  • When cooking in „H - high temperature“ mode, watch the cooking process as some soups can start to foam. Remember that frequent lifting of the lid increases the cooking time.

    • The cooking time on the display starts counting in minutes until „0:00“ appears on the display.

CAUTION: During cooking, the slow cooker pot body (base) will be very hot. So handle gloves when handling slow cooker.

- After the cooking time has elapsed, „0:00“ flashes on the display, the slow cooker enters the „Keep warm“, where it remains for a maximum of 4 hours.

• After a full cooling, clean the slow cooker, see „Cleaning instructions“.

Hints for slow cooking

  • Due to the nature of slow farming, the meat does not brown, as if it was cooked in a pan or oven. Before slow cooking, it is not necessary to fry the meat or poultry, but you can do it if the meat tastes good.
  • Frying minced beef, bacon and sausage from slow cooking may be desirable if you want to remove excess fat from meat. The meat should be placed in the inner pot so that it does not touch the glass lid.
  • Lean meat such as chicken or pork tenderloin is faster than fibrous and fatty meat such as bovine plexus or pork shoulder. Baking meat with bone prolongs the cooking time compared to boneless meat.
  • Avoid opening a slow cooker during cooking as it causes considerable heat and steam loss. If you need to be still open, proceed as quickly as possible.
    • Cut the meat into small pieces when cooked with pre-cooked foods such as corn, fruit or vegetables (mushrooms, sliced onions, flowers or

vegetables).

• During slow cooking, meat and vegetables retain more juice than traditional cooking.
- Some foods such as carrots, potatoes and beets require longer cooking than meat, so cut them into small pieces before adding them to the meat. Make sure you put them on the underside of the inner pot and pour them with liquid.
• Get the fullest flavor of slow cooking by adding unspoilt herbs and spices.
• The beans must be completely smeared before combining them with sweet or sour foods.
- When cooking in a slow cooker, remember that liquids are not produced in the same way as is common in conventional cooking. Reduce the amount of fluid in the recipe that is not intended for a slow cooker. The exceptions to this rule are soups and rice.

- Remember that liquids can be added at any time later.

- If too much fluid does appear on cooking, re-program the slow cooker for another 45 minutes. Check the result every 15 minutes. After 30 - 45 minutes, the amount of liquid decreases.

- Most recipes that require uncooked meat and vegetables require rough cooking 6-8 hours at low temperature „L“.

- Add fresh dairy products (milk, sour cream or yoghurt just before serving on the table).

- Rice, noodles and paste are not recommended to cook for a long time. Boil them separately and add them to a slow cooker until the last 30 minutes.

Cleaning instructions

After each use:

  • Disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet, then from a slow cooker and let it cool down completely.
  • Wash the glass lid and the inner pot in warm, soapy water. These parts can also be washed in the dishwasher.
  • If the food sticks to the inner pot, let it dry in warm water.
    • You can use water with vinegar or edible soda to remove mineral stains in the inner pot.
  • Clean the inside and outside of the slow cooker base unit with a soft, slightly moistened cloth or sponge.
  • Never use abrasive cleaners for cleaning.

Care and maintenance

  • If you do not use the slow cooker, store it in a dry place. Place the inner receptacle in the base and cover slow cooker with the lid, which you can wrap in a soft cloth.
  • Avoid sudden, extreme temperature changes. For example, do not place a hot glass lid or inner pot in cold water or on a damp surface.
  • Do not use an inner pot to store food in the refrigerator and then to warm up in the slow cooker. Sudden temperature change may cause the container to crack.
  • Do not use an inner container or a glass lid if it is cracked or severely scratched.
