is designed for outdoor use with an IP65 rating (dust-tight and protected against water jets). The remote is also waterproof when battery cover screws are fully tightened.

How do I clean the display?

Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or a mild soap solution. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or spray liquids directly on the screen.

Can I mount the display on a wall?

Note: The Peerless-AV Waterproof Universal Remote Control is supplied with batteries already installed.

If the Red LED light on the remote fails to illuminate when a button is pressed, the batteries may need to be replaced. Follow the directions below to replace the batteries.

Remove the two screws from the battery holder as shown. Pull the battery holder out of the bottom of the remote control and remove the batteries.

Insert two new 1.5V AAA batteries into the battery holder as shown. Ensure the positive and negative marks on the batteries are correctly oriented with the markings on the inside of the remove control's battery compartment.

Insert the battery holder back into the battery compartment of the remote control. Tighten both battery holder screws, making sure the screws are tightened all the way to maintain a waterproof seal (do not over tighten).

NOTE:

Please refer to Table 1a when in the "PROGRAMMING THE REMOTE USING DEVICE CODES" section. After programming is complete, the Universal Remote Control will be able to control the following types of devices:

Programming the Remote using Device Codes

To have universal control of your devices through the Peerless-AV Programmable Remote, perform the following steps; otherwise skip this section. Fully read and understand the process before attempting to program the remote.

1. Turn on the device that you would like to program into your remote using the power button the the device.
2. On the Peerless-AV Universal remote control, press and hold the button that you are trying to program (TV, DVD, CBL, or AUX) and the OK button simultaneously for 2 seconds. The Red LED on the remote will illuminate.
3. In the "MANUFACTURER'S CODES" section (page 6), locate the type and brand name of the device you are trying to program into the remote. Once you have located it, enter the first 3-digit code for your device. If the device that you are trying to control turns off, press the Device button that you were trying to program (TV, DVD, CBL, or AUX). The Red LED will blink two times.
4. To confirm the code works properly, press the Device button again then press the Power button. The device should turn on; however, if the device did not turn on, please repeat step 1-3 above with the next code in the list for that manufacturer.

If none of the listed codes work with your device, proceed to the "PROGRAMMING THE REMOTE BY SEARCHING FOR CODES" section (page 6).

1. Turn on the device that you would like to program into your remote using the power button the the device.
2. On the Peerless-AV Universal remote control, press and hold the button that you are trying to program (TV, DVD, CBL, or AUX) and the OK button simultaneously for 2 seconds. The Red LED on the remote will illuminate.
3. Press and release the CH Up button once to start the code search through the list of available codes. Each time the CH Up button is pressed, the remote will send an Off command to the device using the next code on the list. Each time the CH Up button is pressed, the Red LED on the remote control will illuminate for verification.
4. Continue pressing the CH up button until the device you are trying to control turns off. Then press the Device button that you were trying to program (TV, DVD, CBL, or AUX). The Red LED will blink two times.
5. To confirm the code will work properly, press the Device button again. Then press the power button. The device should turn on; However, if the device did not turn on, please repeat steps 1-4 above.
