Bread in the toaster may get burned, so do not use the toaster close to highly flammable matters (for example, curtains). The distance from the device to the furniture, curtains and other flammable matters should be at least 50 cm.

Actions in extreme situations

  • If your device has fallen into water or water has penetrated it, immediately disconnect it from the mains without contacting the device itself or the water.

Before startup

  • Remove all wrap materials and stickers

Preparation for use

  • Place the sandwich-maker on the even, heatproof, antislip surface leaving free space around the device to ensure sufficient air circulation. The distance from the device to furniture, curtains and other flammable objects should be at least 50 cm.
  • It is recommended to use heat insulating inflammable trivets on the surfaces which may be damaged by heat.
  • Wipe the heating surfaces of the device with a wet cloth or sponge.

ATTENTION! Specific smell or light smoke may appear after the first switching on the device due to dust or lubricating oil ingress on heating surfaces. This is normal and after several minutes of the device operation these effects shall disappear.

  • Open the upper cover and grease the heating surfaces with a small quantity of cooking oil.
  • Close the toaster cover. Switch on the toaster and let it operate up to 10 minutes.
  • Disconnect the device and let it cool with the open cover.
  • Carefully wipe the forms for sandwiches with a clean wet cloth.
  • Now your device is ready for operation.
    It is not recommended to eat the first portion of sandwiches.

Making sandwiches

  • Connect the plug to the socket. Red indicator will flash and the device will begin warming up. The cover must be closed during the warming up.
  • As soon as the necessary temperature is reached the green indicator will light and you may begin cooking.

ATTENTION! Red indicator will be on during the whole period of cooking while the plug is connected to the socket. The green indicator will periodically flash and go out, this is a normal regime of the device operation.

  • Open the cover and place slices of bread, 1 cm thick and the filling according to the selected recipe (see Recipes).
  • Carefully close the cover, slightly press and it fix with a latch.
    If the cover can be hardly closed it means that the toaster is chock-full. Do not close the toaster cover under pressure because this may damage the device. In such case reduce the quantity of products in the toaster or use thinner slices of bread.

The time of cooking till the sandwiches get fried is usually about 3-6 min.

  • Open the cover and take out the cooked sandwiches. Do not use sharp metal objects to avoid damaging the anti-stick coating. Use plastic or wooden server.
  • After the cooking is finished disconnect the toaster from the mains, let it cool and clean the toaster.

You can cook wafers or pancakes from frying batter in the toaster.

For this purpose grease and warm up the device as specified above.

- Open the cover and pour some frying batter with a spoon in the bowls of the heating surface; the quantity should be sufficient to be distributed over the whole surface of the bowl without overflowing.

- Close the cover so that the batter should be distributed over the whole surface of the bowl. Do not press the cover with effort so that it would not prevent the batter from rising when roasting.

Cooking usually takes 6-8 min. You may learn the precise time of cooking of your recipe by making a pilot baking.

- You may use white and dark bread.

- Cut the bread into slices that fit in size to the bowls in the heating surface of your toaster. The protruding parts shall be rubbed to crumbs.

- To obtain a golden crust spread some butter or margarine over the outer surface of the bread.

- Use only butter or standard margarine because other fats may burn. Do not put too much filling in your sandwiches because it may leak out.

- Do not use vegetables that wither under the influence of heat (salad, cucumbers).

Tomatoes and onions are good in sandwiches.

- Keep the toaster closed when out of use.

Sandwiches with cheese and bacon

Slices of white or dark bread smeared with butter, 2 slices of cheese, 2 slices of bacon.

Place slices of bread on internal surface (smeared side down). Place a slice of cheese and a slice of bacon on each slice of bread, cover this with remaining slices of bread (smeared side up), lower the cover and cook about 2-5 min.

Quick sandwich for breakfast

Slices of white or dark bread smeared with butter, 1 cut tomato, 2 slices of bacon Place slices of bread on the internal surface (smeared side down). Place slices of bacon and cut tomato on the bread, cover this with the remaining slices of bread (smeared side up), lower the cover and cook about 2-5 min. Serve hot.

Sandwiches with banana

Slices of white or dark bread smeared with butter, 1 /2 banana, a bar of chocolate.

Place slices of bread on the internal surface (smeared side down), add 2 squares of chocolate, cut banana and cover this with the remaining slices of bread (smeared side up), lower the cover and cook about 2-5 min.

Maintenance and care

WARNING!

-Before cleaning the appliance in any way, make sure that the appliance plug is not connected to the socket.

-Before cleaning unplug the appliance and let it cool completely.

-Never place it in water or any other liquid.

-Do not use abrasive or aggressive detergents. Do not scrape or shave the device with metal sponges and sharp objects.

With the aim of cleaning wipe the surfaces of the device with a soft cloth or a sponge moistened in a neutral detergent and then in clean water. After that wipe it with a dry cloth and let it dry.

If some food got burnt on the heating surface it is recommended to wipe it with vegetable oil and leave for some minutes to get soft.

Storage

  • Before storage unplug the appliance and let it cool completely.
  • Clean and dry appliance before storage.
