REP₃ DISC 00 MP3 1- Read Instructions - All the safety and operating instructions should be read before the appliance is operated.
- Retain Instructions - The safety and operating instructions should be retained for future reference.
- Heed Warnings - All warnings on the appliance and in the operating instructions should be adhered to.
- Water and Moisture – Do not use the apparatus near water (e.g. bath tub, sink, swimming pool) or in wet places or tropical climates. Do not place objects filled with liquids, such as vases, on top of the apparatus. Do not expose the apparatus to dripping or splashing.
- Setup – The apparatus should only be placed on a stable, flat surface. Do not let the apparatus fall down or expose it to shock.
- Wall or Ceiling Mounting - The appliance should be mounted to a wall or ceiling only as recommended by the manufacturer.
- Ventilation - The appliance should be situated so that its location or position does not interfere with its proper ventilation. For example, the appliance should not be situated on a bed, sofa, rug, or similar surface that may block the ventilation openings; or, placed in a built-in installation, such as a bookcase or cabinet that may impede the flow of air through the ventilation openings. Ensure a minimum distance of 5 cm around the apparatus for sufficient ventilation. Ensure that the ventilation is not impeded by covering the ventilation openings with items such as newspapers, table-cloths, curtains, etc.
- Heat - The appliance should be situated away from heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other appliances (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
- Power Sources - The appliance should be connected to a power supply only of the type described in the operating instructions or as marked on the appliance.
- Cables and Plugs – The mains plug shall remain readily operable. All cables should be routed so that they are not likely to be walked on or pinched by items placed upon or against them, paying particular attention to cords at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the appliance.
- Cleaning - The appliance should be cleaned only as recommended by the manufacturer. Clean by wiping with a dry and clean cloth. Do not use chemical cleaners or detergents. Always pull the mains plug before cleaning the unit.

• Always keep the CD compartment shut to prevent dust or dirt from getting into the CD mechanism.
- Do not touch the recorded surface.
- Do not stick paper or write on either side of the CD.
- Do not bend the CD.
- Only handle a disc on its outer edges.



- Storing discs
• To avoid scratches/damages always put CDs back into their cases after use.
- Do not expose CDs to direct sunlight, dust, dirt, high temperatures, high humidity or water.

Cleaning discs

Use a soft cloth to wipe fingerprints and dust from the disc surface.

Correct False
- Never use benzene, thinners, record cleaner fluid or antistatic spray to clean CDs.
- Compatibility
- Due to the numerous compression methods, some discs may not play.
Power Supply
AC OPERATION
Before operation please ensure voltage on the set corresponds to voltage of your local area. Unravel AC line cord; insert one end into AC jack on the set while the other end into a standard AC outlet.
Remarks:
• In case of malfunction due to electrostatic discharge (ESD), reset the unit by reconnecting AC cord again to resume to normal operation.
- When not in use unplug the AC power cord completely from AC socket.

BATTERY OPERATION
Disconnect AC cord set completely. Open the BATTERY DOOR and insert UM-2/ "C" size x 8 batteries (not supplied) making sure the indicated battery polarity is observed.
Remark:
- Remove all batteries if the unit will not be used for a longer period of time.

Radio
RADIO OPERATION
- Slide FUNCTION SWITCH to "RADIO" position.
- Slide BAND SWITCH to the desired waveband.
- Turn the TUNING KNOB to your desired radio station.
- Adjust sound level by rotating VOLUME CONTROL KNOB.
- To turn off radio, simply slide FUNCTION SWITCH to "OFF" position.
FM STEREO INDICATOR
When tune to a FM Stereo broadcast the "FM ST. LED INDICATOR" will light up. In weak signal areas where FM Stereo signal may not be strong enough and can cause excessive background noise. In this case, slide the BAND SWITCH to "FM" position.
ANTENNA
For best reception, fully extend FM ANTENNA to receive FM stations.
For AM reception, the unit has a built-in antenna; turn the whole unit for best reception.
Bass Boost & Connectors
BASS BOOST
To increase bass at all volume levels, press BASS BOOST BUTTON to "ON" position to boost the low frequency tone for an emphasized bass sound.
To release super bass, simply slide the button to "OFF" position.
STEREO HEADPHONE JACK
For private listening, insert the plug of a stereo headphone into STEREO HEADPHONE JACK and adjust the VOLUME CONTROL KNOB accordingly. During the use of a headphone, speakers are automatically disconnected.
AUXILIARY (AUX) MODE
- Slide FUNCTION SWITCH to "AUX" position.
- Connect the earphone socket from an Auxiliary unit (e.g. MP3 Player or MD Player) into AUX-IN JACK on the rear of this product via an Audio Line Cord (3.5mm plug on both ends; not supplied).
- Play the Auxiliary unit. Music from Auxiliary unit can be listened through speaker of this product.

CD OPERATION
PLAYING COMPACT DISC (CD-R/RW/MP3 PLAYBACK COMPATIBLE)
Getting started
Note:
-
Should skipping of tracks occur during CD playing, try reduce the volume. When CD is playing, do not open CD DOOR.

Pull up the CD DOOR. Put a CD disc into CD Compartment and close the door. Set the FUNCTION SWITCH to "CD" position.
Note: Ensure CD DOOR is closed properly and locked in place.

When CD DOOR is closed with a disc inside, total number of the tracks will be shown on CD LCD DISPLAY and go to stop mode. (Ex. Total 17 tracks inside the disc). The "DISC" indicator will always be shown on LCD DISPLAY.
-
If there is no disc inside, LCD DISPLAY will show and go to stop mode.
-
If CD DOOR is not closed, LCD DISPLAY will show “---”.

For interruption while CD is playing, press CD PLAY/PAUSE BUTTON once. The Play indicator “▶” will blink continuously on LCD DISPLAY.

Though the sound stops, the disc will continue to spin. To re-start playback, press CD PLAY/PAUSE BUTTON again, music will start from the exact position where it was interrupted.
- To stop CD playback, press CD STOP BUTTON once whether CD is in Play or Pause mode; LCD DISPLAY will show total track number of the disc.
- To turn off the unit, slide FUNCTION SWITCH to "OFF" position.
Skip and search mode
- During play or pause mode, when CD SKIP/SEARCH FORWARD ▶▶ or BACKWARD ◀◀ BUTTON is pressed once, it will go to next track or go back to the beginning of the track.
- During play mode, when CD SKIP/SEARCH FORWARD ▶▶ or BACKWARD ◀◀ BUTTON is pressed and held, it will search the track with audible high-speed forward or backward playback.
Repeat mode
- Repeat 1:
When MODE BUTTON is pressed once, Repeat indicator "REP." will be shown on LCD DISPLAY. This single track of music will be repeated.
- Repeat All:
When MODE BUTTON is pressed twice, Repeat All indicator "REF" will be shown on LCD DISPLAY. The whole disc can be played continuously.
- To cancel repeat function:
Press the MODE BUTTON repeatedly until Repeat indicator disappears from LCD DISPLAY.

- To cancel random play function, press the MODE BUTTON again, "RAN- DOM" indicator will disappear from LCD DISPLAY.

- During CD stop mode, press PROGRAM BUTTON once. The "PROGRAM" indicator and number of Program to be memorized starts from the first program PO I will light up and blink continuously.
Press CD SKIP/SEARCH FORWARD ▶▶ or BACKWARD ◀◀ BUTTON to your desired musical track, LCD DISPLAY will show this appropriate track number. Press the PROGRAM BUTTON to store this track in memory.
- Repeat above procedure until all desired tracks have been programmed. A total of 20 tracks can be stored into memory.

- When PLAY/PAUSE BUTTON is pressed during CD stop mode, the first track will be played. The Play indicator “▶” will be lighted while “MP3” indicator will be shown as well to indicate MP3 disc is being played; LCD DISPLAY will show the specific track number is being played.

into folder, all track number will be shown directly in the LCD DISPLAY. The Album number will only show 001 after pressing FOLDER BUTTON.
b. If music is stored into different folders, you've to select the specific Album number first by pressing FOLDER BUTTON; afterwards press CD SKIP/SEARCH FORWARD ▶▶ or BACKWARD ◀◀ BUTTON to select the specific track number inside this Album.
Example: To select Album # 4, track # 3

Remark:
The folder and track number will be shown every 2 seconds alternatively.
- Repeat All:
When MODE BUTTON is pressed three times, Repeat All indicator will be shown. The whole disc can be played continuously.

- To cancel repeat function
Press the MODE BUTTON repeatedly until Repeat indicator disappears from LCD DISPLAY.

- To cancel programmed memory:

Open CD Door during CD stop mode.
The "PROGRAM" indicator will disappear from LCD DISPLAY.
SD & USB Operation
SD/MMC CARD PLAYBACK IMPORTANT NOTE:
This unit supports most of the common SD interface but not 100% because there are too many different formats keep on changing in the market.
- Slide FUNCTION SWITCH to "CD" position.
- Press CD/SD/USB BUTTON once, LCD DISPLAY will show "CARD" indicator.
Remark: When there is no SD/MMC card inside CARD SLOT, LCD DISPLAY will show no - Insert a SD/MMC card into SD/MMC CARD SLOT, total number of music will be shown on LCD DISPLAY.
- Press CD PLAY/PAUSE BUTTON to start playing the music.
- Operate all CD control buttons same as above mentioned in section "PLAYING MP3 DISC"; they have same function and operational method.
- To exit from SD/MMC CARD playback mode, press CD/SD/USB BUTTON twice. It will go back to CD disc mode again.
