Remove all the packing material and take out the accessories. Remove all possible adhesion foils, stick-on labels or paper from the appliance. Before the first use, wash the parts that will be in contact with food in hot water with detergent, rinse thoroughly with clean water and wipe it dry.

Chopping container (E) and lid (D)

Set lid D on container E so that the blocking pressed holes on its edge snap directly in the blocking protrusions in the container. When you take the lid out, use the opposite direction.

Safety switch (A1)

Button I – low speed Button II – maximum speed

By pushing and holding the button you will start the appliance and by releasing the button you will switch off the appliance.

IV. USING ACCESSORIES

Please consider the following tips for preparing food as examples and inspiration, the purpose of which is not to provide instructions, but to show various possibilities of preparing food. The times of food preparation (processing) are only approximate and they range from seconds to minutes. Choose the amount of the processed food so that the maximum volume of the containers marked with the gauge line is not exceeded. Bigger amount of processed food has to be divided into several doses and the volume of the containers has to be checked regularly. Any time you work with the appliance, do not forget to put anti-slip base F1 under the mixing container F.We recommend stopping work from time to time, switching off the appliance and removing possible food that was stuck onto the mixing/whisking adapter, the sickle-shaped knife, the containers or the lid (see par.

I. SAFETY WARNING). After finishing work, disconnect the appliance from power supply by taking the connector of power cord A2 out of the electric socket. Containers E/F are suitable for use in a microwave oven.

Mixing adapter (B)

Be careful, knife edges are very sharp! The mixer is intended for mixing juices, milk shakes, milk, sauces, soups, mayonnaise, children's and dietary food, for making purée, etc. You can use speed I or II for processing.

CAUTION

The maximum time of processing is 1 minute. Then wait for 10 to 15 minutes, which is necessary for the drive unit to cool down.

Eta Quatro blade 1058 90000 - CAUTION - 1

Hold stick mixer A in your hand and put mixing adapter B into container F filled with food. By pushing switch A1 you will start the drive unit. When working, move the mixer in the container to process the food thoroughly. Food is processed in about 10 seconds to 1 minute. After finishing work, release the switch, remove the adapter from the container and clean it.

Recommendation

  • It is recommended to cut tough ingredients into small pieces. Do not process very hard materials (e.g. ice cubes, etc.). The knife would be blunt soon.
  • Hard ingredients (e.g. legumes, soya beans, etc.) should be soaked in water before processing.
  • The longer you process the food with the blender, the smoother the result will be.
  • In the case of liquids that create foam (e.g. milk), never fill container F up to the „MAX“ gauge mark to prevent overflowing.
  • If you are not satisfied with the result, switch off the appliance, mix the ingredients with spatula, take some part of the ingredients or add a little liquid.

Amount of the food and processing times

Food Max.amount Time

Baby food, soups and sauces 100 – 300 ml 60 sec.

Shakes and mixed drinks 100 – 300 ml 60 sec.

Fruits and vegetables 100 – 200 g 30 sec.

Batters 100 – 300 ml 60 sec.

Beater (C, C1)

It is intended for whisking eggs, egg whites, whipping cream, creams, puddings, runny dough and similar food. Do not use the beater for whisking tough dough! You can use speed I or II for processing.

CAUTION

  • The maximum time of processing is 2 minutes. Then wait for 10 to 15 minutes, which is necessary for the drive unit to cool down.
  • Always operate your hand blender in the upright position.
  • Never operate the appliance in an empty vessel or outdoors.
  • Do not press with your appliance on the material hardly.

Hold stick mixer A in your hand and put beater C into container F filled with food. Start the beater by pushing switch A1. When working, move the beater in the container to process the food thoroughly. Food is processed in about 10 seconds to 2 minutes. After finishing work, release the switch, remove the beater from the container and clean it.

Recommendation

  • When beating egg whites, use eggs at room temperature. If beating is not optimal, make sure that the beater is not greasy, or add a little lemon juice or salt.
    – Cool cream and whipping cream to at least 6 °C before processing.

Amount of the food and processing times

Food Max.amount Time

Cream 200 ml 70 – 90 sec.

Egg whites 4 pcs 120 sec.

Sickle-shaped knife (G)

Be careful, knife edges are very sharp! Do not use the knife for processing any dough! The knife is intended for chopping (mincing), mixing, blending all kinds of tough food (e.g. fruit, vegetables, nuts, almonds, deboned meat, tendons and skin or for preparing purée). You can use speed I or II for processing.

CAUTION

The maximum time of processing is 1 minute. Then wait for 10 to 15 minutes, which is necessary for the drive unit to cool down.

Hold knife G at the upper plastic part, remove the protective lid and put it in container E so that it is inserted on the central shaft E1 (Fig. 4). Put food into the container. Put lid D on the container so that the protrusions on the container snap into the pressed holes. Set on the drive unit A in the same way. By pushing switch A1 you will start the drive unit. Food will be processed in about 10 seconds to 1 minute. After finishing work, remove the knife in the opposite direction.

Recommendation

  • Before processing, cut bigger pieces of food into cubes of about 3 x 3 x 3 cm.
  • Never crush very hard ingredients with the sickle-shaped knife, such as coffee beans, nutmeg, ice cubes, etc.! The knife would be blunt soon.
  • Hard ingredients (e.g. legumes, soya beans, etc.) should be soaked in water before processing.
  • The longer you process the food, the smoother the result will be.
  • If you chop hard cheese or chocolate, work for a short time. It is because the ingredients are heated excessively by chopping, they become softer and they can become cloudy.
  • During processing, hold the motor unit with on hand and the chopper bowl the other.

Amount of the food and processing times

Food Max.amount Time Speed

Herbs 50 g 10 x 1 sec. I – II
Onions & eggs 150 g 7 x 1 sec. I – II
Meat 200 g (max) 10 sec. II
Nuts150 g40 sec. II
Cheese50 – 100 g (max)15 sec. II

V. MAINTENANCE

Unplug the appliance from power supply by taking the plug of the power cord out of a socket! Do not use rough and aggressive detergents! Clean drive unit A, gear C1 and lid D with soft and wet cloth with a little detergent. Make sure that water does not get inside the appliance! Wash the accessories in hot water with detergent right after use, rinse it in clean water and wipe till dry (you can also wash accessories C, E, F, F1, G in a dishwasher - but not mixer B). The end piece with the shaft of mixer B must not be immersed during cleaning (Fig. 6). Be very careful when cleaning mixing adapter B and sickle-shaped knife G. Make sure that the cutting edges of the accessories are not in contact with hard objects that make them blunt and thus they reduce their effectiveness. Some food can color the accessories in some way. But this does not affect the function of the appliance and it is not a reason for a claim. This coloring usually disappears after some time. Never dry plastic moldings over a heat source (e.g. heater, electric/gas stove). Store the appliance after cleaning at a dry, dustfree and safe place, out of reach of children and incapacitated people.
