-Before use, thoroughly read the operation manual..
- Extreme care is required in case of children presence in vicinity of the appliance.
- Do not hang the cord on any sharp edges and prevent any contact with hot surfaces.
- Always pull out the plug from the socket unless the appliance is used or before its cleaning.
- Do not use the roaster in case of its damage, also if its cord or plug is damaged – in such case the appliance should be handed over to an authorized service shop for repair.
-Do not use your drier for any other purpose except of its assignment.
- Do not immerse the appliance, its cord and plug in water or any other fluids.
- Do not leave the appliance without supervision in course of its operation..
- Do not stand the appliance in vicinity of walls or curtains etc. in course of its operation
-Do not put anything on the appliance lid.
- Do not forget to switch off the appliance before pulling out its plug from the socket
- Do not stand the appliance in vicinity of electric and gas cookers, burners, ovens etc
-Standing the appliance on metal surfaces should be avoided
-The appliance is designed for the use in household only.
-In order to disconnect the appliance from power source, pull out its plug from the socket.

-Keep your children safe: do not leave any parts of the pack aging readily accessible (i.e. plastic bags, cardboard boxes, polystyrene inserts, etc.).

- Store the appliance and its cord out of reach of children under 8 years of age.

-WARNING! Never let children play with plastic lm or bags. Choking/ asphyxiation hazard!

DESCRIPTION OF THE APPLIANCE

  1. Appliance lid with the motor and switch.

  2. Sieves with diameter of 28cm

BEFORE FIRST USE

  1. Prior to its first use for food products drying, the appliance should be switched on for 30 minutes without placing any products on sieves.

  2. After switching off, the cleaning and rinsing should be carried out in accordance with instruction included in paragraph „Cleaning and maintenance”.

OPERATION PRINCIPLE

  1. The drying of food products is used as effective method of their preservation.
  2. Hot air with continuously controlled temperature is circulated in the drier between the lid incorporating the motor and individual sieves as well as drier base.
  3. Therefore all products placed on drier sieves are thoroughly dried without the loss of their nutritional values.
  4. Therefore we can enjoy the fruit, vegetables or mushrooms without adding any artificial conservants for 12 months in a year.
  5. This appliance can be also used for the drying of flowers, herbs, preparation of musli etc.

HOW TO STORE DRIED PRODUCTS

  1. The storage containers for dried food products shall be clean and dry.
  2. Preferable method of storage of dried food products are glass jars with metal lids, placed in a dry and dark place at temperature of 5-20°C.
  3. During the first week after drying, the products in jars should be checked for humidity. In case of moisture, the products should dried repeatedly.

NOTE! Do not put hot or even warm products into storage containers!

USING THE APPLIANCE

  1. The sieves designed for products to be dried should be positioned in a manner enabling unrestricted air flow between them.
  2. Unless all sieves are not filled with products, it is recommended to place in the drier only the sieves with products.
  3. Put the appliance lid incorporating the motor onto the last placed sieve.
  4. Insert the plug into the socket.
  5. Switch on the appliance by means of the switch incorporated on the lid.

NOTE: The appliance can be also used for drying of larger pieces of products. In such case the sieves should be positioned with inlet openings oriented alternatively to each other. Therefore the usable space of the drier will be increased.

FINAL INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Always thoroughly wash the products before their placing in the drier.
  2. Any food products should be cut in a manner enabling their freely arrangement between uniformly oriented sieves.
  3. Drying time depends on the properties of individual products, thickness of slices etc.

  4. In case of non-uniform drying of products, individual sieves should be relocated – upper sieves should be replaced by bottom ones and vice versa.

  5. In order to avoid brown colour of fruit to be dried, the fruit can be sprinkled with lemon or pineapple juice..

  6. Some vegetables or fruit can be coated with natural protective layer; therefore their drying time can be prolonged. In order to avoid such inconvenience, the fruit can be peeled etc.

DRYING OF FRUIT AND MUSHROOMS

  1. Thoroughly wash the fruit or mushrooms.
  2. Remove all stones, decayed parts etc..
  3. Cut the fruit or mushrooms. in a manner enabling their freely arrangement between individual sieves.
  4. Dry the fruit or mushrooms until desired effect is achieved.

DRYING OF VEGETABLES

  1. Thoroughly wash the vegetables.
  2. Remove all stones, decayed parts etc.
  3. The vegetables with long cooking time should be pre-treated with steam.
  4. In order to do it, place the vegetables on sieve or strainer above the pot with boiling water for 1-5 minutes. The throw them into cold water and allow to dry.
  5. In case of paraboiling, place the vegetables in boiling water for 1-2 minutes and in cold water thereafter.

DRYING OF HERBS

  1. The drying of young leaves only is recommended.
  2. Do use paper bags for storage of dried herbs, because their smell and fat will be absorbed by paper.
  3. Store in cool and dark place.

DRYING OF MEAT AND FISH

  1. Prior to commencement of drying remove fat from meat and cut (preferably into longitudinal pieces like ribbons) and marinate for 6-8 hours.
  2. Dry continuously until desired effect is achieved.
  3. Fish to be used for drying shall be extremely fresh.
  4. Clean the fish and eliminate all bones.
  5. Then sprinkle with lemon juice and immerse in salt solution in water.

DRYING OF FLOWERS

  1. Preferably select the flowers which are not fully open.
  2. Cut into pieces.
  3. Dry continuously until desired effect is achieved.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  1. In order to clean the housing, it can be wiped with moist cloth with addition of a small amount of detergent.
  2. The sieves of base of the drier can be washed in warm water with addition of a small amount of detergent.
  3. Hardly removable dirt can be eliminated by gentle rubbing with soft brush.
  4. Do not immerse the lid with motor in water or in any other fluids!
  5. Do not use any solvents, aggressive detergents and sharp objects, because the housing of the appliance can be damaged.
  6. Do not wash any drier elements in dish washing machines.
