Frequently Asked Questions - ZHC 95146 ZANUSSI

What is the power supply voltage of the Zanussi ZHC 95146 hood?
The voltage must match that indicated on the rating plate located inside the hood. Generally, it is 220-240 V ~ 50 Hz. Check before installation.
What minimum distance must I maintain between the hood and my cooker?
For an electric cooker, the minimum distance is 60 cm; for a gas or mixed cooker, it is 65 cm. Follow the cooker manufacturer's instructions if they specify a greater distance.
How to clean the grease filter of the hood?
The grease filter must be cleaned once a month. You can wash it by hand with a non-aggressive detergent or in the dishwasher on a low temperature and quick cycle. Note that washing in the dishwasher may cause discoloration, but this does not affect performance.
How often should I replace the activated charcoal filter?
The activated charcoal filter is not washable. It must be replaced at most every 4 months, or more often if the hood is used intensively.
How to replace the hood bulb?
First disconnect the hood. Ensure the bulb is cool, then replace it with a halogen candle bulb of ∅35 mm, E14 base, 28 W.
Can I use the hood without the grease filter?
No, never use the hood without the filter grid properly installed. This presents a fire risk and damages the appliance.
How to switch between extraction mode and recirculation mode?
The hood can be used as an extraction version (external venting) or as a recirculation filter version. The mode is determined during installation; to switch to recirculation, you need to install an activated charcoal filter (not supplied) and follow the installation instructions.
What to do if the hood stops working?
First check that the appliance is plugged in and the power supply is active. If the problem persists, consult the full manual for diagnostics or contact the after-sales service.
Can I clean the hood with abrasive products?
No, only use a damp cloth with a mild liquid detergent. Never use alcohol, abrasive products, or solvents, as they could damage the surfaces.
Is the hood suitable for use by children?
This appliance is not intended for use by children or persons with reduced capabilities without supervision. Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
