Frequently Asked Questions - L1 Lite Sonoff

How to pair the LED strip with the eWeLink app?

Power on the strip. Press and hold the ON button on the remote for 5 seconds until the strip flashes. Open the eWeLink app, tap +, select Quick Pairing and follow the instructions.

What if the app can't find the LED strip?

Try the compatible pairing mode: after flashing the strip (long press 5 s), press again for 5 s until it flashes rapidly. In the app, select Compatible Pairing Mode, connect to Wi-Fi ITEAD-***** with password 12345678, then return to the app and tap Next.

How to reset the LED strip to factory settings?

Press and hold the ON button on the remote for 5 seconds until the strip flashes. This indicates the device has been successfully reset and enters quick pairing mode.

The remote is not working, what to do?

Check the remote battery (type CR2025, 3 V). Replace if necessary. Make sure the remote is aimed at the IR receiver of the LED strip and there is no obstacle.

Can I control the LED strip with Alexa or Google Home?

Yes, after pairing the strip in the eWeLink app, you can link your eWeLink account to Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant for voice control.

How to activate the music reactive mode?

In the eWeLink app, select your device, then choose the Music mode. The LED strip will react to sound captured by your smartphone's microphone.

The LED strip flashes randomly or does not turn on properly.

This may be due to an unstable Wi-Fi connection or insufficient power supply. Ensure the 12 V 2 A adapter is properly connected. Try resetting the device and re-pairing it.

Can I cut the LED strip to the desired length?

Yes, the strip can be cut every 100 mm (every 3 LEDs) along the cut marks. Cut only at the indicated places to avoid damaging the circuits.

How to change the LED color?

Use the remote: the R (red), G (green), B (blue), W (white) keys and the color selector. You can also choose from 16 million colors via the eWeLink app.

Does the LED strip heat up normally?

Yes, it generates heat during operation. Install it in a ventilated area to dissipate heat. Do not cover it with flammable materials.

Cutable every 100mm

1. Pull out the insulation sheet, then long press "on" button for 5s until the light strip "flashes", which means it enters the quick pairing mode.

The device will exit the quick pairing mode if not paired within 3mins. If you want to enter this mode again, long press the "on" button on the remote controller for 5s until the light strip "flashes" and release.

1. Tap “+” and select “Quick Pairing”, then operate following the prompt on the app.

Compatible Pairing Mode

If you fail to enter Quick Pairing Mode (Touch), please try "Compatible Pairing Mode " to pair.

1 Long press the "on" button on the remote controller for 5s until the device "flashes" and release. Long press this button for 5s again until the device status changes from "flashing" to "quick flashing", then the device enters the Compatible Pairing Mode.
2 Tap “+” and select “Compatible Pairing Mode ” on APP.

Select Wi-Fi SSID with ITEAD-***** and enter the password 12345678, and then go back to eWeLink APP and tap "Next". Be patient until pairing completes.

Long press the "on" button on the remote controller for 5s until the device starts flashing, then the device has been reset successfully and enters the quick pairing mode.

When the light strip is used on a new network, it must first be reset to its factory settings and then set up again on the new network.

2. LED Light Sources are unchangeable, please don't dismantle them.
