Frequently Asked Questions - IC-3100 Edimax

How do I reset the Edimax IC-3100 to factory defaults?

Press and hold the reset button on the bottom of the camera for about 10 seconds until the LED flashes. The camera will reboot and restore default settings.

Can I use the IC-3100 outdoors?

Yes, the IC-3100 is designed for both indoor and outdoor use. It has an IP65 weatherproof rating, so it can withstand rain and dust.

How do I set up motion detection alerts?

Access the camera's web interface or the EdiLife app. Go to Motion Detection settings, enable it, and configure sensitivity and notification methods like email or push alerts.

What is the default IP address of the camera?

The default IP is obtained via DHCP. Use the Edimax setup wizard or check your router's DHCP client list to find the assigned IP. Alternatively, the default static IP is 192.168.2.3 if DHCP fails.

How do I connect the camera to Wi-Fi?

Connect the camera via Ethernet first. Access the web interface, go to Wireless Settings, scan for your network, enter the password, and apply. Then disconnect the Ethernet cable.

Can I record video continuously?

Yes, you can set continuous recording to a MicroSD card or use FTP/SMB network storage. Configure recording schedule in the camera's settings.

How do I update the firmware?

Download the latest firmware from Edimax's support site. Access the camera's web interface, go to Administration > Firmware Upgrade, select the file, and wait for the update to complete.

Does the camera support two-way audio?

Yes, the IC-3100 has a built-in microphone and speaker. You can listen and talk through the EdiLife app or web interface.

What is the maximum MicroSD card capacity?

How do I view the camera remotely?
