How do I access the TOSHIBA Setup Utility (BIOS)?

Turn off the laptop, then press the F2 key repeatedly while powering on. The TOSHIBA Setup Utility will appear.

How do I clean my Qosmio C70-B laptop?

Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or a mild computer cleaner. Do not spray liquids directly. Clean the screen with a microfiber cloth. Refer to manual page 1-13 for details.

How can I replace the battery?

The battery is located on the bottom panel. Turn off and unplug the laptop, remove the battery lock, slide the release latch, and lift out the battery. Insert the new battery, lock it, and recharge fully.

My touchpad is not working properly. What should I do?

Check if the touchpad is disabled (press Fn+F9 or similar). Restart the laptop. Update touchpad drivers from TOSHIBA support. If still faulty, run TOSHIBA PC Health Monitor for diagnostics (page 5-15).

How do I format an SD/SDHC/SDXC card?

Insert the card into the reader. Open File Explorer, right-click the card drive, select 'Format'. Choose file system (FAT32 recommended for SD/SDHC, exFAT for SDXC). Default allocation size is usually fine. Click Start. See manual page 4-29.

How do I connect an external monitor?

Connect the monitor via HDMI or VGA port. Press Fn+F5 to toggle display modes (built-in only, external only, clone, or extended). Adjust resolution in Display Settings. Refer to page 6-15.

Why is my USB device not recognized?

Try a different USB port. Remove other USB devices. Restart the laptop. Check Device Manager for driver conflicts. For a USB mouse, see page 6-12. If using a USB hard drive, ensure it is powered externally if needed.

How do I use TOSHIBA System Settings?

Open TOSHIBA System Settings from the Start menu or Control Panel. It allows customization of power profiles, display settings, and hardware behavior. Detailed instructions are on manual page 5-11.

What does the laser lens in the optical drive do?

The laser lens reads and writes data on CDs, DVDs, and other optical discs. It is part of the drive assembly. Avoid touching the lens and clean it only with a disc drive cleaning kit to prevent damage.

Where can I find the regulatory compliance label?

The required label is located on the bottom of the laptop. It includes FCC and IC compliance information, as well as manufacturing details (see manual page for 'Location of the required label').
